Old photos of you...

Hey girls.
I have a question for y'all. I guess it is aimed at those of you who are now living full-time en femme, or who have transitioned 100%.

I have started listening to various podcasts, and one discussed an idea that I had never encountered before.
They were discussing the reality of there being old photos of you from before your transition, in yearbooks, family portraits, kid pics on parents' fridge. They described a project that could be done where you recreate old photos...dress up as you did in the pic... visit the places you visited...but you wear your femme clothing - find prom dresses, use tin foil to imitate braces, find frilly bathing suits, as opposed to thr male clothing in the original.

The concept of this kind of project is completely new to me...I get simultaneously opinions bubbling up. It could be a way to finish the breakaway from the old identity, but it also could be a way to bury embarrassment or shame...

Heh heh...I dunno.
To what I could gather, those who chose to do this were truly bothered by the photographic proof of their dead-names / old identities. Dysphoria + dysmorphia sort of thing.
<shrug>
Hence my bringing the question.
