If you were on the London Underground on 3 June, 2024 and got off at the Embankment stop, I saw you and thought you looked confident and strong.
(I was the amazingly handsome guy with his family.)

(I saw someone who looked like they were wearing a wig. As I looked, I decided that they might be a trans woman. It looked like she was with a GG. They were together. When they got off the train, no one said or did anything differently than when anyone else got off the train. :) I had noticed that I hadn't seen anyone in the UK who was gender variant on our whole vacation until I saw this woman tonight.)

Early one summer evening I was on the train platform. It was a mixed crowd. People still coming home from work and people going out for the evening in the city. This one girl had a short skirt on. It stood out amongst the crowd. While I waited for the train I realized just how much attention she got for the short skirt. It was short, but it was Still hiding some secrets.
My point is how much attention she got just because of the skirt. Think about that next time you go out in a short skirt. Or anytime you're not blending it in for that matter. You're giving people more reason to "check you out." It will be normal to get extra looks in your direction. Don't be standing there all concerned, they know you are trans or a cross dresser, or whatever. They're looking because the obvious reason, you're showing a lot of leg and maybe the other stuff too. it's both, so don't get caught up in your mind.

We should have some secret-society way of acknowledging each other!

...but seriously, I'd love to have that confidence. I think that a day out in London would be a great first time, there's so much representation of every type of person that I don't think that being dressed would feel entirely out of place.

Now had that been early April, and around the Covent Garden area, iy might well have been me. As Helen says, hiding in plain site. And it's not just in London. I venture out in Leeds at least once every week, sometimes more. But not dressed so as to stand out from the crowd..
Oh and if I did/do see another "gender variant" person, I would not approach or acknowledge them, unless it was someone that I know personally.

There is a secret sign used by CDers for a long time now to recognize each other. Since it is secret, I don't think I am allowed to tell you. Ok, maybe I can make an exception given the audience here. The secret sign is

Or how about a secret pink decoder ring that blinks when it gets close to another secret decoder ring? The technology is there for sure! But then everyone should have to wear pink outfits to make sure they coordinate with their ring! Lol
