Hiya everyone =)

I was wondering if I could get some input for you all. This is the first picture I've ever taken of myself. First time with makeup and a wig too lol. I'm still working on the look so I'm sure it'll change. When you look at my picture (if I upload this right lol) what name comes to mind? I like Cindy but I'm just not sure =( Maybe something more latina sounding. I don't know, would really like some input. I'm Hawaiian so my experience with names are ones that are REALLY long lol.

I like Cindy too, the important thing is that you like it. I'd say you answered your own question.

Google Names- you'll come up with many lists to browse. There may be something out there which will just leap off the page at you, like seeing yourself in the mirror!

How about Candide hon, it's both feminine and Latino at the same time?

Leilani is a nice name.

Why not a Hawaiian name?

Leilani is a nice name.

I was thinking something similar, thinking of Queen Liliuokalani, and wondering about the name "Lela", which is kind of similar and was fairly common in the US in the early 20'th century

How about Veronica? I don't know why, but when I saw you, that just popped out, vocally.
You're very, very pretty, and the best advice I can give you is to give yourself a name that equally feels and sounds pretty when you say the name to yourself.

You are very pretty so I'd definitely stick with a pretty name. I really love names like Danielle or Daniella, they are both very feminine. One of my favourites is also Eugenie, (pronounced Ujaynee). There are lots if you take the time to look and dont make a hastey decision. Let us know what you eventually decide on.
Take care

Do what I did--- Choose a Feminine version of your MIDDLE name. Its easy and provides a "Link" to your real self.---But if that is not possible, or you dont like the fem version of your middle name try a fem name that shares the first letter of two with your middle name. I didnt like Martha so I settled on Marina.

I like Leilani.

Do not mean to trivialize your issue - but I just heard the song

"Lulu's Back In Town"

If I'm ever reborn it will be as Lulu (or else "Miss Otis")

first of all let me say you look great. I would have to agree with Leilani or Layla they both would fit you very well, however the question is who do YOU see when YOU look in the mirror. Have fun with it.

You have a lovely face. You must change your avatar soon.

Cindy works fine, but I also see

Mary
Diane,
Eve,
Sally,
even Roseanne...

Hugs,

Bernice

I'd like to thank everyone for your kind words and your input =) So many choices I like that I hadn't even thought about yet, lol. Ralph was WAY tempting but I don't know...doesn't seem to fit exactly :p I really like the Hawaiian names, but my dad is the oldest of 19. Needless to say, my family has all the Hawaiian names I like covered and I don't think it would feel right to share a name with a relative. Besides, we have five Leilani's lol.

Thanks again for your time =), I probably should think about this a bit more.

How 'bout "The CDer formerly known as Crisack."

Hmmm, maybe thinking about it a little more would be prudent.

How 'bout Prudence?

Nah, that's silly.

Hey, how 'bout Sally?

No, I'd defintely say sleep on it.

Nightie night, and good luck with the name thingy.

Hugs.

Tammi

hey, how 'bout sammi? pammi? mammi?

whatdaya want from me? at least I'm trying for Christ's sake?

Hey...

Tammi....You made tea come out of my nose, lol Who knows, maybe going by just a symbol is the in thing nowadays. What's the symbol for Ralph?

uknowhoo
03-28-2006, 11:27 PM
I believe the symbol for Ralph is one of those girlie silouhettes you see on the tire flaps of 18 wheelers - kneeling over a toilet.

Dont' ask the question if you don't want the answer. :D

Crisack,,,that is very unusual in and of itself. Nice picture of you! May I offer the following idea? I was stumped by the same situation you find yourself in...I feel this way..I look this way..etc..What I did was to look at my friends and family and see if there was a name connection there.I thought about who I am closest to and most admire...I came up with Kristine from my sister, although I did change the spelling and then a cousin of mine that I adore. We were very close growing up and then she moved away, but we always kept in contact as penpals..(wow, that dates this issue!) Her name was Diane which I changed to Dyan....Poof (cloud of smoke here) and I became KristineDyan.
So maybe look around you and think down those lines....worked for me!
Best wishes!
