Hot and humid here also! I still got out and enjoyed myself even if it was only to get gas and go to the grocery store! Supposed to be 95-97 with a heat index as high as 114 so yeah too hot! Stay in the A/C as much as possible! Drink plenty of fluids! Remember that it will not last forever! LOL Hugs Lana Mae

Apparently, a good chunk of North America is currently under a so-called "Heat Dome". Bummer...but I'll take that over the equally infamous "Polar Vortex" any day.

I was counting on enjoying a "Leslie Day" out this coming Wednesday as my wife will be away on a day trip that day with one of her social groups, but now, I'm not so sure. Hate the thought of my makeup just melting off my face when exposed to all that heat and humidity. :sad:

B.T.W. - Yesterday I did a Costco run (in drab), and as soon as I stepped out of my air conditioned car, my glasses immediately fogged up. Never experienced that before...:eek: :doh:

Yes, I sweat under my wig and forms and yes my makeup feels like it's melting...

115 with the heat index :devil: the women from my local wigery finally found a buyer for her place so friday was a day off and she was giving me a good deal so i dolled up and trudged down to see her, 5960 drew in Malibu blonde $240.....at the club now with the air jacked up..... new wigs are the best. no grass on my property :)

yes I can echo these thoughts, where I live summer hot days are humid ones and with a wig on I roast! this coming week is nset be 103F I will be staying indoors !

Got dressed yesterday morning before it really got hot and went to the store to pick up
breakfast stuff. Wore a maxi dress and sandals, very comfortable.

Thought about dressing in the afternoon but it was just too hot here in NC, 95 degs and
super high humidity.

Even hot here in Colorado. But we don't often have much humidity and most homes don't even have air conditioning - window fans at night, close it up during the day. Friday it was 101 here in Denver. Since 1867 or something like that, Denver has hit 100 or higher only 92 times. Friday, to avoid the heat I took off and climbed a 14er (those are our mountains that exceed 14,000 feet high). Temp in the low 60s at 13,000 to 14,000 feet and if that is too warm then go play on a snowfield. When I returned to Denver it was like diving into an oven. Yikes!

It was still over 100 here yesterday at 5pm. It didn't really start to cool down until 10pm, when the T-storms rolled in.

Angie, I went out in DC last night and it was 100 when I got to the restaurant for my local meetup. My only change was not wearing a girdle and hip pads. My one concession to the heat.

you just see what the GGs are weating

A great time for sleeveless tops , shorts short skirts
Light weight fabrics cool light colors
Less makeup hair up etc

While it has been hot and humid here in Georgia, We try to cope with the heat in various ways. Today I was able to completely dress and put some makeup on. Fortunately, I have my own long hair (attached at the folicles). I went to a friends house and visited with her (a GG) in air conditioning for about 7 hours. I wore pantyhose with high heels and a mini-skirt with a thin blouse to stay cool. Had a very nice day.

I HATE this weather too, I'm not alone in hating this weather, which is nice to know. :D I was beginning to think it was just me.
