View Full Version : Where do you keep your en femme items?

I have read this board a lot over the last week and have not seen a thread on where we keep our en femme items. If you have a SO who doesn't know, where do you store your better half?
I had a very extensive wardrobe that I dumped when my wife started suspecting. During this time I was buying via on-line auction at that site we all know and love. I would have the purchases sent to a P.O. Box # and then would take them to a storage build space I had rented for twenty dollars a month. (I didn't think the cost was much for all the beautiful things I bought)
You may not have as much accumulated as I had and may be able to keep them some place closer.
Currently, my wardrobe is very limited, to avoid detection, I have it stored in an old trunk in my house.
I wish I had a SO like some of you have who know and accept, but I still have to conceal my "softer self".
Love you all,
Sabrina

I used to hide it all in a hockey bag no one ever knew that is when I lived at home and before I came out but half the time no one will ever suspect a sports bag

Hi Sabrina:

I am one of those whom do not enjoy the good graces from the SO. Actually she does not know about Kathy.

I have undergone many a purge over the years and vowed there will no more of that foolishness. I keep my htings, what precious few I have, in a back pack and since my SO refuses to go anywhere up high, I manage to keep them in the attic.

Good luck in finding your "place."

Kath resides in several places in the garage. Undies, forms, wigs, shoes and make-up in one of those plastic storage boxes next to hunting and golf gear. Skirts and top in a suit bag hung with my hunting stuff. Some dresses and pants suit are in a box with the car care stuff. It's a pain in the butt. Wish I had the stuff in one drawer and in the closet in the house.

I believe I missed my big chance about two years ago when I was busted because I left a pair of shaper panties out by accident. We talked around the edges of my cross dressing for a week or so. While not openly supporting it she did acknowledge I was the same guy she married over 40 years ago. She, in my mind, sort of condoned it when she said she didn't want me going out dressed and didn't want our kids, both grown with families of their own, to know. She asked where I kept my stuff and I told her the garage. This is where I almost asked about keeping it in the house but just didn't feel right about it. I don't think she grasped the extent to which I dress, suspect she thought it was some panties etc. I suppose I'll never know but it sure would be nice to go to a drawer and closet when the opportunity for a session presents itself rather than carry stuff inside upstairs and then have to carry it all back out. Besides it would be so much easier on the dresses and wigs.

Poor Kath has to bide her time in all the heat and cold.

Hugs Kath

KathyCD, Kath, Jennaie, thanks for your "secrets". KathyCD i have vowed to not purge again. I have begun buying again and will start back on-line soon. That means another storage space, HHHOOOOOOORRRRRRAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!
Kath, I fully understand. It's difficult, but very necessary. I will continue to go back and forth until I can find someone with whom I can dress with. I am self employed and have many days when I don't need to work. When the wife is at work, if the kids are gone, I get a chance to unfold my en femme wings. I wish I could find someone to spend some dressing time with during the day. That's why I am jealous of you Jennaie. You have the perfect situation for dressing freeely. I hope we all find someone or our someones' who will be accepting.

I keep my femme things on the left hand side of my closet, and my drab on the right. 12 pairs of my shoes hang in a shoe sorter on the inside of my closet door. My breast forms are in the overhead closet. My bras are in one drawer, my gloves, panties, thongs, shapers, etc in another. I live alone, and my GF knows and views Wenda as a shopping buddy. We dont live together yet, so, she considers it an advantage to have Wenda around instead of strange women. (although Wenda can be pretty strange!) My kids know. I just try to keep things neat, and not leave breast forms on the counter, etc.

Up until recently I kept my things in a false bottom built into a work bench in the basement. My shoes were in a false bottom of a cabinet housing my table router. But in the past six months I have bought so many more things I had to rethink my storage. Now I have a storage box in the attic. My wife has never, in over thirty years in the house, gone into the attic. And now that the kids are gone I feel relatively safe with my stuff up there. A little inconvenient, but safe. Still, I wish, like many of you, that I could simply have it all in a closet.

