After what felt like eons (1.5 years actually), my kids have returned to on-campus learning and I finally was able to get some dressing time in. During this whole COVID time period, I had to limit my dressing to a few minutes in our walk in closet since everyone was home. I purchased this dress right before we started staying home and have waited for the chance to enjoy it for a few hours. With my work flexibility, I told my wife Friday's are going to be dress up days while I work from home.

I remember the feeling when the at home kids were back to school and I had the house to myself for a few hours. Cooler day were coming, and it was Geena Time! I miss having time to do laundry when dressed. Enjoy the freedom!

Misty,

Love the dress.

Also have to admit that when I saw the title of your thread, I thought it was going to be about you going back to school dressed for the first time. Maybe some day, right?

Enjoy your Fridays,

Love the dress!

Have had a house guest for about 1.5 years now but that may be changing soon. Looking forward to getting some Jenn time myself. :)

Those are by gone days for me. Kids are gone. Wife is retired. Covid still has all activities that would allow for femme time on the back burner. Glad you have an accepting wife to the extent you can enjoy your alone time. I love the print on the dress.

Great dress!!
Your brief story kind of brings the phrase "being in the closet" true to life!
Is there a lock on that door??! :-)

Nice dress!
Waiting 1 1/2 years is a long time!

My wife said I sorta looked like a school teacher in the outfit.

I like your view point of "being in the closet".

Loving the dress. Here in the UK we have another week until the kids go back to school so I know how hard it is to try and squeeze in the odd hour or two of dressing up.

On the plus side with Autumn / Fall coming up soon it gives us all an excuse to go shopping and make the most of being the only one home again :GD:

I do like that style of dress and you wear it well.
Gosh, it has been a dry spell not to feel femme, such a shame.
Maybe a girly hunting lodge week is in your future when the kids come home for the holidays, spring break, and summer vacation. *giggle*
Cool to see your getting back to normal! Thanks for sharing your picture.

Great dress. Never though about floral patterns until I bought one. Now I love them.

The dress is very pretty. I think all of us in the closet have had a deprived year. Glad (and a little jealous) you get some quality girl time.

Same here. When my wife was working, her clothing was mainly shades of black and grey. I think this had a subliminal influence on me because most of my stuff is black. I finally decided to "get wild" and selected this floral dress. Dark blue isn't a huge departure from black, but the pattern is a start. I'm working on an outfit that has a satin burgundy top with black pants. It's been a bit of a challenge finding women slacks that fit me well. Once I get the outfit together, I'll post photos.

It must feel good to have time to yourself again.

School days are truly the happiest of our lives, and I have only good memories of my school day. I was excited that I bought a new bag, lunchbox, books, and copies. I can still remember how welcomed I felt at school. Now I am joining law college (https://thelawadvisory.com/conservative-law-schools/).

I've been enjoying having the ability to dress more. On days when I need to present in male mode for web meetings, I've been dressing below the waist in skirts and heels.
