Some of us have heard the awful news of the passing of Keira Kristine, a wonderful lady from Erie, Pa yesterday. Keira was in the middle of her SRS and facial surgery when things went terribly wrong. Keira and her family were so looking forward to the surgery and her Facebook posts had a continuous countdown running down to the date.
Keira appearently had some clot and lung problems that manifested into cerebral problems. She passed on April 2nd.
A lot of us had just had a wonderful time with Keira at Keystone the week before. There are a lot of us feeling a little down this week.

Tragic...I think this is a second fatal outcome within the past few weeks brought up on this forum. Totally devastating....my condolences to all friends and family.

Even though I didn't know Keira, I learned enough from her spouses public Facebook page. What a beautiful couple. So sad...

I found her to be a powerful writer that could communicate well the experience before transitioning when one is still fractured into two people. The one that is real and the one that is presented. The one that is protected and the one that protects. She understood the insanity of living two dualities. The actual identity and the fabricated identity. Both trying to stay alive yet each knowing only one is possible.

I will miss her writing.

I am familiar with that struggle but I am not familiar with her work. I need to check it out.

My condolences to everyone who will experience loss with her passing.
