View Full Version : Curiosity about how often?

On the site I get a compression of other's experiences and activities. I wonder: How much feminine time to others really get? I'm talking about full out dressing, clothes, make-up, etc.
I'm also thinking in terms of part timers. For a frame of reference: Averaged out, about how many hours in a month do you get to be dressed?
I'll start it rolling. In a decent month for me, I would say 6-8 hours.
Geena, interesting ?, because I dont want to throw it in my wifes face all the time, I spend a few days a month away, so Id say 48 hours a month, but all at once.

"full out?" about twice a year.

I sleep enfemme almost every night, less the makeup. Part of those 8 hours a night are relegated to my breast growth routines. So do not know if any of that counts as fully dressed or not.

For me, most days I will get at least an hour to dress.
Some days not at all. Some days I get all day.
I don't do the makeup deal. But if I find myself with at least an hour. Raychel is around for sure
So I would guess average for a .month would be about 30 hours now
Raychel, would love to see you in makeup, Ill pop round and do it for you , lol

Partially dressed, forms, bra and top, heels, almost everyday for a couple hours. Fully dressed, not so much lately as my dad is staying with us, but maybe six hours a month where before pop showed up it was 36 hours as month!
I might sleep with forms, bra and undies 3 or 4 nights a week, so what ever that is worth!

About 16 hours a month when my wife is definitely out for the day, but due to conflicting work meetings I can't actually utilise them.

Not as much as I would like. 4 hrs a month if that and without makeup.Sometimes full days 6 to 8 hours. But that is a handful of times during the year.

I dress fully, with makeup, about 12 hours per month. That number is ever increasing.

I sleep most nights in bra, forms, knickers and chemise. I usually get a few hours each morning PF, Partially Femme so in bra, forms, skirt and tee.
Evenings I get a couple of hours in a dress or skirt/ blouse sans bra and forms.
Considering I'm somewhere between being in the closet and DADT I feel that's doing OK.
Full on dressing, a full week each year, 24/7.

Well I try to go out fully dressed once a week for about 4 hours. So 16 hours per month fully femme. However I wear leggings, leggings, constantly. And also flats more regularly now. So aside from the 16 h ours I'm not sure how you measure the others.

Left to my own devices, about two days a month fully dressed---makeup etc. It gives me a good "Fix" where I wont feel the urge for a couple of weeks. But a house guest might disrupt that and I might be two months or so without dressing. Meanwhile, I can select good "Still" frames from my videos and build my photo collection.

I am perhaps atypical, as I live alone and try to be out in public on a daily basis. I am fully made up and dressed every weekday after work (and often during work if no video conferences are on the schedule) since I work at home most of the time. On the weekend, it depends on whether I have chores to door company. Normally, I am in girl mode all weekends.

For me , fully dressed up I am probably averaging 2 to 3 times a month for this year although it is a bit slower now. When I do get the opportunity it is for typically 6 hours at a time, but occasionally all day.

It would be hours a day at this point and it's about 8 or so. Unless there's some call for a male activity or we have company that is unaware then I'm dressed.

FULL out (including makeup, etc.)? It's been more years than I'd like to consider.
I wouldn't bother with the whole thing unless I was planning on going out somewhere, and that's been on the "taboo" list since my wife and I got together.
Now - partial - more recent AND more often.
Let's see:
Bra (and forms)- maybe a couple weeks ago for a couple hours.
Dress - about the same, unless you count the maxi that I use as a nightie. Then 4-5 days ago, for 12+ hours.
Wig - hmm. It's been a while now.
Ladies' footwear (sandals) - yesterday, for a few minutes (I use them for runs into the back yard, such as taking the trash out)
panties - always.
Nighties - daily.
Anything else - its been years.
Krisi

Is this a contest? ;)
In general, five days a week I get up and dress as a woman for six hours or more, then I switch from Krisi to Homer for the rest of the day. Sometimes, I have things to do as Homer, so Krisi gets less or even no time. Once in a while, Krisi gets the entire day.
As for "full on", It's Krisi or Homer, there is no "Kromer".

I am mostly a mix and match person. I usually have something that identifies as female-like on most days, all day. It may be a women's T, a pair of flats, panties, etc.
I don't fully dress often at all - maybe a few times a year. It is rare for me to even desire doing the whole thing, but when it does occur it is very strong and I need to go deep into dressing to find comfort.

I can relate to that. I too will have something "on" all the time, even if it is only a piece of jewellery. Other than that, when WFH (3 or 4 days a week) it will be 6 hours a day, so 18-24 hours a week. But for me it has to be "all in" or it doesn't really "count"; i know that is silly. But to feel that I am "being Julia" I need hair and makeup, though i can go without shapewear - particularly in this heat! it isn't that i think women "ought" to dress and present thus, of course, but the sort of woman that Julia is, just *does* want to look as fully put together as possible, subject to her various limitations! So, Krisi, I am with you on that one, all the way.

