I just saw an ad for a restaurant that said "Come As You Are"!

I'm tempted of course, as I sit here all dolled up, but I don't think I will actually go.

Why not.
Let's go. As long as it's not sushi.

Ummm - I don't think a nightgown, slippers and bathrobe would be appropriate.
(and I'm not ready for a certain other store, since I'm not in curlers - right?)
:heehee:

I've been to lots of restaurants en femme. Nothing to it. At one time I decided I would go to every restaurant en femme in my area that I'd ever been to in male mode. And I did. Lots of fun.

If you were Marty McFly instead of Krisi, I'd call you chicken just to see you do it.

Well when you think of it. It's like your taking them up on there ad. Just testing the limits.

There's always the theory that that is exactly what the restaurant is hoping for.:battingeyelashes:

Why not.
Let's go. As long as it's not sushi.Boo. Sushi's awesome. And so many varieties.

The customer is always right!Wrong, wrong, wrong! Customers are humans and humans can make mistakes. They can also be drunk, chemichally impaired, stupid, confused, ununformed, or - let's not deny it - dishonest.

IME, people who are actually right about something can get that point across without resorting to this ridiculous and lazy generalization.

What kind of food does the place actually serve, Krisi?

The ad I saw was actually on an "old photos" Facebook group. It was from many years ago.

Thinking about it, seventy years or so ago, people usually dressed up a bit to go to a restaurant so "Come as You Are" was an invitation to enter even if you were not "dressed up".

Fast forward to 2022, and the only requirement is "shirt and shoes".

Yeah Krisi, a lot of things have fallen by the wayside when it comes to attire these days :( Another example; air travel. It used to be something people dressed up fairly nice for. No more.

It's also the name of a good book.
