I was on the phone to a store today about some ladies Boots I have on hold.
The girl I was speaking to said "hold on Miss, I'll talk to a senior clerk". I could hear them chatting in the background and they said things like "the lady", "tell her", "if she's .." type statements.
The girl comes back on the phone, we sort out the issue and she says "thank you for calling us Ms **** (my real surname).
The strange thing is, I used my normal male voice! I gave her my real first name (male) and yet, all the way through the conversation she referred to me as a female. I wonder if it was the ladies boots that confused her?
In any case, I got a feel good vibe! I want more of them now!
