Hello peeps;

Although I've been a member here for ages, I haven't been here in years. I came out as trans and started HRT in 2015. Little did I know the can of worms my transition would open for me. I learned a lot about myself in the process, including all my parents took to their graves.
I've lived most of my life as a male but always had this nagging feeling I should be a woman. Growing up I endured 23 yrs of seizures until age 31 when neurosurgeons did brain surgery to stop them. I was always told those seizures were a result of having spinal meningitis as a toddler - that was only part of the reason. The other part was I learned as a preschooler I was a psych patient for insisting I was a girl. I was subject to a lobotomy and that was what caused my meningitis. I even obtained MRI proof showing the thin bone of my right eye socket has been punctured.
And if that wasn't shocking enough to learn; I've been trans now for 5 years and I learned the reason I insisted I was a girl early on. I was born intersex - I have male and female organs. My female organs never matured since testosterone is the dominant hormone. Now that I've blocked T for years, I started a menstrual cycle. Additionally, I learned as a woman, I am fertile. I would be a bio-dad to my first child and a bio-mom should I have a second child. Wrap your minds around that one.
I post this both to educate, and let the friends I made here know what happened to me.
Peace
S

Staci, we all have a compelling story. But yours is a life lesson for all. If I were a Hollywood producer your story would be in every theater. What better way to bring attention and interest to the plight of an entire class of people than through your story. Hugs to you!

Wow. That's simply incredible. I hope you're coping ok with these discoveries and not mourning a life you may have had?

Thanks for checking in, Staci.
OMG, what a story. It sounds like things have taken a better turn for you.

Stacie,
It's quite a story and I find it sad the way you had to discover the truth . Wrapping your mind round this one does make my head spin . If it's any consolation at least you have age on your side , whatever choice you make at least your body will deal with it even though it has suffered more than most up to now .

I really hope your life improves for you and wish you the very best .

Wow! What a story. If you ever got a chance to change your gender marker, you could change it to both.

I'm not intersex AFAIK, but I have "mosaiced" chromosomes. Most of them are normal male (XY), but about 4% are XXY. Yeah, I know. They didn't tell us about that in biology class.

So correct me if I?m wrong but what your saying here is you have already fathered one child naturally. So that means you had fully formed, developed and functioning male sexual organs. Penis, testicles, prostate...the whole 9 yards.....

And now that you have blocked your testosterone you have developed fully functioning female sexual organs... so that means you have vagina, ovaries, cervix, Fallopian tubes.... all of it and are now experiencing menstrual cycles and are fertile.

So first question would be what happened to your male genitalia.... did it just disappear? Suddenly accend into your abdomen and morph into a vagina and respective parts?

As far as I am aware there has never been a single documented case In history of someone having both complete male and female sexual organs but if I?m wrong I would love someone to prove me wrong. I will check my medical library right now but please if I?m wrong prove it to me....typically extreme cases of intersex involve external genitals just not matching internal but what you are claiming is much much more.

this just sounds like fiction to me but what do i know 🤷*♀️

Pardon me , but yes Megan is correct . Biology person here .

Intersex people may have a mix of both but not a complete set of both . No way with hormones or not will you be able to both father and birth a child . One set will be rudimentary at best and hormones wont be changing it .
No matter what intersex humans will only have one set of reproductive organs that have the gametes to be able to reproduce . IF they are not totally infertile . Menstruation does not always mean fertility ( ask thousands of infertile couples about that ) .

Plus past a certain age you wont have ( female ) fertility with or without hormones - gotta have viable eggs - and bunch of other things going on .

I read a story in the news a few years back, about a man who always felt female. He went to a doctor and was getting an abdominal ultrasound. The ultrasound tech started working and then excused herself to get the doctor. You always know something bad is going to happen when the diagnostic tech goes to get the doctor. It turned out that the man was intersex. Unbeknown to him, he had rudimentary ovaries that were working. I guess you can say that he was "suffering" from Estrogen Poisoning." At least he had a good reason to explain his "feminine problem" to his wife.

So when I?m wrong i will say I?m wrong.... and in this case i was PARTIALLY wrong.

There is a very rare syndrome called Persistent Mullerian Duct Syndrome where a male fetus in development maintains the M?llerian duct and this eventually forms into Fallopian tubes and a uterus. Other than those the male child is fully masculinized 46, XY male. The gonads are testicles, there are no ovaries present and because of that no eggs to facilitate reproduction.

I searched my medical Library available to me and came up with no examples of multiple gonads (testes and ovaries). There is one news article i found that does reference ovaries but without medical authentication this cannot be taken seriously.

All publications also mentioned that while this is a very rare syndrome.... its even more rare that this would be discovered late in adult life as it is usually found in childhood due to issues with testes descending into the scrotem and usually end up with a hernia and that?s when it?s caught. Infertility is also extremely common so the cases that make it to adulthood usually get picked up there....

I learned something new today.

I understand the fishy-ness of my story. But Truth Fears No Questions (the title of the book I'm writing).

To answer all your questions, yes, I do have both complete reproductive systems - I was born in the early 1970's when medical preference was to make intersex children into boys. Yes, I have fathered a child with my male organs. And yes, I have fully functional female organs behind a surgically closed vagina at birth. My body has been expelling my menstrual waste via my bowel movements (slang known as the period s**ts) that even occur for cis women, or so I've learned from cis-friends. The bowel movements spaced every 25-26 days apart are extremely painful with cramps, bloating, and nausea. Additionally, they have a distinct lingering odor that I remembered from living 20 years with two women. I had to collect a sample for testing, and it was confirmed that it's menstrual waste. I'm being referred to a specialist to remove my male appendage, testicles, and re-open my vaginal canal.

As for the lobotomy, attached is my MRI. Notice the circle on the left shows my thin bone of my eye socket is punctured. The date on the MRI is correct, it was done before my brain surgery and never discovered because we weren't looking for it. Again, Truth Fears No Questions.

I love to listen NPR and there's a program called radiolab. There i listen a series called Gonads, in one of this amazing programs the interview an intersection person with some experience similar to you so no strange for me.
Hope you can live a "normal " life.

So I searched an entire medical library and found NO RESULTS of someone EVER having two complete sets of reproductive organs.... And even gave reference to the closest possible syndrome that may be similar to what you claim. But yet you insist you do...whatever

Then you give some completely bat shitcrazy theory that your menstrual waste is expelled thru your bowels..... so for decades you never noticed this and just suddenly found out....

Not to mention that if something like that was indeed attached to your bowel you would have absolutely of had some sort of infection from stool back flowing into this space.... or is it crossing membranes thru osmosis? Diffusion? Is it being facilitated thru active transport? Please elaborate as you are truly a miracle of modern science. I?m sure there are many biologists/doctors wishing to study you.

Go back to dream......there is no place for it in real life.

Staci, it is remotely possible that you have had things explained to you by caretakers and that is what you are relating here to the best of your memory and understanding. Your scan is too dark for me to read to corroborate your claim. (You may want to remove identifying data from the scan such as name and medical record number.) Megan is correct about the route of menstrual flow. There is so much conflict in the information you provide that it would be wise to seek out a more accurate explanation from a medical professional who has your complete medical record and understands the ramifications.

There are members here who are medical professionals, i.e. Gynecologists, professor of medicine. They have also cried foul and informed me that this scenario is not possible as described here.

In addition, it is difficult to believe that you had painful menstruation/defecation every 26 days or so for, let's say 35 years, without seeking medical attention and bloody stools explained.

Functioning ovaries produce female hormones but you had to start injecting them about five years ago. Not much matches up here.

This thread is closed until real documentation of this phenomenon is provided me via pm.
