View Full Version : Have you taken or planned a vacation or holiday to be dressed.
Wondering have you taken or thought about a vacation or holiday to spend a few days or even a week dressed . Escaping from work, family or friends .
If so tell us where you went.
Or if just thinking, planning it where would you go?
Since things are opening up somewhat I thought it might be fun to hear about it. What you have done or what do you like to do.

Sure I have thought about it.
Would love to do a road trip
Camping by a lake somewhere
But fear I will never have the courage to step outside of the house
Di, that's a good question.
I agree with Raychel. I would love to dress fully when my wife and i go away in our Autosleeper. Somewhere remote where people do not know us.
However, while she is ok with me in "gender-blurred" mode, a skirt in public would be a bridge too far....

Since being with my current wife, now almost 13 years, I've been out more than I've been in the previous 53 years before us.
Without her I wouldn't care to guess how depressed I might be now.
In 2018 I went to SSC convention in Ft Lauderdale for I think 3 days and 4 nights. I drove from Orlando, leaving in fem and returned in semi male. Spent dinners, several social events, swimming and meetings. There was an entire floor dedicated to meetings and social events including karaoke! Which I LOVE!
Mye wife and I go out to dinner every couple months or so. Her concern is if someone she knows may approach her that would know man side and cause any issues for me. That it would be a problem for me as she has my back.

Yes. My wife suggested we pack up all of our clothes for a trip to Mexico. I was crazy nervous, due to the likihood of being stopped in customs/security, etc. My wife just said, that she?d say it?s all of her stuff?Riiiiiiiiight.
So I went knowing I would have to own it.
The security/customs people had questions about some food (oatmeal) and some other stuff made of silicon. ?What?s this?? In Spanish?.my wife tried to explain?no luck?then they immediately knew what everything was, looked at each other and me, and smiled?.thankfully they were all girls. My wife loved this whole situation, and her enthusiasm actually made me feel better.
Our trip was a about 9 days?after four-five days, I still hadn?t dressed or anything, and the Mrs?was annoyed. ?We can?t pack all of this stuff, hauling it around, only for you not to dress!? So I did a lot the last few days?however, never got up the courage to go out, which is really lame, because I can kinda pass and my wife wanted to put it to the test?she?s 4? shorter than I am?.but whatever, next time.
We?ll see.

Apart from last year due to covid restrictions, I've taken a weeks holiday and spent it completely enfemme for at least the last 10 years. I hire a holiday cottage somewhere in North Wales, usually something isolated and quiet so I can come and go largely unobserved but in more recent times that's become less important to me. I did on one occasion take our touring caravan away and used that as a base but encountered no problems even though you're only metres away from your neighbours.
I'm out and about every day and as my confidence grew I began to do more and more "normal" things. I often ditch the car and travel to other towns by train and or bus. Dining out, cinema, often fills my evening as well as meeting up with others in our community at a social group I tracked down and who welcome me every time I go. Of course there's the mandatory clothes shopping, grabbing a drink and a bit to eat, sometimes in an in-store cafe or I have been known to spot a nice country pub and have lunch there.
What I will say is it's liberating. So don't think about doing, go on, do it.
Word of caution; daily close shaving, doing makeup, taking it off, sorting out things to wear, going out in heels for an entire evening, just keeping up appearances can prove to be tiring work. but is it worth it, you bet. Hopefully later this year Helen will be off once more.

I have gone on three day trips, within my province, without taking a stitch of boy clothes. Will visit friends, shop, see the sights and visit a bar or two. Wine tours are probably one of the most fun things you can do on such a holiday, always had a great time.

I have been pondering 3 day adventure to the Denver area. It is one of my favorite cities. I have done a 1 day trip a few years ago but that was just an appetizer. I am not a party person but I do love to shop.
My wife and I are going to have to work out details. She is fine with my dressing. but doesn't want to be part of it.

They also have my promise that Lana Mae is attending and not Harry! I am walking into the unknown as I have no idea what the various reactions might be! One person said they looked forward to meeting Lana Mae! Another has a trans child! Wish me luck! Hugs Lana Mae

Easy for me. I don't travel anymore. Been there and done it. Travel is fun. I would get to go to various cities where no one knew me. I could go shopping, and try on the latest dresses or suits.

try a resort on the ocean. I stayed in one and the women on vacation next to me asked me about where to shop I told them where the best women's shopping was. One of the women looked over to my balcony and saw I was wearing a sun dress. and had a wine bottle on the table. They came over and we went shopping the next day.
The other fun was a cruz where several women went with us and I became one of the girls.

