I have always had a thing for secretary dresses and think most women would be ok with that since they wore them at one time, but Have always wanted a puffy square dance dress and puffy petticoats ! I am a city boy so all the women I know wouldn't be caught dead in a puffy petticoat dress so I think They would find it laughable and It would be hard to explain to them.
You guys with supportive S.O.s did she ever roll her eyes when you talked about buying something a little different like a wedding Dress ?

My wife hasn't rolled her eyes or laughed yet, our taste is actually quite similar - with a penchant for business dresses. However shoes are an area of big difference. She has never worn very high heels, I love 'em. She's already surprised at how far I've gone with heels and platforms, and has remarked about how much taller "Kris" is than "I" am. She ain't seen nothin' yet!

Since I don't currently have a dress my petticoat would go with, my petticoat is stored in a gym style bag. I doubt my wife has ever seen it. Should I get a dress to wear it with, I will hang it in my femme closet.

My girlfriend does not like heels at all, so when I told her I wanted to buy a pair she gave me a funny look. She tried to convince me to get something more flat, but I just really wanted to try them.

My wife rolls her eyes at most things I wear. She gives me some loving crap about my style, but I don't venture out of the house. Most of my dresses lean toward the racy side, bodycon, tight, low cut, some on the fetish side of things. Funny thing is I have a couple regular dresses lie a woman might wear to a nicer function, or perhaps church and she doesn't like those either!:lol2:
I just tell her I don't dress for her, I dress for me.
She would like me to dress like Mark Bryan, (markbryan911 on Instagram). He does shirts heel and hose, but from the waist up he generally dresses all male. If you check him out he has gathered quite a following. Many of the pictures on his IG are studio shots so take them with a grain of salt! He got famous for his A line skirts and matching tops and jackets with high heels.

My talented, music video making female friend is always going thru my closets when she visits. Picking out my sexiest, glam, outfits to borrow! :battingeyelashes:
Any other female would freak out looking thru my weird, vast, collection of fem paraphernalia!

I don't think I have anything in my closet that my wife would laugh at. But I do have several things that are definitely not her style. Jennifer is a bit more flamboyant (or perhaps trashy) than she is. So we do sometimes get a laugh about that.
Just realized that this is my 1000th post here. Wow!!!

I dont think that anything would be laughable, but the shear quantity may do it.
Not very many women would have the collection I do, :heehee:

I don't think anything in my closet would make her laugh, however if she really looked at number of cloths in my closet, she would get mad. lolol

Oh yeah. I have a few odd bras. One I call my punishment bra. Women on another forum I frequent say there is no way they would wear that! Lol.

I still have two very sheer, very trashy club wear dresses from when I was younger, thinner, and much more of an exhibitionist. Basically, pre pandemic.
No, i don't think so.
My "look" is fairly moderate.

I think everything? Not because it's unfashionable etc, just because I'm a big guy and I have such lovely female clothes.

LOL ! So do you own any bridesmaids dresses or Ball Gowns ?

My hubby has multiple bridesmaid dresses, ball gowns, and wedding dresses. Several years ago, our local radio station sponsored a bridemaid's ball. We went together and he had difficulty deciding on which bridesmaid dress to wear. The funniest thing was, he won most of the prizes (like the bouquet toss).
There are also some skimpy Halloween costumes. Some may be considered "laughable" but they are all female costumes.

I am so boring! Probably nothing in my closet that would elicit laughter or a gasp, but a couple dresses that are a bit too formal for anything that goes on around here.

I seem to have entirely skipped that part of liking frilly and frothy confections. My wife used to threaten to steal my clothes and and alter them to fit her until we started buying her similar styles in her size. Anything I own that is remotely racy she bought for me.

Both of the GGs (they are around my age) who have seen my wardrobe approved of it. And both commented on how many bras I have (about a dozen or so).
So yeah - probably the number of bras I have.

I don't know if laughable but maybe surprised at some of the sexier more revealing dresses I attempt to look feminine in. Okay , maybe my breastplate would bring some chuckles.

I have a 6 hoop crinoline which is very wide. I imagine most women would find that funny.

Pretty much all of it; most of my girl clothes are from the 'juniors' section of the store (cheerleader uniforms, school uniforms that kind of thing), as I feel kind of stuck at around my mid teens, forever waiting to become a woman. After all, through most of my childhood and adolescence I really believed that it would happen. I prayed and prayed, but of course, there was never an answer coming.

Pretty much all of it, lol. Being 6'4" and all torso, I have to get a bit creative sometimes since a lot of women's tops are too short. I'm a jeans/shorts and fun/creative/interesting top/shirt kind of person regardless of whether they're male, female, or unisex clothing. Etsy is great for finding slightly longer clothes that are fun, interesting, or meaningful.

