As timely follow on Sandi's thread about strangers & CDing, I decided to go out Saturday night to a nightclub as a special treat for myself. I didn't get to properly celebrate my birthday earlier this month, so I thought what better way to do it, and it turned out awesomely.
On Friday, I picked up my burgundy corduroy skirt which need a new zipper from my local seamstress. Paired it with a cute white long sleeve top, and heels, and was ready to go.
Arrived at the club around 9:30, thinking I would just sit at the bar, listen to the band, (which was pretty good) have a few drinks, then some coffee before heading back home. I was there for less than 10 or 20 minutes, asked to dance while I was waiting for my drink but declined saying I needed one drink before getting to the dance floor. A minute after, a cute blonde girl came over and asked me I would like to join her & her girlfriend. I of course told her that would be wonderful.
They were both so nice. We talked about the music, our outfits, and where we all lived amongst other things. Turns out one of them lives about 4 or 5 miles from me. When the band played the right songs, we all danced and had so much fun doing it. I showed them a few of my evening gown pictures for my recent trip, they loved it and were very complimentary. I bought them both a drink, and we shared a big order of fries later as a snack. They also helped me with my lipstick, and gave me some tips with it.
Was just a great unexpected night, and now I have two new friends..
I took the picture of my outfit after I got back home very late, so I might look a little worse for wear. Lol Also wore a burgundy cardigan sweater as I knew it would be chilly when I came back home.
