View Full Version : Are you a MIFL?

I know the term MIAD covers the all inclusive group of us that dress without presenting as female, not just those that specifically wear a dress, but any feminine clothing. After reading more about other members preferences, I get the feeling there are quite a few like myself that really enjoy athletic type leggings, sometimes referred to as yoga pants (not to be confused with tights worn under a skirt or dress). I thought the term MIFL (rhymes with sniffle) would be suitable for Man In Feminine/Female Leggings. When I thought of the term, I realized it also kind of fit with how we feel or wish to be perceived, just swap a couple letters around. So that would make us a MIFL, "for when you really wish you were a MILF, but you're not quite there". (With due respect to all, especially GG's, hope no one is offended by the term)

I'm not sure if u don't understand or I didn't understand your post, Holly?
But, I don't know many dressers, whether trans or CD's, that wish to present as MIAD's. We simply have no choice!

Does that count if you are wearing female Jeans.

Absolutely! Total MIFL. Been wearing them for a year almost exclusively. Feel great, look good, and help with getting the “ma’am’s” when out shopping.

Considering that the term of the MILF acronym derives it?s roots from a porn category and what the letter F suggests no, I am not a MILF. Man in a dress is much more mild of a designation but I try to go beyond the MIAD designation. I am just me, that is how I label myself.

Yeah, I don't like labels either. We get so caught up in trying to define who someone is by a certain label. I'm not a label. I'm me. You can't define me. Even I can't define me, try as I might. I'm just me. Mind you, I'm not complaining about the original post or responses! :)

Labels aren't my thing so I don't care what you call yourself or like to be called.
Leggings ... I love them in cooler weather. They are comfortable and warm and can be a style statement as well. Just please don't call me a MIFL or a MIAD or anything else like that.
Just call me Cheryl

NO I am not a MILF which doesn't have a thing to do with Leggings, which I don't like anyway.
I try to be as passable as possible.

Leggings are my thing. Well, one of many. But no need for the F. MIL is sufficient. We don't use the acronym MIAFD do we?

I don’t think we need specific terms for each favored article of clothing. In my interpretation “MIAD” doesn’t specifically have to be in a dress, but more a general reference for anyone who dresses without the intent to look like a woman.

Oh, was this a serious thread? I thought it was a bit of fun. If serious, I agree with Miki.

I'm not sure we need yet another acronym or term. Just wear what you want and have fun! I do like leggings though!

I don't go out half dressed ever, I just present female all the time.
No stress or worry that way.

Labels eh?!!! We do like to label ourselves :) Me, no, however I present I'm not MIAD or MIFL, I don't recognise male or female, I'm me.

No, definitely not. While I love leggings I'm not a MIFL.

I think we just call the all gender nonconforming now.
