Hi all, so I just checked into a hotel/casino in Vegas and plan to go out to bars and clubs tonight-yea! The only thing , this hotel lobby is huge and there is a huge crowd of people in the lobby and elevator area. So hopefully I will be brave enough to wear my new black sequin dress - it is pretty short. I will report in later. Maybe like Minirock did. Wish me luck please.

Just walk around like you own the place. Don't look like a scared mouse or that you just stole the crown jewels. Most people in Vegas are just worried about themselves and the money they win or lose.

The first time I went out, I did really well..until I became self conscious. Before that no one gave me a second look. After that it seemed everyone saw me. I ended up taking a deep breath and moving ahead...and it worked.

You will be fine, especially in Vegas.

I've been to Vegas countless times, Sandi. Short skirts r quite standard in Vegas. Just be careful to keep your legs together when u sit down!:eek:

Congrats to you for overcoming your fears about walking through the front lobby. We’ve all been there. It’s so true about confidence vs being self conscious. It’s the ‘not’ nervous energy you give off.

Glad you made it to Phirana club, that’s probably where my wife and I have the most fun when we go to Vegas. The straight bars are fun too but the LGBT clubs have the most accepting, fun people found anywhere! Please post pics when you get a chance

Wow do I have a headache partly from lack of sleep. I think I got back to the hotel around 4 am. I am getting ready to hop on a plane home now. It was pretty fun. I have been to a lot of bars while dressed and been other places as well but some reason I was a little spooked when leaving the hotel. The elevators were full of a bunch of guys in the military of the UK which seemed kind of odd but they were nice. I joked with some of them saying- don?t laugh because I meet more women dressed that way than I ever did before. I met several nice women at both Piranha and the Phoenix. I chatted with a very nice looking cross dresser as well.at Piranha. I didn?t get drunk anyhow at 28 bucks a drink. All in all it was a good time with no problems at all. Will have to see if I can post a pic once I get home so I can edit the file size.

I LOVE Vegas. At a DLV gathering 2 years ago, I was en femme 24/7. I even drove both ways full dressed pretty. I never had a problem, in fact I chatted with several ladies who wanted to know more about my dressing. I liked it so much that I went to The DLV gathering again last year with the same results. I'm going again in a couple of months with my wonderful fully accepting sister. We are going to have a great time!!

Thanks everyone. I will say traveling a lot has its pros and cons, but for crossdressing, it has been great being able to visit so many cities and hit some really cool clubs while meeting some nice accepting people.

The great irony of going out and about en femme is that we are safer in large crowds. The truth is the opposite of what we think as we peek out of the closet.

Wow, Sandi, what a tremendous success. I wish I'd been reading your posts live; that would have been doubly exciting. But I've not checked in here for a few days.

I also rather like this "live reporting" genre. Because going out dressed as the wrong sex is definitely scary, for me at least and clearly partly for you as well. And for those who've not yet ventured outside, maybe they can come along vicariously, or even be inspired themselves, knowing somehow what to expect.

Finally, great that you met so many women out. That's a major selling point for me as well, although I'm still so much a beginner that I've only spoken to a couple of women who stopped me in the street (that would never happen as a man). The first time I've described here and the second stole money - kind of!

The last time I was there I barely had enough cash left for the cab driver taking me to the airport!

I?ve been to Vegas many times myself. I don?t go to bars, but I go to shows and hang around the casinos because it?s the only place you can smoke. If you go to the casino and see a fancy looking lady smoking a big cigar, it could very well be me.

I'm glad you had a good time in my city. Sorry just now seeing this. Not that I could have went out haveing to be at work at 3 am. Just keep in mind for everyone Vegas is a pretty laid back city with a very diverse nightlife. If you want it you can find it in this city.

Gee thanks for all the responses. I will try to get some pics posted tomorrow, and for Courtney- no I have not flown en femme. I have a 2nd suitcase I travel with that weights 39 lbs. It takes a lot for me to transform into someone presentable, plus I have to carry stuff for work so it?s a bit much for me to deal with. Besides I usually only have time for one evening dressed up when I travel for work. I do have to prioritize things but manage to squeeze in a little fun.

Congrats! I think Vegas is my favorite place to dress because a) you see a bit of everything and NO ONE cares, and b) you can get dressed up more than you would most other places for no reason, and I LOVE to dress up! Haha. Nice pics Stephanie. We must think alike wearing black sequin dresses. Mine is actually a wrap dress and I had to get a black bra to go with it because it is cut kind of low. My bra was showing slightly. I only put my pictures in the pictures forum. I see you had a drink in your hand as well. It seems you had quite a good time as well.
