Tonight I went to a support group which used to meet in Llandudno but now meets in Prestatyn. It was this group back when it met in Llandudno that I first sat down and talked to some who was of our community. That was probably 8-10 years ago.
So when i sat down tonight who was there, Rachel, the girl I first sat next to. It was nice to have a catch-up as well as introduce myself to a few new faces. Rachel is now full time and living the life she wanted.
The group isn't large but it still serves it's purpose reflecting a diverse community. One thing I found out is there are now other groups, offshoots if you like, that serve areas not previous covered.
Also there were two representatives from the local police to take on board any issues effecting the local LGBTQ community.
The weather was foul tonight and I nearly didn't go but now I'm glad I did.
