Heehee, I hope she believed you!

The best thing is those little nail-shaped stickies that they sell next to the fake nails. Sometimes they even come with a set of nails. They sometimes stigk to your real nail afterwards, but they're pretty easy to peel off.

Hi Anita,

The best way is to soak in acetone which is nail polish remover. Don't use the non-acetone type. Get an orange stick (don't ask me why they call them that but they're in the nail care section) and gentlely work the flat end of the stick under the nails starting from the sides and base of the nail. Not coming free of the nail, resoak in the acetone. Plan on the procedure taking you one to two hours to do properly. So be patient and you won't damage your nails. Okay, sister? Good luck!

Oopsy, you asked how to 'get them on' not 'get them off'. Jesus! I need to read more carefully :p Anyhow, for this, I'd go with Wen4cd's advice:)

I'm a bit curious about trying falsies (nails!!), but I'm curious about how long they last. Is one brand better than the other? Can you polish them different colors without damaging them?
Huh?

Do they stay on in a cat fight, forgive me I just had to ask.
Love Georgette :)

Be who you want to be not what others think you should be

I just wish (or used to) the One Steps came in just the plain colored versions - most of what they offer now have wild designs on them, but their basic French nails aren't too bad. I have a few of these myself, and they do work great!

Here I go again sounding like a commercial.

Kiss 1 Easy Step. There I said it, again. These nails are a godsend to TGs! You take them out of the box, find the size for each nail and press them on, no sticly tabs, no glue! And best of all - THEY STAY ON! When you want to remove them you put hour hands in warm water and peel them off. Your nails are undamaged and you're back to guy nails (UGH!)

One drawback is they are only good for one or two wearings. I buy the $3.99 version so it's not too bad to add that to an outing.

These say 3 days and I believe it. I get the white ones and polish them the same color as my toenails.

I just sent an e-mail to the company and told them they should consider catering to the TG crowd by making larger sizes. :D

I would imagine that a significant percent of the business for stick on nails are tg people. I just bought a set and they are nice, but just a bit too small.
If they came out with a larger size they could virtually corner our market. They should advertise on some tg sites.

My nails are on the large size, also, but the thumb nail is impossible. What I have been doing, is to use the false nails on my fingers and then polishing my natural thumb nail. I file it off flat and just a bit rounded on the sides. It looks better that way than to have a fake nail that doesn't fit.

I will have to try those Kiss nails... sound wonderful!
