Have any of you ladies in here tried short wigs yet? I think im going to order one from Paula Young and see how it goes. The name of the wig im ordering is Color me Gourgous.

Sort to medium (i.e. chin level) is the way to go. Take a look around and you will see more women with hair about this length rather than long (i.e. below shoulder). If you want to blend in then don't go for long flowing styles especially if you're a near-geriatric like me. I think there is a tendency for us trannies to get a long wig so that we can hide behind it.

I always remember the first time I went a Northern Concord meeting in Manchester. The bar was full of lovely ladies all individually unlikely to gain a second glance on the high street. But there was something that didn't seem quite right about the scene. It took me a while to work it out but it eventually struck me that all bar one or two had long hair of varying shades and usually straight or slightly waved. If it had been a bar full of RGs then there would have been a greater variety of lengths and styles.

Facial shape dictates your hair length according to many wig specialists & GG's.
Round full face usually looks better in shorter styles. Oval long face can wear longer length hair styles.

I have two wigs that I wear now. Both have been shown in pics on this forum, and both are longer hair wigs. I have a third, the black wig that has been seen in some messages, but isn't near the quality of the first two and is more of a cheap 'costume' wig. After seeing those pics, is when I decided to invest in a better quality wig.

But yes, I have been thinking about buying a short hair wig, or at least shorter one for a more casual look. I'm will probably still get dark auburn red/brown color, because I think this tends to bring out the color of my eyes, even when they are hiding behind my bifocals. Maybe you can find a good wig shop to give you helpful advice, and even a makeover for the occasion.

Well good luck in your search.
