Hi,
I've just found this site and it's been great looking through previous forum posts to see what peoples thoughts are on various aspects of dressing.
My dressing is (was) very much in the closet. I've had a girlfriend or two over the years who have tolerated it, one who ran away upon discovering but generally it's been a lonely "activity".
Yesterday, I came out of the closet and into the men's locker room!
I'm new to the sport of golf and as it's still very exciting, a bit of rain and wind yesterday didn't put me off. When I got back to the clubhouse, I popped into the locker room to dry off and change my clothes. I underdress, quite often to the extent that my underwear drawer has men's and women's knickers and I generally don't put much thought as to which I put on in the morning.
You can guess what happened, I was chatting to a couple of blokes as I was changing, I changed my top and then off came my trousers to be replace with a dry pair. I sort of noticed that the men were kind of looking away once my trousers came off but I just put that down to manners.
When I got home I stripped off for a shower and noticed that I was wearing white lacy full ladies knickers!
The golf club is a small club where everybody knows everybody on a small Scottish Island!
I'm still processing the implications. - There's a bit of me that is horrified, there's a bit that's amused and there's a bit that's quite relieved.
That said, I cant see me on the course ever in a dress, but who knows.
Andy

They must be talking about you down at the pub. Oh well, make the best of it. Who knows, maybe other men on the island will be inspired and follow suit. Hey, maybe they all will and your island will become a crossdressing haven? Yeah, probably not. But good luck with it all.

Of your three implications, I'd focus upon the amusement first, and then the relief as it would appear you now have nothing to hide...always a good way to go no matter what the reaction of others. They may have noticed, but there are no secrets now. Not likely anything will be said to you directly, as it would indicate they were looking at you in your underwear. But if so, you can answer any queries directly. And besides, if they don't like it, they don't have to look!

First of all, welcome to this forum. And, on a more comical note, don't worry about wearing women's knickers here - we are not critical. :heehee:

I am not a golfer but I suspect golfers are not as macho as men in other sports. So, I doubt you have much to worry about. In a Rugby locker room that might be a different matter. I am a gardener which means I am often crawling around on the ground on all fours and that often exposes your underwear. People have noticed and not a single one has said anything although as they pass by they have looked down and if I look up they give me a big, knowing smile. I smile back. But they don't do that if I have on men's underwear.

Think of all the wasted time hanging with men, concerned about their balls while tightly gripping both hands around the shaft.
Optimum goal, in the hole.
You could have been strolling through the golf pro shop all pretty. There's some cute golf outfits.

I hear archery accents your breasts. Maybe give that a try someday.

Thank you, Mermaiden
Somehow there is more chance of hell freezing over than this island becoming a crossdressing haven. It's a very religious Island. Until about ten years ago the minister used to padlock the swings in the playpark in a Saturday night so that the children couldn't play on the sabbath! on one neighbouring island that still happens!

Archery definitely accents your breasts. - I'm an archery coach and chairman of the local club.
In my archery range at home I often wear a well fitting bra (I have significant natural breasts) and a tight t-shirt for that very reason.

Its a blessing to be unaware at that moment?you came out w/o realizing it. So much easier than worrying about it before hand.

Since the cat is out of the bag so to speak I say do not worry. There is nothing you can do about it so just carry on like it is no big deal which of course it isn’t

As someone else said recently, Attitude is everything

Welcome aboard. Nervous Pleasure.I would not say a thing unless you are challenged. You could always use the excuse of dressing in a hurry in the dark and not realising you had your partners knickers on.

Since it's out there, if someone were to ask you if you wear women's knickers, I'd look at them confused and ask "Don't you?"

I don't think you have anything to worry about. Golfers are usually well off or doing reasonably well in their lives.

I'd worry about folks who are angry at the world and looking for someone else to blame for their troubles.
Someone seeking to drown their sorrows in a bar. Those sorts of places.

BTW, I looked it up to translate knickers to American English. Here in New England they would say that you were wearing panties.

Welcome, Nervous. Don't give your exposure another thought. What you need to concentrate on for the next couple of days is how your countrymen are doing in the U.S. Open at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts.

My good trans buddy is a golfer. She's often out on the course in her lady's golf gear. Even has special shoes!:battingeyelashes:

She has a trans and few other guys who care less how she dresses that she plays with!

She tells me she's never had an issue with any of the unknown Vanillas they end up partnering with!:heehee:

Welcome to the forum. I can imagine there will have been some chatter, Smaller communities and all that. No putting the cat back in the bag though. Enjoy your golf. Just part of life's fun.

Or the time I wore a bra into the locker room, thought I was alone when I pulled my shirt off. Turned around and someone was walking by my section of lockers. Ot a word was ever said and to this day I am not sure if he saw anything. My heart rate was aerobic there for awhile.

Hmmmmm....I wonder if she uses the Ladies' tees. I should hope so.

Welcome to the fray! I always wondered what you all wore under your kilts when you were not going commando! You could always use the tried and true excuse I Lost A Bet! Or you sent all your male underwear to Ukraine to support the war effort? Or all the male underwear were dirty or the dog ate them?

I would just act like its the normal thing to wear and I will bet that it will all blow over and no one will care at all!

I feel the only men that don?t like wearing panties are the ones that haven?t tried them on yet.

Same said for men that don't wear skirts or dresses! Or short shorts for that matter!