I've gone to the Keystone Conference, 4 nights, all girl, all the time.
Once, I went with a close CD girl friend, I picked her up at her house and left all my boy clothes there.
She retired just before COVID started and she and her wife moved to Reno, Nevada. Her wife was already accepting. Since she didn't know anyone and no one knew her, she just decided to go full time girl. I'd like to go visit her when it gets a little cooler. I could be a full time girl for a week.

Until covid, I have taken a couple of weeks each year away in full femme mode. For most of the time to our caravan that was located on the Yorkshire coast. Spent most of the time walking my dog on the beaches there, but dined out every evening.
When I lost my little pal, we sold the caravan, so my weeks away were to touristy towns like Chester and York, and I booked into Premier inns.
Now that things are opening up,I'm planning some more trips irate one to the Northumberland coast I think.
Also have a twice yearly weekend meet with my social group, reopening soon.

I've only made one overnight trip away from home that was specifically for my femme self, and that was to a resort/casino where my wife and I met up with another couple who we also met via the crossdressing community on Instagram, and spent a night out. We are considering working some time into our planned holiday trip to my parent's house this year for a bit of girl's time (my parents are aware of, but not entirely open to, my gender identity). We'll see!
Yup!
4 day weekend In beautiful New Hampshire next weekend with the wifey. Although we'll be hiking in the mornings (in boy mode), I'll have afternoons/evenings to stroll the village and be touristy in girl mode.
We both get what we want that way.

Ten years ago my wife and I did a girls only vacation.
We spent 8 days traveling around New England. We visited Acadia Nat'l Park, did some shopping at LLBean in Freeport, Maine. We went sight seeing in Vermont and New Hampshire and saw the Vermont Marble Museum and Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream. We took the ferry across Lake Champlain and visited Ausable Chasm in New York among other things. It was a wonderful trip and very difficult to return home to day to day reality at the time.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but I really recommend the Rainbow Resort in PA. Especially if it is your first time out and dressed. I have done a couple weekends each year for the past few years. I arrive on Friday night for a dinner dressed, and leave Sunday after breakfast. They have a pool, and night club with Karaoke. Plus plenty of other touristy stuff in the area. It is a great place for your first time. CAUTION, however, it can be pretty addictive.

Started with 3 years of the SCC in Atlanta.
Then, 3 years of Rubberdoll World Rendesvous in Minneapolis. (These were only 3 days and nites.)
8 years of DLV in Vegas.
And, 4 years of WildSide in Vegas.
These r all week long Trans get togethers! :hugs:
This year, DLV and WildSide plan to throw a joint event in Vegas the last week in Oct. We r expecting upwards of 300+ T girls and spouses to attend this once in a life time event!

the closest I have come to a vacation has been the road trips between my former home in Texas and family in Minnesota. It usually two me a couple days of driving each way. I have made such trip in girl mode over the past 10 years. Most of the time was in the car, of course, but every few hours I stopped for fuel, each night I checked in to a motel, and enjoyed dinners and breakfasts wherever I stopped.

SuziH,
I'd love to go over all the details of my experience, but, since I have discussed this place many times in previous posts, I don't want to bore anyone with repetition. So, if you google Rainbow Resort, you can get all the technical details. However, my contribution to the discussion is this: The first time I went there was my first time EVER being dressed in public. I had no idea what to expect, but since it was advertised as a CD/TG weekend, I figured if it was going to happen, (being dressed in public), this was the time and place.
I have two very vivid memories of that first night. First was how incredibly normal I was treated. The desk clerks were friendly, and helpful. It felt like I had been there many times before. People actually talked to me without freaking out. In fact, it felt odd feeling so normal. I had to look down a couple of times to make sure I was dressed.
The second memory that helped define my experience the first night was at dinner. I was eating alone, and noticed a number of tables pulled together that accommodated several CD/TG diners. Apparently they noticed me as well. Because, after a few minutes, one of them came to my table and invited me to join them. I finished my meal and joined them for desert. I never ate alone again for the rest of the weekend!
When you go on their web site you will note that there are several CD/TG weekends throughout the year. (If you can make their Halloween Party, go! It is insane. Talk about walking fantasies....) However, Don't feel like you are restricted to the CD/TG weekends. I have gone there on regular weekends and felt just as comfortable even though I was the only CD in the dinning room. Desk and wait staff don't bat an eye. And, the non-CD guests are just as friendly around the pool and patio.
If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask.
The next CD/TG weekend is July 30 to Aug 1
I'll be there if you want to chat some more.

