Yesterday I was just relaxing on a couch and all of a sudden I started daydreaming.

Our company announced Christmas party and that it'll be a costume party and one colleague of mine suggested, that four of us could go as women.
I was hesitant outside, but screaming "YES!!!" inside. At the end we agreed and I decided to shine. And shine I did.

That day I took a half day off and went to manicure and then to a stylist to get a professional make-up and also some haircut for my wig. I bought black short cocktail dress with long sleeves, got my black pumps and matching mini-bag, ring earrings not requiring piercing, put on white winter coat and of there go. And as a "costume of a costume", I had a small cat ears head band.
At the entrance to the restaurant when I wanted to enter another colleague stopped me with "Miss, this is closed society today" and then he totally freaked out with laughter, when I replied him in male voice, that he's to me like he doesn't know me. I was also able to use my female-ish voice, so in combination with the make-up nobody recognised me immediately until I spoke or laughed or something.

Then one female colleague said, that her girl friends are in some bar having party and that she wants to take me there. I was reluctant, because it was late in night and my feet were killing me in the heels, but I agreed. All the girls there accepted me and treated me like one of theirs.

I was star of the night and it felt amazing.

Marketa, Interesting daydream. When I dream, my work mates are the last group I'm dreaming about dressing in front of.

Ooop. I got sucked into your post not quite registering that it was a daydream.
What a fantasy that you could live if you have the nerve.
Give it a try, you will probably love it.

Go for it if they have a party. I did at a friend's years ago and it was more incredible than I thought it would be.

My daydream is more mundane. We just attended a family party for a relative's child. She is now 1. I just wished I could have been there spending time with all the ladies. Talking about the kids, decorating the house, all the pretty clothes received as birthday presents and all that. Instead I was with the men talking politics, cars, religion, home renovations. So drab, so boring. Maybe someday ...

Thanks, Phillipa. And to be frank...yeah, I do have the nerve, once I learn how to do make up and after the daydream I was thinking about it and decided, that if I learn the make-up thing, I'll go to opera.

But I highly doubt our company will make such a costume party. But if they do, oh girl, I'll be ready.