Generally a lot of time. On average maybe 40 hours per week, because I live alone and work mostly from home, where I almost always am crosdressed. Of course sleeping hours also (I adore Tinker Bell pajamas :) )
About makeup, I'm wearing light or no makeup, but often use perfume and wear bracelet, earrings and necklace.

Being retired with a supportive wife, I?m dressed daily, unless I have to go out, for which I?m underdressed, panties, hose, bra, flats and perfume. A lot depends on how I feel. Most days a touch of makeup, sometimes more. As we know, women?s clothes are so much more comfortable so skirts, tops and dresses are my usual selections. Today, panties, bra, thigh highs, flats, shorter pencil skirt and a tee top, touch of makeup, and earrings.

Geena, 6 to 8 hours could mean 6 to 8 times a month if they were an hour each time. :battingeyelashes:
I don't go by hours, as I'm not limited. I go by number of times per month. At present, 2 to 4 times per month satisfies me!:heehee:
Maybe because I'm free to dress whenever I like, the fear of a missed opportunity never occurs anymore. So, I don't need to dress as often?

It’s interesting how you define it too, as being fully dressed with makeup etc. I have the opportunity but not necessarily the desire to fully do my makeup every day, especially during the summer months. But I do fully dress several times a week.
So I will fully dress with makeup, maybe 15 to 20 times a year. Often that will be full time for 4-5 days while on a vacation or something, along with some evenings out with friends. So I would estimate 156 hours per year, so 3 hours per week.
If you include fully dressing without makeup, then I’m closer to 20 hours per week. I work from home three days a week and dress most of the work day. My wife has no problem with it.
If you include sleeping, I wear a shorty nightie every night so that adds another 56 hours a week.

I sleep most nights in bra, forms, slip or chemise, panties, so that?s about 8 hrs.
Also about 2 or 3 times a week in the evening for 1-2 hrs but only in my ?man cave? ? sadly DADT.
And when I can bra and forms under drab if wife out for an am or pm.
When wife away, hoorah, three hours in mornings and same in the evening.
Don?t do make up.

Be prepared for drastic changes is what I want to tell others. I retired in 2008. My wife was still working full days on a part time basis. She does not drive due to a depth perception issue. Hence, I would drop her at her job and pick her up. That gave me seven hours on any of her work days to be en femme without any possibility of her busting through the door unannounced which seems to be a potential issue on this site. I forego makeup as a waste of time. Otherwise it was dress, heels and hosiery and all the proper undergarments and a wig. It was "June Cleaver" time.
Fast forward to my wife's retirement and Covid. Well, it has been drought time as if I lived in the southwest. The last time I was able to be full en femme and even go out for an evening stroll was New Year's Eve of 2019/2020. What saves me from totally climbing the walls is sleeping apart. Thank the goddesses for bad backs and snoring. I do get to sleep in a nightgown and panty, sometimes, add a bra almost every night. She is a late riser so I will stay in my nightgown until about 9:45 AM.
Darn you, Covid!
Steph, its about time you had a chat with youe wife , Im surprised she doesnt know anyway !! after all these years

I am alone, so I dress every day, unless I am going out. I seldom go out dressed, but I do wear casual, androgynous womens' outfits when I go for my electrology appointments, and wear earrings 24/7. Because I have these outlets, I think, the drive to get super dolled up with makeup and dressy clothes, is greatly reduced. I do wear a wig, even around the house, unless it is hot, but that's because I hate seeing my bald pate every time I pass a mirror.

Fully dressed with forms, makeup and wig, about twice a week for about 5 hours each day. These are my shopping days where I get out and drive to a part of town where I am less likely to be recognized, and do my shopping for 2 to 4 hours depending on what needs to be done. Occasionally, I'll stop somewhere to eat lunch while I'm out. Love the girl time when I can get it.

I go out en femme 4 times per week on average so that's close to 50 hours per month. At home I'm normally at least in a bra, forms & panties at least part of most days.

It use to be once or twice a week. Now, it's once every other month.
Heather76
08-02-2022, 08:47 PM
I've been fully dressed maybe 10 times. But, 8m of those times have been at home with very limited time. Example: My wife left home at 9:30 this morning. I was fully dressed with makeup and wig by 10 a.m. I knew she'd be returning about noon, so I undressed and removed my makeup about 11:30 a.m. That gave Heather 1 1/2 hours of fun. Multiply that by 10 and add in a few more hours when I was dressed twice in the evenings on my trip last month and I'd guess about 25 hours total. If we can count dressed minus a wig and makeup, I'd guess I'm now in the 10 hours/day range whether it's in a dress or a nightie.