In my Navy days kept the little I had in the trunk of the car. But being subject to vehicle inspection at the whim of a Marine, decided to rent an apartment and kept the stuff there.

Nowadays in the closet, dresser, drawers under the bed, in the armoire, on the headboard. Not to many more places empty to put stuff.

During my previous marriage it was the attic in an old suitcase and a small closet in the basement. It was just underthings so I didn't really worry about it too much. There would no way I could hide the amount of stuff I have now unless like Sabrina I rented a storage facility. :cheeky:

Now Leigh has the entire 3rd bedroom/guest room. We rarely have guests and visitors never go in there.

sabrina mercedes

Lauren, Randi, Barbie, Leigh, concealment is such a problem. I wish I had an apartment or room to store, dress and preen. Without such freedom I take advantage of similar space. Just like now, I have one child at home with the others out and my wife at work, but I have to dress and cover in drab. Black boy short panties, a wide lace garter and sheer black stockings with a full black mini slip all under khaki pants (UUUUUGGGGGGGHHHHHH) and a white cotton shirt. I feel so bi.

Sounds a bit like me. I live alone and would not mind leaving a few things out .....I am always fearful of THAT unexpected knock on my door by family or friends. (None of them know about me ... but more about that another time). Like That day I came home from work and my mom was there in the drive waiting for me ....... My life passed before my eyes ...... remembering there was a skirt and bra laying out in my living room. Got out of that but am sure it is only temporary .......... Jolene

two chests of drawers my side of bed, 4 drawers contain underwear, makeup, breast forms and my wig. skirts and blouses live in the wardrobe with my wifes skirts and blouses. shoes are in a separate bedroom cupboard. everything near and handy. no problems about concealment. I use storage boxes on top of cupboard in my study where only I usually go, they are high up and all items are neatly folded, my bag for taking items out to dress with friends also kept there. Have limited my clothes to my favourite silky/satin blouses, short skirts and few dresses. Make-up and wigs there too.

I keep my rapidly growing collection in my closet. I use garmet bags, shoe boxes, gym bags, and other bags mostly hidden behind my hanging shirts (I have a two tier closet organizer that allows the shirts to hang low to the floor). I am going to tell my wife soon. Hopefully I would have to be ultra secretive in hiding things.

About a year ago, when I seemed to go overboard with buying fem things, I decided I had too much to hide in boxes and stuff in back of drawers. I wasn't using much of the left side of my closet, so I decided to put things up appropriately. I now hang in the closet many of my dresses, skirts and tops on the 'left side of the closet', bought a shoe cabinet to house the many pairs of women's shoes I have, and the top shelf is left for my breast enhancers. our six drawer dresser was divided by my wifes side, and my side, and now the lower drawer stores all my fem underwear.

Now for the kicker...it wasn't until about six months later, when my wife discovered the left side of my closet! All she could say was "A fur coat?"

Well we're still married...for now.

I live alone and i use t keep it under the bed. Untill my grand mother started coming over to clean my house just to keep her moving and it made her happy. now i keep it under my fold out couch bed i removed the mattress to make space. It's working really well and any body asked i tell them it's broke and can't be used.

I've been living by myself for a while and haven't had to hide anything, until now. A friend has found themself needing new accomodation in a hurry and they knew I have a spare bedroom (I said I'd take them in if they couldn't find another place, and I suspect they'd given up looking for another place once I said that)... I've just been packing it all away this weekend. It's all in boxes in my closet now. I'll just tape the boxes closed for good measure before my friend moves in but that's all. What that means is that I won't be wearing any of it again until my friend finds another place, which could be anywhere from weeks to months.

My wife has known for a long time. Before the kids she was Ok at times helping me dress. Nowadays I think she just assume not know about it. Anyway, I have some stuff in the top of closet shelf. But I also have a complete "dress up kit" in the tirewell of my car so I can change into on occasion when out of town.

