OK Girls,
For those of us who have not had our ears pierced, where on earth do you find clip on earings these days?

Fiona, I am having the same problem. I have taken to mail order when I see something coming through. I ordered a cute set of magnetic earrings that arrived the other day. A bit of a pain to get on really, but once on, they don't come off without you pulling them off ;)

Love,
Vicky

Walmart and Target both have some. In the costume jewelry area there is usually a revolving rack of earrings. About half of one side of the rack is usually devoted to clip ons. Nothing really elegant but better than nothing.

No idea where to buy clip-ons, but if you decide to get pierced, get it done at a proper piercing place (where they do all the scary piercings! ) rather than an accessories shop or a hairdressers or wherever, and get it done with a needle rather than a gun - they heal up better and quicker, and you get less problems with them in future years.

I sometimes see these earings at flea markets, I don't know what flea market is called in the UK,,Boot sales? Or those outdoor markets, like they have in London.

Amelie is quite right, besides all the options she has stated most general markets have stalls or shops selling costume jewellry, here you'd find clip ons of all kinds.

Thrift stores are great for that type of thing. Then again, why not just get them pierced?

I found some marvelous ones on EBay. Just type in on the search and many, many earrings will come up, both for auction and buy now.

I wear a lot of those spring-loaded earrings. They are usually hoops but have a small spring that holds them on. Very authentic looking and they fit tight enough to even add some dangles from other earrings.

I found them in one of those jewelry places in the Mall. It was called, Claire's. They cater to teen girls, mostly. They also carry the magnetic earrings which do look great.

I think they have a web site... just do a google... it should pop up!

Just had another thought about this - lots of craft shops, haberdashery shops and the like have small bags of earring bits, for people who want to make their own earrings. On the basis that they have bits for pierced ears, they've almost certainly got just the clip/screw-on bit, and then you could buy any earrings you wanted, and just change the top bit so that you can fix them to your ears. Does that make sense? :o

I've bought 5 or 6 pair off the auction at femfatale, can't remember the exact add. (I have it bookmarked) but go to femm.com hit links and find the auction sight. It is run off an adult sight run by Anna Christopher, and she is a real doll. Answers any questions I have, and has gone way out of her way to find things I like, and even dug things out of her closet, and emailed asking if I'd be interested. If you have problems finding the sight, let me know, I'll post the address. This is not a paid advertisement, ;-) just a very satisfied customer. Huggs to all, Bonnie

I had one ear pierced years ago, and nobody ever said anything about it - or the earring.

Nowadays, there is nothing remarkable about men with pierced ears - or pierced anything, for that matter.

So, I will get both my ears pierced soon. You do have to wear earrings a lot or they grow over.

Have you tried dollar stores such as Dollar Tree? Occassionally, they get in stuff like that.
