For about 20 years ago I started wearing silky nightgowns to bed, often with corselette and breastforms. This was when I still was married to my ex wife. She was accepting, but didn?t want me to wear too often so I usually wore only one or two nights a week. When we divorced I started wearing every night until I met my SO about 8 years ago. Until I told her about my crossdressing (a few months into our relationship), I obviously couldn?t wear when we slept together. Fortunstely she had no problem with my crossdressing so from that day I have worn nightgown almost every night.
Until we met my SO had not slept in nightgown since she was a kid. After some months lying next to me in my gown, she said she also would like to try. The fabric felt so nice she said. I told her she could try one of mine that I had never used (bought wrong size). Next morning she ordered a new one for herself, actually same model as one of my gowns - just different size.
We now both sleep in nightgowns every night, often
in similar models. Only difference is that I also need a corselette or a bra to keep my breastforms in place. Even in summer I find it difficult to sleep without a nightgown, but in the hottest nights I would not use my breastforms.
Any one else ?addicted? to nightgowns?

I like satin night gowns in the cold weather but go with nothing when the temperature goes up. My wife prefers a tee shirt in the cold weather.

I sleep in a nightie every night. I have 1 satin nightie and several polyester nighties. I like them all. I wear either a bra or lace bralette with my breast forms. My wife isn't a fan; but, she does tolerate it.

I'm in a short nylon gown every night. With the occasional long gown in winter and babydoll in summer. I'm just occasional with wearing sleep bra and forms to bed.

I just bought my first slip nightgown for this past christmas. prior to that i was wearing a couple of gowns that were more like long t-shirts. My wife is tolerating it for now, and i'm ready to add a few more slip or babydolls to my wardrobe as I've been sleeping much better in the slipgown.

My wife doesn't understand, but sort of tolerates, my CD'ing. It's been this way for 44 years. For a couple of years now we have been sleeping in separate rooms. This has allowed me to wear pantys and a chemise or camisole to bed each night. I sometimes wear a bra as well, but no breast forms; I keep them for regular wear, not sleeping. In the hot weather I sleep on top of the sheets and enjoy being under the doona when it's cooler.

You are so lucky. Any ways I have some night gowns too, and 2 full slips that I sleep in, I love the full length night gowns. We sleep seperately as well.

I have tried nightgowns but I usually end up all knotted up so I no longer wear them. My wife has bought me a few women’s sleep pants that I really like. I wear them with panties and a tee shirt.

My wife and I sleep apart for medical reasons. I have thirty nightgowns. I still have my first nightgown my wife and I bought together for me back in 1972. Several years ago when she was clearing out the back of her side of the walk-in closet she tossed the ones that no longer fit her onto the bed and told me to take what ever I wanted. She knew there was only one that would fit me. It was the first one I bought her in 1971, not knowing women's sizes yet. It swam on her. The one she gave me is a midi (on me) white peignoir. Mine from 1972 is a midi pink peignoir. Over the years I bought several more for when I went on the road for a week at a time. With the recent Covid lock downs and my wife retiring I have almost no time other than bedtime to express myself. Now I have thirty nightgowns. I sleep in a bra and panty and a nightgown. Sometimes I add a full slip by Velrose which has a 34 inch natural waist. My wife is a late riser. I'm up by 7:30 AM and end up every morning banging away on this keyboard attired in my night wear under an ankle length fluffy robe. The Pacific Northwest has cool nights, so even during the summer it is cool enough for a nightgown under a light blanket. I have found ebay is a good source for nightgowns, if you're willing to pay the price.

Catinka, I have lots of vanity fair nightgowns. Several other brands as well. Other than underdressing, nightgowns are how I most commonly express myself.

I sleep alone most nights as my wife is DADT. I sleep with bra, forms and panty girdle (to keep the kit in place!) and usually a full slip, occasionally a nightgown.

I've been sleeping in full slips for the longest time. My wife has bought silky nightgowns long and short but I don't know why I just can't get into them. They don't feel the same as a slip

Oh yes I am Catinka! I absolutely love beautiful/romantic/bridal lingerie and have a closet full of it. I wear it to bed almost every night and I have several gorgeous satin nightgowns and bridal negligees that I wear for my boyfriend. Needless to say things are great between us in the bedroom.