Before I told my wife about Shari, I used to keep my things in a locked toolbox in the back of my truck. In it, I had three plastic tubs. One for dresses, one for shoes, and one for everything else. Now I am lucky that my wife lets me keep my things in the house. Shari has her own closet and she is slowly squeezing the male side out of the dresser. LOL!

I have a drawer in the bottom of my chest of drawers that I keep all of my panties, bras, and hosiery. I have a wonderful wife who allows me to keep my dresses and skirts in with hers. My shoes also hang out in there as well. No hiding things in my house. Thank God.

Keep some locked in a toolbox in the garage and some in a pouch behind the seat of my truck. Wife found my duffle bag with padlock, wow, was she mad. She threw them away and I interecepted them and into my toolbox and behind my seat, whew, close!

I have a 5x10 storage locker that I essentially rehabed to look like a big walk in closet. (I have a lot of clothes and don't purge.) Until recently I had them all in locked storage bins, but when I went over 10 bins I decided enough was enough. The locker is less than 5 minutes away by car.

It took me forever to unpack and "move in", but it was one of the best decisions I have made. The hanging stuff is on hangers, everything is where I can see it and basically me and my girl side are happy with the arrangements.

I keep a small overnight bag (locked of course) with some quick essentials in case I should get the urge for an impromptu dress up. I also keep a few weeks' worth of undies in another locked bag. I do my very best to never vary from where I keep things. Even though my wife now knows, I don't want to be in her face about dressing.

We have a large wardrobe in one of the spare bedrooms and my femme things have 1/3rd of it.

Whilst it was her I idea for Sarahjane to have her own wardrobe her views on the subject swing from buying her stuff to will you please give it up.

A fur coat, I hope she lets you wear it some times. I was storing 1 and a wedding gown for a friend while she moved, I loved to wear them, two things that feel so fem. As for hiding places my gf (doent live with me) doesnt snoop much so Kristen's things are in the guest bedroom closet

Good question, Sabrina.

Last time I moved, I needed to rent storage space anyways. I placed most of my fem. things there.

The rest I keep in one large suitcase (do they still call them suitcases now? It's one of those boxy nylon things with wheels, zipper, etc.) with a lock on it.

When I've lived places with maid service, I kept stuff neatly folded in a coupleof rubbermaid containers. I never found that to be a bother. In fact, it forced me to keep things clean and freshly laundered.

I also used to keep things in a couple of suitcases in the trunk of my car.

Over the years, I've hidden my stuff in a lot of the places mentioned in the posts. I too had a storage locker for many years, I think the manager went into my locker (probably by removing the hinges) to hook up a security alarm syatem.

My wife has known about Mitzi for almost 20 years, and until two or three years ago, despite being hostile, kinda looked the other way. Then an unfortunate incident led to her demanding I quit dressing, period. I tried, for a whole month, purged everything, sigh...now have a locker at Carla's, a TG boutique/shop. Other than being a bit of a drive, it's a perfect arrangement, a safe and private place, accessible 24/7, to store stuff, and dress.

A kind of funny (in retrospect) incident. For awhile, I kept all my girly stuff in the trunk of my '66 Mustang. I'd park it in the parking lot of the local rapid transit station and take the train to work. I got a call from the police one day that soneone had been caught trying to heist the Mustang. So I had to go verify that no, I hadn't sold the guy my car, and the police asked if anything was missing. I'm sure they wondered why I didn't check the contents of the trunk...

when I was single, i had a desk which had a locking drawer, and I kept wendy's clothing in there.

but now that i'm not single anymore, it presented a new challenge, so I've kept all my clothing in boxes in the tool room, as the wife rarely goes in there anyways.

