Shoulder Pads

Well, I guess that this will date me, but does anyone else remember the fad of shoulder pads, you know the padded bits which squared up your shoulders. I read in another thread of someone looking like a linebacker in a dress, that is exactly what the pads did, made me(I know) look like I had football pads on. I remember the nights carefully cutting out the pads.

Usually the first thing I do with a dress is cut off the shoulder pads, and I have been doing this since the 70s and have done it this year. I will leave them on only in a suit coat.
