This has happen now enough to warrant some input I think... Just got a new WONDERFUL dress via UPS, but it's completely wrinkled due to the packaging. And, of course, the dress calls for ONLY dry cleaning and is hardly something that one would put under an iron, yet alone through a washer and dryer routine - it's fine crape and has far too many frills to iron anyway. What's a girl to do??? :(

Robyn feel like a real girl and take it to the cleaners but tell them you want the mens rate to clean the dress, women say they pay more because they are women.

PS still the most impressive aviatr going wink wink !

If your iron has a steamer, don't iron it, just steam it thats what they do at the dry clearners. don't put it in the washer you will ruin it. steaming may take some time but it will work

Sorry, Robyn, I know that your question-thread is serious, but I just couldn't resist sharing this little story.

A man goes to Victoria Secret to buy his wife the
most sheer lingerie he can find. The woman behind the
counter goes and gets an outfit.

"This is $200," she says.
"I want one that's more sheer," says he.
"This one is $350."
"I want it even more sheer than that."
"This one is the most sheer that we have. It's $500."
"I'll take it!"

The man goes home to his wife and shows it to her saying,
"Go put this on and come down to model it for me."
His wife goes upstairs, opens the box and
thinks, "This thing is so see-through that the old coot
won't even notice if I'm wearing it or not. I can take
this back for a refund and he won't know the difference."

So his wife comes out wearing nothing at all and
strikes a pose at the top of the stairs.

"So, how do you like it?" she asks.
Her husband then complains, "Darn, you'd think
for $500 they'd iron the dang thing!"

But seriously now, I've had this problem several times, just as recently as a few weeks ago. Got one of thos little steamers that you can get in travel stores, they really work wonders. It takes a little bit of time, but it does work. Another trick I've used is to leave the garment hanging in a steamy bathroom after a shower.
