Love of pantyhose

I?m new to this group and this is my first post. I?ve been a CD for most of my life with periods of purging and then starting again. I started wearing my sister?s pantyhose and progressed from there. I love the feel of pantyhose on my legs and walking in them with a nice dress on I love to hear the swishing sound as my legs brush together. I also love holdups but I guess pantyhose are my favorite. Now I have to use control top ones to hold everything in. Any thoughts from others?

Yes, I love hose in general, stockings too. But I generally wear pantyhose, especially when fully dressed. I don't like being clocked and I think stockings would be more noticed and draw unwanted attention. I'd rather blend than stand out as some wanting stares and being closely examined.

You are very far from alone in your love of pantyhose. For me, it's my favorite article of women's clothing. I wear them more than I wear any other femme garment. I'm wearing them now, and have been all day. I started out in pantyhose too, and have never given them up. I know many women don't wear pantyhose as much these days. When I was growing up women always wore pantyhose with skirts or dresses. I guess that stuck with me. I think I've always owned more pantyhose than any girlfriend I've ever had. Only my wife has close to the number of pairs I have.

Once, a long time ago, I decided to see just how much pantyhose I could handle. I wore pantyhose 24 hours a day, including in the shower. The only time I didn't have them on was when I was changing from one pair to another. I made it just shy of a month. I was just changing from one pair to another, and after I got the latest pair off....I just didn't feel like putting a new/clean pair on.

Linda, I don't think stockings would be more noticed than pantyhose, unless the stocking tops are showing. I doubt many GGs today would recognize the garter bumps, especially with a slip over them. I wear longer skirts with stockings, don't think anyone noticed a difference between them and pantyhose. Granted, even pantyhose stand out nowadays.

Oh wow, you sound so much like me. I would wear pantyhose almost daily if I had the option. I love the hug from the inside and the touch from the outside. I also snagged a discarded pair of my sister's pantyhose when I was like 10 (4yrs older sister in my case). Loved it then, and even more now.

Although I don't wear panty hose much at all anymore, years ago I loved them. I tend to agree with many women and my wife - there is not much that is more uncomfortable; but they are definitely sexy. It is said in the literature that men love the tightness; but that same literature often does not talk about the fact that they bring out the female-like side in men strongly as well as being sexually exciting.

I got attached to them, so to speak, in an unusual way. In Junior and Senior High School I would go skiing at least twice each week from November through March and sometimes into April. The Colorado mountains can get very cold in the winter (like -30 degrees F and to keep warm some adults wore panty hose as a skin level layer of warmth. They really help when it is between -20 and 0 degrees. Most of my friends didn't wear them but preferred long underwear and their parents would not allow panty hose for the boys. For me hose were perfect and had less bulk and stretched better allowing me to be more flexible. Besides that it strongly appealed to my girlish side which in the 1950's could not be publicly displayed. Perfect excuse to wear and my parents knew nothing about the real reason I was wearing them. Where there is a will there is a way.

Years ago, L'eggs had a forum on pantyhose. It became dominated almost entirely by crossdressers. So, they took it down.

I think pantyhose would certainly be available for sale, even without crossdressers. We're an important market segment, but not a majority one.

I live in a college town. I see a lot of 18-23 year old women around town. I can tell you that while it's true that most women in this demographic aren't wearing pantyhose when they are dressing other than in daily attire, there is a significant minority that do wear. Drive downtown around the bars on a Thursday or Friday late evening, and you're bound to see at least a few young women wearing pantyhose. Drive on campus during the day, and if it's not very cold or not very hot, chances are you'll see a young woman in pantyhose at some point. So no, pantyhose are not worn all that much anymore, but they most definitely are worn by young women. Tights are worn even more, and that's fairly commonplace in the winter.

I absolutely love them I have always been obsessed with them on my previous partners and then my wife but I never thought it would be me wearing them full time when my wife turned the tables but I couldn't be happier. They feel fabulous and I cannot understand when people say they are uncomfortable to me it is just like a lovely light hug on the legs and if I say so myself make my legs look fantastic but as my wife says I do have very shapely long womanly legs, to me they are my favorite item to wear.

Years ago I belonged to a cross dressing group, TRI-ESS, and we would have meetings just to get together as women. Someone told a story about when he was a scuba diving instructor. He told the participants to bring pantyhose so getting into the wet suits would be easier. Only the women did. At the next class, all the men brought hose. I wonder how many of them continued to wear hose or advanced to other things.

Pantyhose were the first thing I tried on, and loved them immediately. They were my mothers, and my sister did discover I was wearing them under my jeans, but I was able to ditch them before she could prove it. Looking back, I think my parents knew, or at least my mother did. Instead of being supportive or possibly clandestine supportive, she was quite condescending and made me feel like a freak so that is how I felt. I prefer tights, but pantyhose are still wonderful to me. Thigh high stockings are sexy of course, but not comfortable so not something I wear hardly ever. Since my wife passed I am well into depression and my hidden woman is coming out. I suspect it is greatly because I just do not care anymore what anyone thinks.