My wife is going to be out of town for a week in February. I can't wait to sleep in the nightgowns I have purchased for the week of her absence. In the past I have sleep in pantyhose when she was away.
She doesn't know about by crossdressing. I have made some comments over the years about crossdressing and she is very disgusted about it. I have given her my opinion hoping she would have a different opinion. Her feelings remain the same.
So I only dress when I get the chance.

I find wearing nitegowns to be very uncomfortable. As I get knotted up in them and don't sleep well.
However, I occasionally enjoy wearing a girdle, bra, and forms to bed.
I find the feel to be very distracting. And, if I have a lot of things running thru my mind, I can fall asleep easier thinking about how they feel!:heehee:

Occasionally my spouse's sinuses act up and she sleeps in the chair, giving me the bed to myself. This winter I've taken advantage of the situation and slip on a pair of tights and a slip nightgown. The tights do more for me than the nightgown, but it is still fun.

Addicted? I don't really think so, but I do wear a nightie every night, and well into the morning. That and panties are the only "ok" things to wear - per wife's comfort level.
And - the nighties need to be pretty simple. Not too "girlie" or sexy. that's OK with me. I'm not particularly "girly" or sexy looking to start with, and I look silly if I dress up that way.
The wife? she never wears nighties. It's PJ's for her, all the way.
Funny, but I've tried PJ's and they drive me nuts... no matter the gender they're made for. In the "bad old" (non-dressing) days, I slept wearing only undies.

I just like the sily ones. I have 12 nitegowns. I use the longer ones for winter and the shorter for summer. Every time I go shopping thats the 1st thing I look for. Also My wife doesn't say anything about me wearing nitegowns. Yes I'm addicted to nite gowns, Denise

I am not able to sleep with my wife wearing any female things. I am thinking about asking if i can wear a long nightshirt gown to bed. I am moving slow. I have two nightgowns a vintage long one that goes down to my ankles and then a short chamise that I just bought. My wife goes into work early and most mornings I go to the gym early as well. I don't go to the gym on Friday mornings. So usually after she leaves for work I will slip into one of them and go back to sleep.

Since I have been alone it's been nightgowns every night. Flannel "granny" gowns in the cold weather (it's 8f here right now) nylon gowns in the temperate seasons and cotton lawn when it's hot.

Being single, I sleep in a satin night gown or nightie every night. Sometimes cami and tap panties. I have a cat that likes to sleep under the covers and knead on me, so I have to keep her claws trimmed so she doesn't pick the threads.

If I?m not addicted I?m pretty close. I absolutely love nightgowns, have around 50. Once I see one I like I tend to buy all the colors available except red. I like the silky tricot but have a few cotton styles.
Nothing feels more sexy or feminine than a light pink or lavender nightgown with some lace bits. It?s one of those things that just feels right.
Initially when I told my wife about my CD I left nightgowns out as I took it slow. She was/is fully accepting. So a little later I said I wanted a nightgown when in fact I already had a good amount. ?Wear what you want? I was overwhelmed with relief.
I wear one to bed most nights and when we?re intimate.
Panties got me into CD but nightgowns have kept it exciting. They may be out of fashion with certain groups but there?s seems to plenty of styles popping up.

My wife has been feeling bad and sleeping bad since the pandemic started so I volunteered to sleep downstairs most nights. So I get to wear babydoll nighties almost every night along with a shelf bra, girdle and stockings! It is heavenly. And unlike Sherry, I never get tangled up in them while sleeping. I do remember when I was young having that problem when wearing mothers sheer night gowns. But these baby dolls are silky and form fitting!

