BUT......my wife despises lipstick stains on anything and always has.

It hasn't stopped me but I don't do it as often as I used to. Oh, and I make sure to clean the glasses/coffee mugs when I finish. That's another pet peeve of hers.

Actually, I HATE that. Good lipstick should stay in place and NOT come off on your cup or glass.

I agree I only wear long lasting lipstick the more expensive I?ve found is the best. Started with cover girl lip stain then after a minute or so used the gloss over it. Colorstay I believe is the name of it. I don?t
like lipstick that smears or comes off on glasses or clothing.

While it may seem kind of cute, the reality of it is more like what Micki and others said. If it comes off that easily, it can smear and get on clothing or even your wig if the wind hits you wrong. I hated drinking out of anything but a straw until I got a good lipstick and I will not be going back to the old cheap stuff. It is that good. I am using Este Lauder Pure Color Envy Liquid Matte. Although expensive at 29 bucks, it is worth it to me. I do not have to worry about smearing it and looking like a clown.. There is a pretty good YouTube video review that explains other tips about exfoliating your lips before use. Oddly enough, it actually tastes pretty good too.

My 2 cents. Oh, one other thing. You better have some makeup remover to get it off. A napkin will not do it with this stuff.