Girls just want to have fun.
Yes , last Halloween was so much fun we are doing it again.
DLV, (Diva Las Vegas) is a vacation for CDs. An annual event that normally takes place in the spring in Vegas. Last year it was rescheduled for Halloween. Than cancel.
My room was already paid, I stayed where I always stay the four Queens which is on the Fremont Street experience. I got some of my friends to meet me there, and we had so much fun.
Well everyone wants to do it again, plus a couple more. My room has been paid for months, I'm going again no matter what, just like last year. In my group of friends I'm the only TG person.
DLV is again on track to be held the week before Halloween, ending on Sunday Halloween night on the Fremont Street experience.
Whether or not they make it this year my friends and I will be there. Having way too much fun.
So here you go, you want a week-long vacation dressed. Ending in the biggest costume party ever. Come join us in Vegas.
The way I see it, it's 3 days of Halloween Friday Saturday and Sunday.
So when you add in the DLV stuff, it's going to be off the chart.
Love Jean

For the last 6 years or so (except 2020 for obvious reasons) I have taken several long weekends each year to go to Duluth , MN and taken nothing but women's clothes. While there, I do the usual tourist stuff, and make sure to eat at some of the most popular restaurants. I have never had any problems. I also spend almost every vacation week from work fully as Elizabeth. In January of 2020 I was starting to plan a week-long trip to Vancouver and Victoria, BC and planning to spend my entire time there as a woman. Had to cancel that trip due to Covid-19.

In our couple it is wifey who went twice to a 3-week trip to have a rest from me and the world. I took the opportunity to dress and was still in the closet at the time.

The best laid plans of mice and men go oft awry, writes Browning, the poet. I have rarely had anything even mildly unpleasant happen because someone disagreed with my femme presentation, but events not related to it, that is another story.
Three years ago, I went to the Los Angeles area for a rest and a little femme time. Due to a brutal experience in drab with the TSA at the airport and a few things from work that were unfinished, I had a heart attack within two hours of arrival. The next three days and eighty thousand dollars before insurance were spent in a cardiac ward going through more tests than a freshman Math professor gives. When I got out of the hospital, I was not interested in galavanting around en femme or in galavanting around much at all. I just rested the remaining two days, mailed my femme luggage to my office to keep my wife and daughter from seeing it, and flew back home.
I went to Portland in September 2019. I had some delightful femme time at an Oktoberfest but I got a red light ticket while in drab. I did the math. It was less expensive to return two months later for a three hour traffic school than to pay the ticket directly. The trip was 600 km on the highways each way and I did it en femme. I also made the best of a bad situation and became a femme tourist for a few extra days, shopping, concerts, restaurants, etc. No, I lack the guts to do traffic school en femme. Ever been in a small auditorium with cops galore and a hundred other people, every one of whom wants to exercise the right to remain silent and get this over with? It is creepy, to put it mildly.
I went to Seattle in February 2020. I dressed in my hotel room, slept in a nightgown, but I did not go out and about. I was too busy with work to take the time to break out the makeup. While attending a convention in male mode, I became among the first to catch COVID. Seattle, you may recall, was its port of entry. And then the TSA confiscated everything I bought at the convention, several new and unusual garden tools. If not for bad luck..., well, you know.
I had a room booked on the Queen Mary for June 2020, but COVID cancelled that. In the past, I have done two cruises with my wife, both to Alaska, both total disasters. Considering my luck and the record of the cruise lines on COVID, I would have to become a lot more stupid than I already am to go anywhere near a cruise ship, drab or femme.
Now that I have used up everyone’s bad luck, the rest of you get out and enjoy a holiday en femme.

I went on a couple trips for work where I was dressed pretty for the flight, shuttle bus, car rental, and hotel check in. I went to breakfast in the hotel dressed up as well. After work, in the evenings, I would change and go out to eat, or the mall. One time, I went ball room (swing) dancing while in a skirt. That was lovely! (I do not present female when I dress up. I wear womens clothes, but no breasts, wigs, or makeup. So, I do not pass as a woman. Everyone knows what is going on. All is well, nonetheless.) A couple women asked ME to dance with them. That was a big honking surprise!

Not really "out and about..." but there is a hotel that I've heard of that offers COMPLETELY private accommodations as in no windows even. I'm contemplating a couple of days there where I could dress 24/7 as I wanted to. Some of the rooms are even suites with private pools. Bikini time??!?

Except for Halloween I stay inside the house.

I usually stay busy doing chores around the house including sorting through all my files. So it is not to hard staying inside for a week.

