I've read countless posts here where a T girl goes on and on describing what she was wearing. Often down to the tiniest detail; underwear, jewelry, etc!:battingeyelashes:

Is it because u don't take photos of yourself? In which case u must either dress so often it's no big deal? Then, why the long, detailed description? U sound proud of your look.

I used to try to imagine the; "Pink blouse, with black skirt, nylons, blond wig, etc, etc".:daydreaming:
But, not knowing what the person looked like I'm frustrated rite off the bat! Who should I start dressing in my mind? Marilyn, Bet Middler, Brad Pit, the Rock, Johnny Dep? And, just the color of the clothes is pointless without the style, length, fit, etc.

So why is it u go on and on describing what u wore when we have no clue what u looked like? When u could post one pic in your outfit and save 1000 words?

Unless u have no photos of yourself or don't know how to post them here? Maybe you're shy or simply unhappy with your photos?

Or, maybe I'm the only one that goes blank trying to imagine what someone looks like?
Can anyone enlighten me?:)

I have the same thoughts whenever I see threads about how somebody has gone out, spent the day exploring somewhere dressed, been seen by hundreds or thousands of people, then don't post a picture on here.

I figure it's just being nervous about the exposure. Once something is on the internet, that's it. You've lost control of it.

People have as many reasons not to post a picture of themselves. It is up to them, and not pressure from others, whether or not they post pictures.
If members actually ask for pictures of others, saying things like, it didn't happen if there aren't pictures, the post will be deleted.
Just because some people are camera hogs, and like posting pictures of themselves all over whenever they have the opportunity, doesn't mean everyone wants their picture out there.
If this thread becomes a parade of posts calling out others because they don't post pictures, this thread will be deleted.

Doc happy Thanksgiving, percentage of closted vs non is what 50/50 bere? The closeted is obviously has a right to privacy and or very very concerned not to be outed etc etc. I have learned that a picture is worth a thousand words as you mentioned but also assigned a GPS signature. Any good IT specialist can get track the jpeg here. Their are smarter people here that can explain it here than I.

mbeen12 - Location data can be found within the EXIF data if taken with a GPS enabled camera like a phone.

For those who occasionally post pictures and venture out, sometimes you just get caught up in the moment of where you are and forget to ask someone to photograph you. Has happened to me many times & I kick myself afterwards the next day.
My West Virginia girlfriend recently, on my week long trip, had me photograph her on every outfit change, and that was 2 or 3 times a day, Lol. I understood why though, she has some great outfits.
Bartenders & wait staff have always accommodated my request though and are a good choice to help you get a picture when by yourself, especially when you tip them well.

I have posted pictures from time to time, but in general I am not satisfied with my look so I don't post the pictures I take.

The right to privacy should not be violated. Describing something is an art form and although not everybody is a novelist that can create descriptions that allow the reader to create vivid images, descriptions allow for more freedom of both the reader and the author. Not everything needs to be literal or public. Everybody is different and it is best it be kept that way. You want to post pictures then that is fine but if not then that is fine as well. It is important to respect and celebrate each person's individuality and values.

People post pictures only if they want to. Many would prefer not to. No reason to continue this discussion.
