Anybody need stamps or collect stamps? The USPS has a sheet of 20 Buggs Bunny stamps. He is featured in various characters, two of which have him as a mermaid, and then the other as some sort of Viking Princess.
I remember him crossdressing, but not in these two portrayals.
Just thought I'd share the nostalgia, and probably keep the girly stamps instead of using them.

The Viking Princess was from a later Chuck Jones cartoon "What's Opera Doc?"

Come to think of it, did he ever flirt with any *GG's*?

As a child, I always loved it when Bugs dressed up. My problem was trying to figure out how to react when I saw it. I wanted to smile, giggle and cheer, but I couldn't let anyone else figure out how glad I was to see Bugs dressed. It had been made clear to me how wrong it was for a 'boy' to be one of the girls.

How often Bugs crossdressed and totally fooled Elmer Fudd. Does anyone remember the one where Bugs went into Elmer's peaceful dream and at one point gave Elmer an instant makeover into a stunning starlet, who then had to run from all the wolves at Hollywood and Vine? Part of me thought, "If Elmer Fudd could make that good looking woman, maybe I could, too."

That's cool, thanks for the heads up. I actually think he's crossdressed in three of the stamps. The "barber" has boobs and is wearing a mini dress.

I don't really collect stamps, but I'm going to order some.

Yes, this was a seriously well done "cartoon". From an artistic perspective, there was an incredible amount of creative work.
From unexpected pallet choices, use of angles, light sources and implied shading, it is an impressive masterpiece. And of course the score and tragic ending made this piece hardly a bit of kids fluff.

I've seen some documentary type discussion of this piece. Now I look at those details when I watch anything by Chuck Jones. Like the Grinch. Check it out. Watch it again ignoring the story and look for those details.

Funny how its his "tail" that gives him away not those huge feet. I think he needs a reverse tuck.

I think Bugs could also be transexual. There's a cartoon where he's dancing down the sidewalk. He's singing, " I'm the daughter of Rosie O'Grady." I think some of those 1950's cartoons are brilliant.

They did Bugs up so sexy. Could Chuck Jones have been a closet crossdresser?
Speaking of Chuck Jones, we have attended some amazing performances just outside of DC at Wolf Trap Farm Park.
It's the only national park devoted to the performing arts. The Filene Center (https://www.wolftrap.org/about/venues/filene-center.aspx) is a beautiful semi outdoor theatre.
Anyway, the National Symphony would perform all the music and sound effects for the fabulous Chuck Jones creation Road Runner.
So many memorable performances there and that is at the top of the list.

I agree, Carla. It's makes you wonder if Chuck Jones or somebody else on the production team was a closet crossdresser. They did Bugs up pretty so often. Plus Bugs was adored by the other characters when he was crossdressed.

To this day, it's one of the most positive characterizations of crossdressing in media I've ever seen.

As others have said, I always enjoyed it when he crossdressed.
