I did something different with my hair this morning. After washing and a quick dry I added some styling gel and set my hair in curlers. Yes, curlers. I did my makeup and put on a black bra then a frilly white blouse and black skirt. Anyway I work from home and got busy on my laptop. I was so involved in my work that a girlfriend I haven?t spoken to in a few years FaceTimed me. Without thinking about my looks I answered her. She got quite the surprise and I almost fell off my chair. She knew I was nervous and said, hi beautiful. We talked for a while about my crossdressing and she was very accepting of it. We actually made plans for lunch next week. She told me to join her as Shannon. I?ll keep everyone posted as to how it goes.

Now, for the tough part... what'd ya gonna wear? Getting ready should be as much fun as your getting together with your female friend.

I've never had *quite* that experience, but I have from time to time forgotten I'm wearing something femme. Thankfully, I haven't put myself in a position to get discovered that way. I bet you initially had a heart attack :)

Interesting. Just goes to show how much more accepting people are these days of our "weirdness," as it perhaps would have been referred to not so very long ago. But someone else might have freaked out. You don't always know. But the more we are seen the more it will be normalized.

Lucky girl sounds like fun lunch outing coming up. Like Natalie said I always kept a couple layers of tape over the camera on my work computer. I was nearly caught all dolled up on business trip once when my wife called as I grabbed the phone I noticed it was a FaceTime call wow did that my my heart rate increase!

Aside from the fact at my age (78) I don't care to learn too much of the new technology, this is another reason I don't deal with facetime or Zoon. Glad it went well for you. I don't feel as though I'd be that lucky.
