Always wanted to go, It is in my neck of the woods at least.
I have a trip to Florida planned for that time, But if that falls thru, I will do this trip instead.
Raychel , I hope you can as I hear the whole town is accepting.

Di, you are 100% correct that area is very accepting I missed it by a week one year, I was just going to be a tourist.
It is a very fun place.

I haven't signed up yet for this year, but I intend to. I went the past two years and had an absolute ball. Provincetown is Disneyland for adults. As an example of just how welcoming it is, on the first day of the fair a retired police sergeant leads interested newcomers on a guided walking tour of the town including a tour of city hall during business hours.

That is so great to hear!
Oh my gosh a walking tour to welcome, how cool is that.
Hope some from here get to go as it sounds like the whole town is welcoming.

Di, and all others following this thread, I used to live about a 90 minute drive away from P-Town (as it's known) and visited several times during the year. Sadly, I did not get a chance to actually attend this event and now I'm living 1200 miles away. :(
But I did want to say that P-Town is a very welcoming location. As you drive into town you'll see rainbow flags sprouting from many, many homes and businesses. It's not uncommon at all to see CD'ers on the streets. You'll see many same-sex couples walking around holding hands. It's about as open a place as you could ever imagine.
Thanks Jenn A. For the info much appreciated.
Sounds like this would be perfect place for those wanting to go out for the first time.

I see that the date is rapidly approaching for this event. Wondering if anybody here is attending.

My wife and I are going for the second half of the week. It really is a unique experience. Right now we're both trying on wigs and dresses, putting together outfits for the trip. K is wearing rainbow eyeshadow. She is such a hoot!
