Sorry for the cheesy title. But seriously, with everything interesting still shut and limited capacity in cafes and such, I’m feeling that I’m going to become the “at home” dresser again. I would socialise while out, go to plays, music, etc. But now it’s going to be cold and raining (west coast - your winter may vary) and nowhere to go so I’m envisioning doing jigsaws in miniskirts.

What’s your winter plan? (Sorry Southern Hemisphere, we love you but your winters just don’t compare)

It's rained for three days in western Washington. That's a prelude for the next five months. I'm probably going add another five pounds with more COVID cookies. With a lockdown in a DADT marriage the best I'm going to be able to do is sleep in a nightgown. My wife and I have already canceled Halloween for trick or treating.

Angela,
I hope before Xmas we have a working vaccine for Covid 19 . I see very little of my family at the moment and only see the Xmas period as a non-event . I will miss the Xmas parties and having a good bop on the dance floor .

I fear you are right , I'll have to make sure my log store is full and buy some warm , thick tights and find some new art projects to work on .

Love the cooler months, as I can wear my corselette when i am out, without the worry of bra staps showing

A -25 f morning is not unusual where I live. The walking path becomes a snowmobile trail too icy to walk in Sorel boots let alone heels. Winter is not my favorite season or to put it another way, we lock down for six months every year, not for Covid but because of winter. Well, maybe not an actual lockdown but our winters are not fun and are not conducive to crossdressing like we would during warm weather.

Frankly I don't have a plan.
I haven't given up on summer just yet. Today I was dressing and saw it was going to be about 75. In a last gasp of summer I decided to wear a sleeveless black top with my white skort and black sandals. When I came into the living room my wife looks at me and says, "it's almost October". I said, yeah...but it's going to be 75. She just laughed. I'm not ready for sweaters and boots just yet.

Oh there is most assuredly some nice weather left. It had just been a bit cool and damp up at this end of the world so my mind had started to plan for the upcoming fun rationing. Of course, we can always ring up Lydianne for some comic relief! :) Otherwise it might be time to look into appropriate heels for dog sledding and other winter frivolities. I’m actually waiting to see pictures from someone ice skating in a dress...

Winter usually means less tourist traffic on the roads. But, because of covid?

This year in SoCal we've had winter on our hiways since March!:heehee:

Plan is to don my winter clothes. I have a faux fur coat waiting for an outing. Still time to wear summer dresses this week hopefully.

Looks like I will stay around home. No business trips until at least May. No midwinter escape week to Phoenix this year. No Oktoberfests anywhere this year. Concert and theatre seasons mostly cancelled. Bummer!

Winter is gloomy in the Pacific Northwest. La Ni?a weather patterns appear to be getting established. That means a lot more snow than usual. Snow makes travel in remote places like mine difficult. Gloom tends to aggravate my depression. Winter will be a long, tough slog but I will find a way to enjoy life.

I will do my dressing in my storage unit and not so much out and about. I have assembled several new outfits that will do nicely for autumn and winter. Five great new pair of boots. My midi length puffer coat will get some use. I will enjoy this even if I must force myself to do so.

Boots and jeggings or jeans, a below the knee skirt, blazer or jacket and a turtle neck sweater if it ever gets cold enough.

Leggings! Lounging around in leggings and a long t-shirt or sweatshirt. The colors and patterns are endless...I've added 6 pair to my collection in the past few weeks. They are so comfortable...and actually really warm. I love winter days wrapped in comfy leggings😃

(Sorry Southern Hemisphere, we love you but your winters just don?t compare)

I'm one of those who count down the 90 days of summer, waiting for the cooler months to return and I wouldn't mind moving further south so that I could spend more of the year in opaque tights, boots and snuggly jumpers. Enjoy your time northern hemisphere.

I have about 50 pairs of leggings, which I wear around the house throughout the year. Now with the cooler weather coming I can start wearing them for my outdoor running and exercise classes. Can't wait.

Yoga pants season is upon us ladies. So breakout your best yoga pants and fur boots. And enjoy a nice pumpkin drink of your choosing. Lol

I agree. Our winters are actually the best time for dressing. You can add a layer to spice up an outfit without the need to go full bore with heavy coats and the like. On the other hand summer can be tough. With the heat you actually want to wear as little as possible...

I personally welcome cooler months ahead, and eagerly await the first snowfall. We keep getting these blasted warm chinooks and I am frankly tired of the heat.

Cooler weather means being able to dress much comfortably, without feeling overheated.

No plans for the colder months, as it looks like we will still be working from home at least up until april 2021 (hopefully beyond).