I don't know. But I think that pantyhose are so big with crossdressers because it was something that is easy to start with. Many women put them in the laundry or hanging in the bathroom. They throw them away where we can acquire them. They are small enough to hide. They feel very different than men's clothes. I don't know WHAT young crossdressers have that compares.

I started out with my mother's OBG and stockings because we did not have pantyhose at that time. Once pantyhose became readily available, I bought some and wear them 95% of the time. I love the feel of a panty, PH, slip and skirt/top or a dress. I wear light support PH most of the time because they feel good from waist to toes. Other times, it is control top PH. I am sure since women are wearing them less often, it is up to us to make sure they keep stocking them. I actually found they recently stopped selling them at the grocery store I frequent. While I have worn pantyhose from time to time, I actually prefer thigh highs. I have some that stay up perfectly well and others that require a garter belt. I do love the feel of sheer nylons regardless of the style. My primary objection to pantyhose is they are rather confining of certain body parts - unless, of course, if one is wearing crotchless pantyhose.

While at home I prefer traditional stocking with my garter girdle or thigh high stockings. It makes it easier to use the bathroom at home. When out of the home I wear pantyhose for modesty. I am strictly a dress wearer, no pants. I do suffer from neuropathy on my legs, so there are sometimes I do wear support grade hosiery, but, not medical grade.

My wife is understanding and accepts I am wired a little different to this harmless behavior.

When I started experimenting with women clothing I was about 10 years old with my mom's leggings, it was such a great experience that enjoyed doing from time to time.
Many years after and when I got married I find myself alone in the house and wore her leggings too until one day I found a pair of Danskin ultra shimmery tights in nude color in a thrift store that I bought for a couple bucks, I hide them in a drawer for a few months until finally was able (and alone) to try them on, OMG!!! after watching and feeling my legs wrapped in shiny Nylon I knew there was no coming back to leggings, I looked for a pair of sky high heels and sexy VS thong on ebay, everything was hide for a few weeks until I was again alone and after a refreshing bath I slipped my legs (unfortunately can't fully shave my legs and others areas because I know my wife will notice immediately, luckily I am not that hairy) in my shiny pantyhose, then I put my VS thong on top of them and for the first time I wore a pair of sexy heels with my nylons... My head explode (and my other one too) I couldn't believe how sexy, how smooth, how extremely hot I feel and looked wearing those little pieces of heaven.
After a few more times I experiment with a VS bra (borrowed from wife drawer and a mini dress too).
I really enjoyed dress all sexy and shiny, I love to take pictures of me, specially my legs and heels, which after a few days I delete because I really know my wife not even in a million years will accept this "fascination" of me wearing sexy little things.
I am a man, no doubt about it, I will never will pass as a woman and I don't want to, I feel attracted to women for sure but when I am all sexy and shiny, wearing garter belt and stocking on top of my pantyhose, I am confused how can I enjoy the look and feeling of wearing all that but still feel attracted to women no men.

I find that the wearing of pantyhose is more about geography. Ladies in the south don't wear them because of the heat. But I been to New York and lots of women wear them there. I live in Virginia but I am a transplant from Michigan. But while in the Navy I travelled far and that is my observation.

I read in a psychology text once that dressing for heterosexual men, especially Panty hose, given as an example, represents "The ultimate penetration"----which makes such feelings understandable.

I think we had a similar beginning as I started with my mom's pantyhose, bra and panties. I love the feeling of pantyhose or stockings and I seem to run in cycles. I will go through a period of time when it is all stockings and garter belts and then like now it is all pantyhose. In fact when I got home today and started to get changed I first took out a pair of stockings and garter belt and then I saw the pantyhose and changed my mind as I have been enjoying wearing them for the last week. I do not know why so many women hate wearing them, I think they feel great.

Pantyhose are fun but I prefer tights for sizing reasons. I don't like the reinforced tops of panty hose but can't find sheer to the waist that will fit this big frame so tights provide more options.

I have loved wearing nude, sheer pantyhose since I was in my early teens, shaving portions of my legs to get that silky effect was always so daring. The best part about pantyhose for me was putting on a silk slip & a skirt over them. The first time I did it I was so blown away, the feel, the look, I was hooked! I have also always loved pantyhose and the sensations both of feeling and sound. You need to try oil slick pantyhose - very elastic, silkier than the real silk hosiery, the elasticity gives a nice compression sensation, and also a nice shine. AliExpress has them for only a few dollars. Many different levels of denier. When you hit 10 posts, you can see pictures of me in them.

CeCe, that might be more of a function of the kind of pantyhose you wore. When I first met my wife, she wore what I called "grandma pantyhose". Not very sheer, no sheen/shine at all, and just...blah. Her reasoning was the pantyhose were soft, and she has sensitive skin. I educated her on pantyhose, and soon had her wearing far better pantyhose that were just as if not more soft and easy on her skin. Some pantyhose just look bad.

I do wear thigh highs also as they?re more comfortable than pantyhose and much cooler in warmer weather. I wear pantyhose frequently because I tend to wear short dresses and don?t want my stocking tops showing when my dress rides up.
