No, not having a baby. But today I secured my second transition surgery approval letter!

90 minute consultation, no issues or speed bumps. She said all my answers were what they wanted to see, and that she saw no reason not to proceed. So the “new girl” will soon be ME!

I may have to wait a year or more before I make it through the queue to see the surgeon and get it done, but the only insurance gating factors left are waiting for August 22 of this year to roll around, so I will have been on HRT and living full time female for one full year. Going to contact the surgeon tomorrow, and see if I can preemptively get into the queue now, or at least start the doctor/patient dialog, so my surgeries can happen as soon as possible.

Woo hoo!

CONGRATS!

I won't be able to get my second letter until May. However, mine is scheduled for September 25th.

Woohoo! Yay for you Ceera!

I sent my letters several months ago. My date is set for July 10.

Congratulations! Ask the doctor's office to include you in the waiting list for cancelled surgeries.

Thanks everyone!

Called the surgeon's office today. They need to have my primary physician send in the referral, along with copies of the two authorization letters. So 4-6 weeks more to wait while those get churned out.

But once they have the referral and the two letters, they should be able to get me into the queue, without waiting for the 22nd of August (my 'one year on HRT threshold) before they even can schedule me. After all, the queue itself is over a year long, unless I get lucky on a cancellation and the date gets moved up. And yes, I will definitely let them know that if they have a cancellation, I a available and can make pretty much any earlier date, on very short notice.