In my DADT relationship, it takes a bit of cunning, or stupidity on my part to sleep in a nightgown but I do as often as I can.
I have natural breasts so I also like wearing a bra, satin panties or a shaper under a silk dago-T when when wife sleeps in our queen bed.
She is a early sleeper and early riser so she usually doesn't bother me.
Hugging a pillow help keep my lingerie from being noticed as she would frown on my bra wearing.
The wife often sleeps in a recliner as she has leg shakes and knee issues and that when I wear my Shadowline Nightgown over my lingerie.
It is so nice feeling on my epulated and moisturized skin as the material is so soft and luxuriously feminine.
A little Jennifer Aniston Beachscapes perfume in stregic areas and off I go into pink fog nighty night land for some wonderful beauty sleep!:daydreaming:

I see that several of you sleep in Shadowline nightgowns. We don?t have these in Norway, but after browsing I most definitely will by some. It was a good idea to order for both my SO and me. But shipping from US will probably take too long to receive in time for Valentines day. Either way I think she will be pleased for a new nightgown anyway.

While I really do enjoy sleeping in nightgowns and babydoll PJs, I have to admit that some of them give me problems.
For the most part, babydolls are fine. I like the traditional ones, not the more modern ones with cups and that are split up the middle. While I can see where they are suitable for the bedroom, I'm not sure that includes sleeping. Give me the wide strap and bloomer style like in my avatar any day!
Nightgowns can be more tricky. In general, I like the shorter ones as the long ones tend to not move with me if I toss & turn. Again, I like the wider straps as the thin spaghetti straps tend to end up down my arms since there's nothing "up front" to hold them in place.
I don't want to turn this post into a commercial, but Shadowline does make some really nice sleepwear that fits the bill on several fronts. Many are mid thigh/knee length and have wide straps. The have recently started marketing one pajama top with shorts that makes for a very comfortable babydoll ensemble
https://www.shadowlinelingerie.com/product/sleepwear/pajama-sets/shadowline-twilight-shorty-pj-set
although I'd prefer panties to shorts. Check them out and I don't think you will be disappointed...

I tried a couple of baby dolls, but I found they gave me no support, as they had straps but no band or cup shape.
So I had to wear a bra underneath, and that meant too many shoulder straps.
Now it's just the bra.

Unless I am with other people in the room. Then my nighttime attire does change for that night. I do have some regular pajamas for those occasions

I wouldn't say I'm addicted to nightgowns, but I do wear one every night.
After I came out to my wife she made the comment that if I wanted to wear a nightgown it was fine with her. That was nearly 20 years ago and it's been what I wear every night. I also wear my bra and forms and of course panties (that's all I wear).

I wear cute girl short pajamas 99% of the time. It just feels right to wake up with at least some feeling that I'm female. It has, over the years, stopped the daily 'Oh, another day having to pretend that I'm just an average guy all day long', feeling.

I usually wear pajama set or sleepshirt, I have a nightgown, but not liking it particularly. That reminds, I need to get some more sleepwear, I now actually have only a couple, old ones had to be thrown out, because it became increasingly hard to clean...
In summer for most part I am sleeping naked :) And as for panties, no I don't use panties, I really love feeling of freedom when resting.

I truly love little satin nighties, but they're not practical in the cold winter months. I had one set of women's fleece pajamas which were practical but not very sexy. To fix that I just bought a bunch of pretty fleece tops and bottoms that I can mix-and-match. They are much prettier and much more fun, but now I have to decide what combo to wear every night!

Almost impossible to find a good sleep item. Best I have found is "chemise"with molded cups, but there is only one vendor, rhonda shear. Always looking for others.
Criteria:
-- molded cups. Shelf bra might work if really bra and not just fabric layer. Bra bands do not work.
-- soft fabric material that is not hot. Just looking for softness and tad of warmth
-- length to top of thighs. That eliminates the baby doll as too short.
-- top can be straps to short sleeves, not long sleeves.
Don't care what it's labeled, gown, chemise, night shirt. It's like the impossible dream.

That was the 1st kind of female clothing I ever wore. I used to keep it under my bed in an old radio box beneath a pile of marvel comic books. I had to wait until my three brothers were asleep and then I'd slowly lower myself down to the floor and slip it on. Then I'd get back into bed under the covers. I couldn't sleep without wearing my nighty.

I came to CD'ing later in life and one of the first things I did was start wearing nightgowns. I currently have a short black cotton and a short red satin for summer, a few heavier cotton ones for milder weather and long ones for winter. A few years ago I bought a winter gown and when my wife saw it she immediately went down to the store and bought one for herself. She now makes my winter gowns but doesn't make her own! I wouldn't wear anything else to bed.
