I miss going out. Before I got married I use to go out all the time. I would go to mass on Sunday dressed then go grocery shopping for what I needed. I would go to meet ups with some of the gurls here. I would go out to shows, museums, casinos. Tre-Ess meeting. There was always some place or someone have a party. Loved the holidays places to go dressed to 9s. Now I'm lucky if my wife leaves town for a day or 2 so I can dress. I would do gardening dress in a short jean skirt cut the lawn get the mail. I just wanted to be dressed.

Now I live thought all of you who go out. Seeing the places you go wishing I was there with you. Please don't stop going out. It's such a great time.

I love reading your posts.

I also used to go out dressed more before I married. I have not gone out dressed since married and I have never dressed around my wife and currently I am not planning on doing so. Although, she has said I could. Why do you no longer go out dressed?

I stopped going out because my wife doesn't like me dressing up.

Maybe having a little discussion about your needs would help. How much does she know, has she seen you dressed? ...................Debra

Sometimes wives just won?t compromise . Mine is the same . It?s frustrating, I know exactly how you feel.

It's like swimming in the ocean with sharks, you just don't know "when" or "if" ther going to strike. There so unpredictable, when I told her about my dressing it was ok to fully dress around her but she didn't want me to wear pink. I didn't understand that. Years later she came home with pink bra and pantie set. It's almost like they have to control the situation. I know you just read my thread about going out so we are kind of in the same boat and I know how you feel

Glenda, I'm sorry for your situation. When married to my ex-wife I had to hide my dressing for similar reasons. It really does cause a certain amount of depression. The moments when you can dress are bitter sweet.

I feel your angst. I did not go out too many times. But, when I had the itch I was able to fit it in sometimes. My wife was working and I was fully retired. That killed full days to be en femme a la June Cleaver. My wife took seven to ten day out of state trips. That's when I did go out. Since Covid and her full retirement it has been zero opportunities. It's DADT. At least we sleep apart for medical reasons. That allows me to sleep in bra, panty, slip and/or nightgown. Decades ago we had "The Talk" and DADT set in. She did say it was alright with her if I attended a support group. There were none in my area back in the 1980's.

The one good thing about our DADT is it has not waived since the 1980's. I think it would be worse to be married to a wife who flip-flop all the time. Or hunt for hidden clothes, scream and yell. Based on reading this forum for a decade my only recommendation is, if you're going into a second marriage because your first imploded....don't!
