I go bowling on Tues nights at 7pm. This last Tues about 6:15 I changed out of the nightgown I was wearing and into male drab. Left for the bowling alley shortly after that. Got home about 10 and walked into the bedroom to change back into my nightgown. Didn't see it on my pillow were I thought I put it. The bra I was wearing with it was there, but no nightgown. Looked on the floor, just in case it had fallen. No nightgown. Checked the living room and bathroom. No nightgown. So I grabbed another one out of the closet and put it on. About 10:30 wondered if maybe my dog had grabbed it and took it outside. Went out the kitchen door into the back yard and sure enough my nightgown was laying on the patio right in front of the dog door. I have absolutely no idea why she did this. I've left nightgowns on the bed before, left the house and returning later to see the nightgown where I left it. This is just strange, and a little funny, so I thought I'd share it.

Nothing so puzzling as a piece of wardrobe not being where you thought it was. I've about panicked when something of mine isn't where I remembered it being. In my case, though, I worry about being discovered at home. Nice thing about a dog -- our dog saw me dressed quite a few times, never dissed me, and always kept my secret!

It's always interesting to hear about the little quirks that can happen in our lives, and it's even more interesting when our furry friends are involved! :heehee:

Dogs are funny. Its hard to say?could have been lonely and wanted something that smelled of you. Or it may have been a trophy. My dog used to pick up one of my shoes and bring it to me when I got home. The gesture meant something to her.

Your title "strange" is definitely the correct one and the perfect one. Personally, I suspect it was an odor thing, but as it is now known that dogs will try to emulate their owners, even with strange sounding barks where they seem to be trying to talk, I would not rule out the possibility that your dog is trying to look like you but can't figure out how to do that. They are amazing animals.

What else will that dog do when you are not around?
