Beach Day!

A first for me today: A Day at the Beach. The wife is away for a couple of days, so I planned an outing to the local LGBTQ-friendly beach. I bought a pretty Calvin Klein One-piece that fit perfectly from Goodwill. A big floppy hat, some light make-up and jewelry and I was set. I dressed at home, so the drive and parking lot were all part of the experience. Swimming in just my suit was a truly remarkable experience. I walked down the beach, but pulled on some white linen shorts. Several people engaged me in conversation, just about the usual weather and shelling.
Back to the parking lot and cleaned up to go home. It was HEAVENLY. I have a picture of my toes in the sand, but can't seem to get it to upload.

Oh that sounds like a lovely day. Nice swim suit. I was recently at a beach with my toes polished. Lots of family there but no one said anything to me.

And yes, Doc that is my swimsuit. It was amazing buying the suit. I tried on a few, but this one felt awesome from the very first. Kinda like Harry Potter: the swimsuit chose me!

In Connecticut the water is still warm and the beaches are much less crowded in early September after the kids go to school. It takes a while for the water to warm up and to cool down.

Woo hoo, a day (or hour) at the beach is a wonderful box to check off the bucket list. Years ago, one of the CD members coined “flying pretty” perhaps we should start the swimming pretty club?

I also like your swim suit.
I'm unsure what an LGBTQ beach is - our sand is mostly a light grey/white colour (nothing like our LGBTQ pedestrian crossings)