I generally take pictures when I dress, so I went back and counted the number of days I have photos. The count for 2022 is 48 days. Most times (but not always) when I dress I go out. Given there are about 30 weeks so far this year, I am averaging about 1.5 times per week, generally for multiple hours.
Still more outfits than times to wear them....

So I am clearly an outlier because I rarely am “fully dressed” if that includes makeup, since I have only experimented with makeup 4 times. Thus, by definition of fully dressed then about 6-7 hours lifetime. I only bought a wig this year, but I get a chance to go to that level maybe two or three times a month, but typically I am only dressed in terms of minutes not hours. For instance maybe just a quick 5-10 minutes once or twice a week. For instance tonight I got to throw the wig and a dress and my heels on, but only for 20 minutes with the bedroom door closed.
I do enjoy reading about everyone’s experiences, though.

Well I wear night gowns, nighties to bed each night with our without nylons. Spend most mornings dressed and four out of five nights a week wearing my outfits. Out and about in public I am in boy mode usually with satin underneath. Still learning makeup so not much time wearing it. I have a new wig I am working on and have worn twice in the past week yet mostly I don't wear them. When I don't have to go out I stay fully dressed minus makeup and wigs. I would say I spend fifty percent of the week dressed and every night.

Work is one place I don't "go out of my way" to look feminine. Yes, that was carefully worded. When people ask, I like to clarify that I'm not a working girl. A woman needs to protect her dignity. Lol

After my dressing yesterday the pink fog has not lifted. Now I feel the need to dress again. Going to have to put on the pink ensemble to clear this fog. Even with the over heating and a broken heel. I loved it.

This is a very interesting question, but the way the question is phrased makes it hard to respond.
I don't dress fully, no wig, no mascara, no jewelry. Just skirt/top or dress with bra and low pumps. In cooler weather add nylons, but not when it's in the 90's like now.
So how often do I dress? It varies as don't bother if
-- engroused in an interesting book,
-- so involved in tv series, that I don't want to take 5 minutes to change,
-- there is a relationship issue, or
-- I'm just tired.
Normally dress for 2 to 3 hrs in the evening, but not every day. I think it is about 5 days a week and about one week a month I take a break from dressing. So I guess about 30 to 40 hours a month. Much nicer than 2 years ago when it was 3 to 4 hours a month.
Maybe someone can summarize the responses in a table. I would expect two peaks: one for those who CD and one for those who CD just short of transitioning.

I am 76 years old in great heath with a full head of natural hair and have been a CD/TV since before puberty.
Of course in my early years, this was all in secrecy..
Now I am living alone (long story) with no family in the area.
So. I dress more of less full time at home with no makeup . I wear bra and panties 24/7 .....sleep in a night gown.
I basically live as woman at home.
Presently, I go out in public as Barbara with full make up about 4 times a week......shopping etc.
I always wear a dress or skirt and blouse/top.
Depending wear I am going, I may or may not wear a COVID mask
A mask is very emboldening however.
Yesterday was a typical day as Barbara in public.
I first went to see a movie .....a 1:30 PM showing of "Mrs Harris Goes to Paris"
After the movie I went grocery shopping at Walmart.

I get about 6 hrs a day 4 to 5 days a week. And at times a bonus day dressed with my wife.
I am getting concerned that my female clothes are becoming my main clothes.
Today I ran 2 separate errands and interacted with the public.

I'm in girl clothes whenever I'm home and alone. The only time I dress as a guy, is when I have to go out, or have some chores to do that might ruin my cute girl clothing. When I'm dressed in male clothing, I look at it as my 'man uniform' which I have to wear in order to do some sort of activity which would necessitate being seen as a typical male in order to get it done with the least amount of difficulty.

08-08-2022, 02:49 PM
I dress up totally as Teresa about once a week for about 24 hours non-stop.
About one weekend each month I spend an entire period from Friday evening through Sunday evening totally dressed. My wife and I almost always go out together for grocery shopping, a Friday or Saturday dinner, or to just run errands.
My wife and I almost always enjoy a one week vacation each year where I remain her "girl friend" 24/7. Our longest vacation as girl friends lasted six weeks.

Depends what else I have planned. If I'm around the house then much of the time I'm dressed. Just to be comfortable. Often little make up. Almost always wear female night cloths. So more hours than I thought I guess.

