Today started out good, but went to hell when she took a misstep and re-injured her right knee. The pain was excruciating!!! I've never seen her cry so hard! Back to the clinic. The Doc examined the knee (nothing torn nor broken .. yesterday's X-Ray). She got a new, different knee brace, crutches and prescribed, strong pain killers. Just getting her to and in the car, then out, seemed to take forever. Every baby step hurt her so badly. More tears. But, we made it. Our trip to a casino was put on hold for now, if ever.

Two days ago, I went to the clinic in full femme; today, in drab. I'd have to remove my beautiful nail polish, but she suggested gloves. I had some dark blue vinyl ones, and they did the job..still got the polish.. no one ever asked why I was wearing gloves, either.

We'll see what tomorrow deals us. I'm back to pretty as I type this, and she's asleep.

Jenny, That is too bad your sister got hurt again. Maybe give her another day of quiet before heading out. I know you are both disappointed.

Dang, tough week. Maybe the lesson is to enjoy the time you have together, at home, away from hazards!

Hi Jenny,

Most unfortunate. May tomorrow be much better.

Best wishes.

Jenny, I may be way off base here, but it sounds (to me) like you sister is trying so hard to show you her love and acceptance - that she is ignoring her own well being.

Might I suggest that for right now, you both worry less about outings, and shift your focus to her.
I'm thinking that this is the time that you get to show what a loving, supportive, care-giving sister you can be as you nurse her back to health.
Let her be your priority right now. The rest of the world can wait a little while longer.

Having a bad knee, without being worked on for many years like that, I know that pain is excruciating just for pulling a tendon. I hope she has recovered by now and you can continue your plans.

I can thoroughly sympathise with you and your sister, Jenny. Along with her other ailments Wifeling has a severely damaged right ACL. No fun at all.

Take care of her and you.