No. My closet contains the same sort of things any other woman my age would wear.
We, with the exception of the wig, breast forms and padded panties I suppose. ;)

I don't think my wife would laugh or find anything I own humorous. She'd think I was certifiable crazy. What woman in her sane mind would own over 400 full slips or hundreds of panties? Or 162 dresses?

Stephanie47, 400 slips? I think there is a class you can take, but the first step to recovery is admitting your addiction!
Heck, all of us are probably certifiable crazy!

I only have a chemise and a nighty in my closet. My wife would find no humor with either one!

I bought a black shawl a while back, which I thought was kinda sexy. My wife laughed at me and said it made me look like an old lady. I still in the closet.

I forgot to mention...my wife finds my shaping girdle/hip shaper amusing. She suggested I wear it for additional support of a pre-operative hernia while shoveling snow. It worked! When I put it on, she couldn't resist playfully grabbing my buttocks. We both enjoyed and got a laugh out of that.

I have several corsets in my closet and I know that my wife would die before you would catch her wearing such a piece of clothing I'm not sure she would even classify them as clothing

Nothing in my closet would make her or anyone else gawk or roll their eyes. I've always selected my wardrobe with one thing in mind and that was being able to wear it in public and be seen as an average woman.
The only thing with my wife is my occasional reference to a French Maid uniform. Whenever we clean the house I always mention that the Maid's union will be contacting her as I am out of uniform. She finally got tired of the comment and told me "if you want one, buy it yourself".
I'm still shopping. Anyone have any good sources???

My closet has become pretty full of things most women would probably call laughable... about a dozen ballet tutus, several frilly dresses, a cheerleader outfit, 2 French maid outfits, lots of miniskirts, leotards, a couple of skirted bathing suits, not to mention the many babydoll nighties hanging on the hooks on our bedroom door and the two full drawers of panties in every color and style imaginable. As I've said before, just about everything I wear is nothing someone of my age and weight should be wearing but my wife has no problem with any of this and has given me ideas for more things I'd like. Life is good!!

Its not laughable on the rack or most people, but my wife has laughed when she has seen me dressed. I dont blame her. I don't have the body for what I wear. And facial and body hair doesn't help

Is there anything in your closet most women would find Laughable ?
If anything, my closet holds a few things that most GG's probably *don't* own...
- My 3 wigs. The styles are normal/realistic/wearable, as are the shades -- save one. (Even then, just a blend with some *really* bright red in certain lighting, is all.) And honestly? I'd bet a GG would be curious to try them on, herself. :p
- A decent-quality legit corset that's properly seasoned & currently fits me well. And again, as with the wigs? Guessing a GG's curiosity may eventually be piqued. :battingeyelashes:
- Finally, all my leggings. I own *many*... Talking an estimated 300 pairs, no joke. It's absurd, I know, trust me! :roflmao:
Are these things "laughable," per se? They are a bit out of the ordinary, anyway. Perhaps initially viewing them might cause a bit of a nervous chuckle -- you know, before she dives in & starts trying stuff on & "borrowing" them for herself? :heehee:
My kinda GG, anyway.

I don't think I have anything in my closet that most women would laugh it..... Like most everyone here, I do now try to keep up with what women are wearing and I try to stay with the times. LOL Although as y'all know, I do like to experiment with different looks, see what works and what doesn't, (mostly from y'alls and my best GG friend's opinions). However, I am finding that I like dark or black looks better than anything else, especially when I go to the LGBT bar that I've been to three times now. LOL

My wife considers just about everything in my "closet" to be ridiculous. But, that's kind of the point for me. I think if I ever started to dress realistically like a woman, she would start to worry where this was going.

Well, considering how massively they have fallen out of favor with GG's over the last 20 years or so, I'd say the "hand's-down" winner would have to be "pantyhose".

My closet full of "ridiculously out of date" clothing from the 1980s and 1990s (most of it ladies business/office fashions of the era.) As a boy growing up in the 1980s I was totally enamored with this style... and I still am. Some GGs have told me my dated style is a bit ridiculous. Personally... I wear my vintage fashions with pride, I don't care if people think my 1980s style secretary dress, blazer with shoulder pads and glasses with big frames are funny, it is just what I like.

I have a thing for jumpsuits, the more lightweight and smooth the material the happier I am. One or two would definitely cross the line of wearable on any occasion but a Halloween party or maybe a clown convention. That said it's whatever makes you happy and they definitely do that. Third party perception has never been a great worry for me and since I live alone it's not an issue.
