i have over the last year brought most of my clothing from on line companies, which i find easier, especially if the size is wrong it is easier to return. I was wandering how many of you girls do the same.

Hi joanne, on line clothes shopping is easy and convenient but I
prefer catalogues for my clothes.
However for the really hard to get items on line is ideal.
Wigs, corsetry, shoes, boots, handcuffs ( oops ;) ) don't try kays for them

I buy online all the time. Favorite stores are Macys, Newport News, Zappos and Bare Essentials.

Well just be careful I was ripped off on Ebay by getting one thing and not what I had ordered it was a CD on line store in Ohio. They acted like I didn't know what I ordered, Ebay was no help at all so they get no business from me. So stick to the main stream co. they are willing to help because we are a growing source of reliable customers.
Have found another source for lingeray "[email protected]" Nice stuff but not alot in the online catalog. Iv'e seen this stuff for sale at CD web sights and it's half the price at the Tatiana store on line. Let me know what you think. Joy

Only online for me is ebay. 40 skirt suits from ebay - some awesome, some dissappointments. I don't buy online from anywhere else, as I prefer in person shopping at stores.

I think ebay's viable as long as you hang on to your wallet - edit: purse - . It's very easy for 2 people with ill intent to bid up an item you just can't resist.

I bought a couple of new outfits and shoes online yesterday. Spent more then i wanted to, but there you go. I could go to the stores and buy my things, but all the prettier outfits seem to be online.
For example i bought 2 dresses from Newport News yesterday. There aren't any Newport News stores around here just the usual Kmart, Walmart etc.

Online is great. All the catalogs I receive have websites and you can do this. Ebay has worked out really well for me, but watch for the Spurious Bidders! Am right now up against someone with only 1 purchase in several years who has bid up a pair of Victorian style boots past what I think is reasonable. Who is this mysterious bidder? Could be the SELLER or the sellers' toady boosting the price!!!! :thumbsdn:

I shop online for just about everything except makeup.

Penneys
Nononsense
Amazon
Payless

I've used Ebay for some hard to find outfits, like uniforms.

I shop online for most of my clothes. One Hanes Place, JC Penny's, Newport News. I have used E-Bay a lot and have never had a problem with any seller there.

Most my online shopping was from Fredericks of Hollywood. Good source for larger size 5" stillettos. And of course lace up corsets and some other items. I can't find locally.

Not for us, we like stores. I and the wife like to see what we are buying. But if it works for you, great...BJ

I shop online, but as Teresa said, watch out for mysterious bidders.

Once I made the make the mistake of placing my bid rather high for something cheap. Like a black satin skirt for example, it was worth perhaps $10, but I placed a $30 bid on it.

I come at the last few minutes of the auction and find a user with a feedback of ONE (whose only positive feedback was from the auctioneer himself) raised the price several times before he accidentally outbid me.

Then the seller had the nerve to issue a "Second Chance Auction" for the max bid I placed on it. As you can tell, I decided not to get it, and found a much better skirt from a more honest seller.

I also shop from people with at least 100 feedback (and it has to be at least 95% positive). Right now there's a fantastic blouse I'd like to get, but the user has a feedback of two. Not someone I'd really trust spending $20 on a blouse on.

Personally I would like to shop at stores, but the thrift stores out here kinda suck, and I hate shopping retail for outfits much more expensive than those found online or used.

I have never shopped for femme clothes on line. I prefer to check out the quality and the fabric and try on in a store. I do purchase from cataloges occasionally. I have purchased from VS, Newport News, Lerners, Chadwicks, and Lew Magram with no problem. Personally, I would never touch e-bay for femme clothes.

I buy from online stores, eBay, mail order, discount stores, department stores and at yard sales. If I like it and the price is good, it's mine.

really,,, i've always preferred t' shop th' stores in person,,, 'n still, my friends' consignment shoppe 's my fave,(she knows my style 'n my size 'n will hold things she thinks i'll like),,,,, but, since i started working evenings, 'n stay up all night, i dooo appreciate th' convenience of shopping at my leisure at 3:00am,, and have done most of my shopping online lately, including ebay!!!,,, other most recent puchases from newport news, bedford fair 'n beautytrends,,,,,,,,,,,, BTW,,, Joy, i believe i am familiar with that CD store in ohio, tho' have never puchased there,,, as i live not too far, i inquired 'bout making arraingments t' visit their store some weekend 'n maybe doo a make-over even,(which they advertise),,, their reply was soooo rude, i decided my money would be better spent elsewhere, anywhere elsewhere!!!...

I would just like to add that i still get the thrill of going to the shopping centre and buying some of my clothes, though on line it is easier to buy shoes etc, and i have found their is a larger selection to choose from.

Not so much, I am the kind of person who prefers to try it on first.

I've bought many items online. I've had great success buying full slips thru eBay. The quality of items on eBay is very good, but do your research on the seller before you bid. I've also ordered online from Lerner (dresses and shoes), and I've ordered/received stockings and a Rago 1294 Open Bottom Girdle from Frishman's. All online purchases have been good experiences.
