View Full Version : How do you like your male look?

For me, becoming Karen is more of a narcissistic thing. I have never liked my male look but I love my female look. And as much as the whole CDing thing is exciting and erotic, I believe my number one objective is to be attractive in a way I can't achieve even in my best drab suit or jeans.

Anyone else dislike their male look?

Well I think if he would loose the beer gut it would help:mad:

Since I don't go out dressed, my male drab is not all that great. I my male clothes, I can't look down and see my legs in hose and high heels, coming from under a skirt.

I don't look at the guy in the mirror unless I have to. I wish my mirror would tell me some little white lies .

OMG Lawren, that is EXACTLY what I do when in drab. I NEVER look at my male reflection unless I absolutely have to! Now I'm realizing that I need help. This is certainly a self-esteem issue... something that's held me back for too many years.

I actually like my male look. On the weekends I wear a t-shirt and sweatpants, but for work and whenever I need/want to look presentable I wear a polo shirt and dockers. Classy but still comfortable.

I don't mind my male self too much. I've always been stronger than I looked and I played a lot of sports, which I was reasonably good at. The part I hated most about myself was my nose. It was broken when I was about 9 months old so it couldn't be fixed at the time. I've always been self concious about it and especially when I get dressed up en femme. I'm finally going to get it fixed next month.

I could stand to lose 20-25 lbs to give myself a much slimmer look.

I've always been able to make friends easily enough and girls found me easy to talk to and felt comfortable around me.

So given a choice though between being male or female, I would choose female.

My male self is usually plain boring, sometimes I can push it to a well-dressed man without real enthusiasm. Trying to become a bit more interesting, or feel better, most of the time ends with female clothes.:D

I'm not comfortable with my male look....reminds me of what I'm trying to forget. Only stare at my face in the mirror during shaving. I alaways keep some makeup on the whole day so I'm happy with the person in the mirror !
Like to tease my hair in the mirror .... makes me feel more femme.

My male look is wearing dresses or women's pants. No different from my female look (if I have one). The look can be dressy enough for church, or ragged edges and covered with paint splotches, or somewhere in between, depending on how dirty I might get doing what I am doing.

Didn't mind my Male look back in the days when my beard was dark brown. Now the beard is gone (it turned whitish grey!) and even the 'stash is gone to let Teresa shine more brightly through! Don't think much of the present male look, but have noticed the ladies like it more:D

I'm satisfied and comffortable with the male look. Neither my male or femme look is necessarily special but I'm satisfied with both for the most part. :)

Not at all! Sucks. Pisses me off even to have to dress in drab now days. I retire in a day. Am so looking forward to dressing more femme.

Sounds like I'm one the exceptions...I like my male self, and male life. CDing is a pleasurable "addiction", but I don't ever want it take over my whole life.

I'm actually fairly happy with my male side, sure I could work out a bit more, or cut my hair a little more regularly ;), but I'm a pretty good looking guy. My narcissism is there both in female and male mode, anytime I pass a mirror I always look at myself ;)

Do not like my male look. Have always been self conscience about it and never thought I looked very good. A good thing about the makeup is that it hides some of my flaws. Girls have the advantage of being able to hide some of their flaws.

I don't like my male look, I mean it's OK but I make a much better looking woman.

When I'm in male mode and have to look at myself in a mirror, I honestly feel like I'm looking at someone else. I guess my mental image of myself doesn't match my reflection. It used to really bother me alot, but not so much anymore.

Tina, you hit right on the head. Getting rid of the beer gut (actually, the bread and french fry gut) would make less unhappy with my male appearance... not to mention my femme appearance.

I have always been one that likes my male self. I clean up pretty good I'm told. Not patting myself on the back, but I think I'm not too bad loking for my age. However, that doesn't stop me from my cd'ing. I enjoy that also, but as I get older, seems I'd like to dress more often and maybe to a point of full time (which would be impossible..... or maybe not) Anyway, it's taken me too long to just fully accept myself, and I rather enjoy it.

I have always thought of myself as handsome. I can get dressed up in a suit and looke pretty good. I think at 49 I am still handsom for my age and have had many women tell me I look younger. I do color my (shor) male hair to keep that youthful apprearance. My wife said I was vain and I told her yes I am! (I want to look younger in both my male and female sides.)

I don’t like my male or female look. This is one of the things my therapist is trying to help me out with. My head is too big and my neck is to fat. I do look in the mirror a lot hoping a surgeon can fix it all.

Are there things I'd like to improve? Sure. But overall I'm happy with my male look.

You're only drab if you let yourself be.

Wow. And I thought I was the only one. I don't even have a mirror in my bedroom and even avoid mirrors in public places.

If that's a beer gut, you must be buying your suds at a microbrewery ;)

I don't care as much about my appearance when I'm in men's clothes as I do when I'm in women's.

I guess I am ok with my male look, just find it hard to look in the mirror en drab, I guess I more than make up for it when en femme.:D