Years ago I traveled a bit and kept a box of work related supplies in my car. I created a false bottom and kept a few things in there. It would only hold a 2 pair of shoes, a few hose and panties. I did not dress all the way then.
Later, as I started adding more clothing, I kept it in boxes in the attic. Looked like business stuff. then a few years ago, I built a cedar closet in the attic for my hunting clothes and gear. I created a false bottom between the attic floor, which is over the garage. so it's in between the attic floor and the garage ceiling. I am limited in space so I have to limit what I have. I am sometimes fearful that I wll come home one day to see the garage ceiling fallen through and my clthes and shoes all over the garage - I guess I'd be busted for sure then! I am thinking about taking some things up to my other attic and put them in boxes. I don't store anything else up there, but no one other than me or a service man ever goes up there. I'v also thought about renting storage, but that would be even more inconvient and expensive!

In the closet....as with the rest of my hobby...

Seriously, I have a mid-sized suitcase with a lock on it that slides under my bed. Since I am carefully managing my hobby and dress only monthly, having those delicious temptations around in my sock drawer might be too dangerous. Inside the suitcase is another bag so that everything is still covered. On top of that there is a file folder which says "Read Me First".
The folder contains my story of how I've come to this strange obsession and some of the best articles I've gleaned from the internet and books on crossdressing. The folder also contains a directive to go no further and to simply return the case intact to Value Village or Salvation Army where most of the stuff came from anyway.
The whole point of this is that, as we all know and fear, people easily and quickly jump to incorrect conclusions about our kind. If I were to die or was hospitalised suddenly, my boys, friends and ex-wife absolutely need to know the truth about the peace and beauty I have found through properly dressing my feminine traits
and how difficult it has been for me to keep it secret for their sakes. They need to know that I am not gay or anything. They need to know that I have caused no one harm with this.
One main goal I have had through all of this is to harm no one and at the same time explore and enjoy as fully as possible the joy I have found nurturing my feminine identity through the years. To have that all end up as a huge pile of embarassment for those I love would be a crime.
Anyone still taking the chance?

Ranee

but I have two drawers devoted to Megan. That guy who shares my dresser has like 8 drawers... really, he doesn't need that many clothes. jerk... He spends half his time wearing MY clothes anyway... (how's THAT for an identity crisis?)

Before I met my wife to be, I had very little of my own. A bra, a skirt, a hair extension. Not too difficult to keep in one dresser drawyer underneath guy clothes. My college roomate was not nosey.

But now, after 30 years? Good grief. We have a four bedroom house, and every closet has some of my dresses/skirts/blouses/sweaters/blazers/slips. On top of that, we hung steel closet rods in the master bedroom, and the sewing room, and the utility room, and they are full of clothes, mostly mine. Panties in with my guy briefs. Some things folded and sitting on metal shelves in the Mbr. My wigs usually stay in a downstairs closet. Shoes are split between that closet and the one in the MBr. There are cardboard boxes of clothes that don't fit, out in the garage. There are 16 feet of closet rod, and many, many boxes, offsite in a large storage unit.

I can honestly say that my wife is welcome to wear anything I have. If friends visit, I guess they assume I am very generous. You'd think they might wonder why she has so many dresses and only ever wears pants though.

Hey now, I got this obsession from my mother! I know, I should have a garage sale. I just dread the questions about where it all came from.

Hugs,

Bernice

In the closet of course which I abandoned so there is plenty of room. My wife does support me so there is no problem there. I have a special closet where I keep most of my feminine finery. Nowadays I have a beautiful and accepting wife and so all my fem clothes are slowly outing my male clothes in our wardrobes and drawers. I wear at least knickers everyday so they must be accessible.

Not so long ago I used to have a box or two hidden in the garage with all my stuff in but I got lazy and kept a few items in the bed drawer. My wife found them but waited for me to say something!

As a youngster my room had an opening into the eaves and so a box tucked under the floor between the joists had all my special goodies.

I've been living alone for roughly 14 years so keeping my femme things hiddin has been no problem.
I've allways had closet space to put things and also space under the bed.
I did spend 2 years living with my nephew so I had to put things away under the train layout table in boxes. Most of the items needed washing when I moved into the place I currently live in.
The closet door can be closed though when I do have friends over to visit since most of my friends don't know I dress femme and I want to keep it that way.

Oh I have a dresser too to keep my undies and such:D