That is OK, if that is what you need. For some 43 years I had jobs were, what ever office, I was assigned to, had no windows., Why no windows, at first it was working in medical examination rooms, Then I changed to a type of job were the work was classified.
So I like having them around, so when I so desire to look out the window I can.
Interesting enough I have opaque covers on all my windows. It helps control the temperature in my home, and so my nosy neighbors can't look in.

Sarah would love to have a long vacation enfemme, but I have settled for attending Trans events with my wife's approval. These wonderful journeys into my femme self include many outings to Rainbow Mt. for CD weekends (and another short stay on my own), a new experience at Fantasia Fair in 2019 and several long weekends at First Event. My new goal is Keystone in 22. I do travel for a semi-business and while out, I do add extra nights away to indulge in being Sarah for a day or more like at New Hope and meeting friends. The ultimate dream would be spending a real vacation at a country inn where all of the other guest would be Tgirl friends.

Yes, I took a solo trip to Cancun. My drab wardrobe was what I was wearing when I flew and checked in. After that, I was 100% femme for 5 days. I went out to eat. I danced on the stages at the discos. I sunned and swam in the pool in a bikini. I loved every minute of it. I met a lot of fun people at the hotel and the clubs. I even took the young, muscular bouncer at the Corona bar back to my room one night. He'd been after me since the first night.
Wow, I haven't thought about that trip in a long time. Thanks for the memories.

Did a couple of SCCs with a male friend, with stops in NOLA coming and going.
Also some three day trips to a casino with the same friend.

I'm going to Ft Lauderdale in a couple weeks and plan to be dressed the entire time. Staying at an AirBnB and packing string bikini bottoms for the pool and beaches. I've done this 4 other times and just love the freedom of not running into anyone I know and can be openly femme.
I'll wear leggings, women's shorts, skinny jeans and when I'm feeling brave a jean skirt. For tops will wear women's tank tops and cute tshirts and cute sweaters. Will shave my chest smooth and use athletic tape to create a little cleavage with the help of a padded push up bra.
I've made appointments at Aveda Beauty School for pedicure one day and makeup another day. Also have an appointment for a spray tan that i'll wear a 2 piece bikini for sexy femme tan lines. Just love being pampered on my girlie days.

It wasn't the whole trip but I did once need to flew from Austin Texas to New Orleans. I did the whole en fence. Everything from going through security to flying to picking up my rental and finally checking into my hotel. It was a wonderful experience.

I have traveled by air from Boston to Tampa, Denver, and Montreal dressed. Flight, ground transportation, hotel check in with male ID and credit card. No issues whatsoever. I have also traveled inside Mexico by air dressed. No issue with flights. Ground transportation did lead to some rather interesting conversations with drivers. Overall, very exciting and satisfying, with no issues.

I always go skiing when dressed.
All the time I am on holidays.
Summertime I can wear a one piece swimsuit.
It is in the photo section a couple of years ago.

I live in New England. I would love to do a few nights there. How nice it must be to dress 24x7, go out to restaurants, attend the events, work out and walk and shop en-fem

As I do not dress in public I have never felt it of benefit to pay to stay elsewhere to dress and stay inside. Having said that there are a couple of places where I could rent a nice hotel room with a balcony with a view where nobody would see me (mountain or sea views.) That has been an enticing thought for a weekend away.
A couple times my wife was out of town for a few days and I did book the time off to enjoy some Veronica time at home. Stored all the male attire away, hung and put away all my femme wardrobe and just lived normal days without venturing out at all. Aside from using up vacation time it was an affordable and enjoyable way to chill.

We do this very thing several times a year. Just go back from a weekend trip to attend a comedy show. Left dressed, got dressed up for dinner and the show and leggings and a top for the trip home. Still wearing them but it is getting time for a bath and relaxing.

Attending an event like DLV is certainly on my bucket list, although I feel like an ill-equipped mess at this stage, never totally happy with my look or my outfits. So, thus far I haven't taken a vacation specifically for dressing... beyond just packing a few things for a night in the hotel room.

Well the cruse is over. I left Dark AnGGel's apartment dressed and went to the airport and boarded the plane in a dress in Nashville, TN, and stayed in dress until I returned to Dark AnGGel's still dressed en femme. It was was a delightful cruise. even Halloween night I was still in a dress and en femme, I was dressed as Minnie Pearl.

Taking a trip to Fort Lauderdale this winter, possibly. Are there good / friendly places to go en femme?

Here is quick view of me as Minnie Pearl on the cruse ship.

I was tempted to take off another 50 pounds electronically did not. I will do it the hard way.
I did NOT gain any weight on the cruse, stayed at 205. All the walking on shore excursions helped kept the weight in control.
Just ate a late morning meal and the evening meal.
