Even if you like to dress in bra and panties once in a while, I think that you are a cd. As the saying goes if it quacks like a duck etc, etc. Best of luck and enjoy what you are doing.

I've seen posts by many others who feel as you do here. I think of them as CD's. We're all a bit daft, if you ask me. :)

Hopefully :). It'd be kinda embarassing to be decked out in these clothes in the presence of anyone in their right mind.

Why gee, no Bev. I can't say I've ever known you to do anything that would qualify you as a "free spirit". LOL

Cheryl, it's not the "degree" of the interest that matters. It's having the interest at all that makes you a CD. So yes, you're a crossdresser. Relax and enjoy.

Over the years on the internet, I've seen a lot of people come onto the forums and ask what others think or say they are. They are looking to other people to define exactly who they are. If we were to say that you are a crossdresser would you accept that? Is that what you want to be? I think you are whatever you say you are whatever you want to be.

After reading these post and thinking this thing through, I am afraid I am going to have to relinquish my membership here at crossdresser.oom. I suddenly remembered that I wouldn't want to be a member of any club that would have someone like me as a member.

A little Groucho Marx there, Jennaie? Actually, I guess it's not the degree of crossdressing, but just the fact that you do no matter what you wear that makes you a cross dresser.

As a matter fact, I'm so glad that someone actually recognized it. Thanks, now I don't feel so old. Grin.

I may just stay a member after all. lol

Which would you rather be, a nut or a crossdresser? Technically, if you put on clothing worn by the other gender, you're crossdressing. And if you get off on wearing women's clothing, you must be a nut. :D But, if you think about it, people get off on all sorts of other things that others may find nutty. The bottom line is that what consenting adults do in their own house isn't our business, unless maybe you're making a bomb or something.

Relax and enjoy yourself without guilt!

Nancy

We're all cds, by definition of the term. As with other interests and fulfillments; everyone explores them to different levels and extents. Not to offend, but your question infers that there is an exact point of "transition", in an already ongoing cd life; at which someone becomes a crossdresser. If there is such a precise moment, it would likely be the first time one voluntarily puts on an item of female clothing. However, it is a good question; as it caused me to think, and any question that motivates thought is worth all the rest.

It pains me to see everyone who is new comes in here and says "I'm a CD am I crazy/insane/stupid/gay.............etc etc"

No your not and be happy that you're experiencing your more creative (dressing) style then the other "normal" males are missing out on.

You're only a nut if you wear a hard outer shell and are high in protein.

I'm guessing you're more likely to be a Crossdresser. --welcome to best BEST place to be for us gyrls.

Yeah Bev That includes you.

As for what my wife says " Anyone that is helping CD's do this is going to Hell with them". Thats just Her take on this. She wants nothing to do with this as She feels this is a Sin. So I guess Bev, I'll see you there from what she says. LOL:) But for myself, I say this is not a Sin.

As for being a CD if you only dress a little. Yeah Bud, you a Crossdresser!
Nice to know ya!

Ahh - the debate of the ages - if i do A am i considered B, if i'm considered B, then i find that there is a C & a D or so to be found in A, but well, back to the being considered B....

Why did i start this reply? Oh yeah, i couldn't pass up a chance to ramble awhile instead of sleeping....

Years ago as a child, i somehow came across some women's clothing, and had the chance to 'take them around the block', shall we say. I knew from that moment that I LIKED IT. As time passed, my enjoyment of women's attire deepened, and I began searching for myself - I realized that not only did I like to wear women's clothes, what I wore, how & when I wore them, and how it made me feel were reflections of my inner self, or parts thereof. Being quite tired of the guilt for engaging in behavior 'unacceptable & deviant in nature', I decided to accept myself as I was, and to continue to pursue & enjoy this thing of mine, without guilt or fear of being 'discovered' or 'categorized' based on my preferences of self-expression & inner reflection, and the peaceful solitude I've found to escape to when I just need to feel good about myself.

Okay, back to the point. If you like it, do it. What you do and why you do it does not need to be judged & classified, so as for all others in society to better prejudge you by. When you do your thing & enjoy it, reflect back on yourself afterward - learn more of what you really enjoy or not especially care for, and make your own destiny. Find your true self. And Enjoy it all along the way. No categories or any of that 'what am i' is necessary. That's not what it's about.

Reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw in traffic: Life is Short - Spoil the Dog.

Ok, enough is enough. Yes, disk space is a resource, a limited one at that, and this reply has consumed more than it's share.

After reading back over the thread before posting my reply, I have to say that Jill's post was exactly the point I was working toward - there are just too many keys on this uhh, keyboard that I use for me to say it in such few words. Great single-graf to-the-point statement, Jill. Very well stated.

I just wanted to point this out quick. You feel it *must* be wrong, not that it *is* wrong. And that's a big difference. I hope you can take some strength from that.

Yes, you are a nut. Umm I mean.. no; I kind of feel the same way. I'd want to kind of dress androgynously; I want to feel like a woman, but I know I'm not really a woman, I'm just a guy that likes to wear stockings, skirts and nailpolish.

But I'm still new at this and I'm not 100% sure if I reall know what I want.

"Ooooh, I want those blue shoes!"
"NO! I want the red ones!"
"Noooo! Blue shoes!"
"RED and that's FINAL!"
"Purple purple purple!!!"
*huddle into a ball on the ground* The colours...

That's a great way of looking at it.

It certainly is Cheryl you are spot on there. I am totally addicted though I need to transform totally with clothes, wig, breastforms, makeup etc so I must be at an advanced stage of addiction to you. :D

Just do whatever makes you happy, as long as you are not breaking the law or hurting anyone it doesn't really matter does it.
