Hi all. Currently, I am known as Lynne. My wife and I live in a 5th wheel full-time traveling the U.S. and Canada. I get to go out once a year when my wife is off to a conference. Next week will be the second time I have gone out. I am super excited about the opportunity.
As for my name, I am struggling with it. I have asked friends on Facebook for feedback and suggestions for my name.

I feel like a name should be personal to you, and not a product of a committee. This is your chance to define your identity!

Hi Lynn,
I’m moving your post from Introductions to M to F. Introduction threads are closed after a couple of weeks.

Hello!
A name is both just a name but yet an important part of ourselves. I go by three names in my life. My birth name, an online handle i made in high school and Victoria. Each is something is a different aspect of myself.
My advice to you is pick a name that just feels right to you. Something important. I chose my name of Victoria because of an old TV show called Dark Shadows that I grew up watching on tv. There was a woman named Victoria and she was the name character. She was smart, funny, beautiful, kind, and willing to help someone if they need it. She always saw the bright side of anything. She became a roll model to me. So when I decided that I needed a name that was more female then my birth name I went with Victoria. Plus it is a beautiful name.
Basically take your time and find the name that is you. In old mythology names were considered to have power. The act of naming something was never taking lightly.
My best wishes and luck to you. ~Vicky.

I’d also recommend something that has meaning to you, or else something similar to your guy name. Nothing is worse then having someone saying “Betty. Betty. Betty! BETTY!” Before you remember that you’re Betty.

For a number of reasons I thought about a name change a few years ago. I asked three women (GG) for suggestions based on my image. To my utter astonishment, two of the three came up with the name Clarissa, which is not a common name in the UK. I didn't change it in the end.

No reason your name can’t change and evolve over time either. Unless you’re going for a legal name change, you don’t have to be locked in. Try it for a while and see how it grows on you. I still use Micki Finn a lot, but I have organically also earned the name Pippa Laporte.

Pippa is a cool name. Micki Finn makes me think of a roofie.
Mickie, regarding your earlier reply, I used a similar method to choose the names of our pugs. The name we chose wasn't one of the names I included in the survey or suggested by my friends. But, reading their comments triggered my subconscious to find the perfect name for them - Panco and Lefty.
Thank you for your replies.

So, you're with your SO every minute of every day and nite? And, u only get to dress once a year, Lynne?
To me that sounds like you've either both found the love of your life. Or, pure torture!

A lot of good advice. Mine evolved from my male name over several years (ok, decades), from Jill to Jennifer to Jenny to Ginny to currently Jinny. They popped into my head over the thousands of times I evolved starting with crossdressing. Since you don't get out much , I can understand any lack of inspiration. Hours and hours of reflection time it took for me. Reflection; Mirrors. Get it? Ok you can all laugh now. :)
At least she lets you store your fashion-wear onboard. I've traveled in small quarters and room fills up quick, especially with shoes! :)
We hope you share whatever you choose.

My name is a remembrance of a girl I once knew and greatly admired.

She is the love of my life. I am working up the courage to tell her. I don't want to screw it up.

My name is a pun taken from one of my favorite bands. I chose not to use a "corrupted" (for lack of a better term) version of my male name, for privacy reasons. Although my wife calls me the female version of my male name when I'm in girl-ish mode.

What does that mean?

Lynn is a nice name. For me a name should be you or someone that you feel a strong connection to. IMO

Lynne, I like your name. Unless you have an issue with it. Good luck with your outing.

Names are so very personal for some evolving for them also means changing names along the way to express themselves as they see fit at that time, but a name has to be a comfortable one and to sit right with one. My name is an embodyment of my real name and reinforces the change in me to be a woman.

As far as Names go, choose one based on a Woman you admire and whom you think you resemble. And/or use a fem version of a middle name. I did both.

A Rose by an other name still smells as sweet.