Hi all. I am dressed at all times except when out of the house even then I am dressed in womens underwear unless visiting a doctor. It is mostly but not always with full makeup and wig but the clothing must be perfect at all times and nylons must be worn even to bed. My male wardrobe is very sparse however I have literally hundreds of items of womens clothing, drawers full of underwear, shelves groaning under the weight of high heel shoes and boots and cupboards packed high with boxes containing a huge variety of wigs in all shades and designs so there is never a shortage of choice, added to which my wife is constantly adding more things

It really depends on a person's situation. I'm single, retired, and have a lot of freedom that other girls here don't have. It also depends on the status of the pink fog. I can go months or years without thinking of dressing. My longest was 13 years, then it rolls in and I can't wait to shave and play dress up. In early 2020 under lockdown, I was almost 24/7 in girl mode. These days, I'm about 20 to 30 hours per month in hybrid mode (no wig or breast forms and not trying to pass. Just a man in cute girls' clothes.) and 10 to 20 as Heather. Some of each in public, some around the house. I find that stress or having an urgent project that I don't want to do will get me dressing.

Steph, its about time you had a chat with youe wife , Im surprised she doesnt know anyway !! after all these years
Debs, she knows. It's her choice. Frankly, if I were to force myself upon her, that would not go well. She would not scream and yell, stomp her feet and so on. There are things one learns about their spouse that are only found out later. To be other than the handsome well toned guy with a military physic would freak her out to past transgressions upon her. Yes, sometimes there is an acknowledgement of my cross dressing in a subtle manner. Last Friday she was cleaning out some of her things and I found half dozen very lacy panties laid on my bed. Definitely, something I did not buy myself or for her a very long time ago. She did something similar when she was donating a ton of lingerie to a charity store; she gave me the ok to take whatever I wanted. I did.
After fifty plus years of marriage I will not disrespect her wishes. In the beginning she told me, if I wanted to, it was alright with her if I joined a support group. I looked; none to be found.
PS: Reading the various answers I'd say I am doing a lot better than many on this forum. I'd say MtF crossdressers are the most oppressed sexual minority there is.

For me.dressing was always a function of two factors, urge and opportunity. Over the past several years, both have waned considerably. I have not put on a woman?s outer garment ( dress, blouse or skirt) for probably two years now and I purged them about a year ago. I have only put on a bra a few times over the past year but will still wear panties sometimes as often as several times a week. My stash is becoming quite small.

Full on makeup and all maybe 12 hours a month. That being said, I'm usually in a dress or girly shorts and bra almost every day. I only wear my 36b when she's home because it's not as noticeable/offensive to her. When she's not home I wear my 38C with forms.

If you count underdressing, then I'm 24/7, but I believe that is not the essence of your question. During the summer, when the kids are basically home full time, I get zero dressing time. While they are in school, I will get a few hours each month to dress, which I am happily looking forward to resuming in the next few weeks. I took a few risks at work and dressed there when I knew no one was going to be in the office. I think those days are coming to an end. In the last two weeks, we had several staff who were normally virtual employees change to flex meaning they plan to come into the office two to three times a week.

I have lived alone all my adult life so I have always enjoyed maximal freedom and my own boudoir.
Lingerie chest , dress rack, wig heads , perfumes etc and, still need a Queen Anne vanity.
Excluding sleeping nightly in long gown & panties, I would say 80 + hours per month are spent en femme in wig, breasts and girdles dolled up.
I don't wear much perfume or make up as it limits mobility whereas if I am en femme w/o it I can be endrab in 120 s should the need arise.
I was a younger child and knew I did not want another boss - the one at work was enough.

Never for me during covid, since I am never alone in the house for very long. I had almost a week planned for March, 2020 when my family had a big trip sheduled without me but obviously that didn't happen. Before COVID it was maybe once a year or less.

Every morning I get 1 to 3 hours dressed however I want. Could be skirts & blouses, dresses, shorts, fishnet, lingerie, whatever. After work, almost every day, I'll be in short shorts, or sometimes a skirt, and a cami til bedtime. But if a condition of my answer includes makeup, then my answer is zero, since I don't do that.

An oft asked question this is (Yoda voice).
As I live alone, then very often and will probably be dressed at some point during the day, every day. On a work from home day, I can theoretically be dressed for 21 out of 24 hours (including night attire), only changing to go out to the gym after finishing work. Work days are obviously more restricted as are weekends when I see friends.
On a recent domestic holiday, I managed to take an entire set of female attire with me (including wig), knowing my two friends were early-to-bed and I'd have a couple of hours to myself some evenings.
Sue
Not often enough.
I would say, recently, about very 3 weeks I get one session of about 4 hours.
A few months ago it was once a week.
Thats a full transformation and sometimes a drive in the car.
