View Full Version : Ever Relate Your Crossdressing To Something Not Crossdressing Based?

Last year I have been introduced by my partner to an influencer on Youtube that builds and customizes cars. I am not all that knowledgeable about car building and rarely would be interested in watching someone work on them. However, for some reason I have been watching daily. I could not put my finger on why I do so until I seen this video from his partner.

I find that Jolene?s perspective on Bad Chad’s way of enjoying the builds of his cars so similar to what could be said about me and my crossdressing! His mindset on building his cars is a mirror image of the approach I take on my crossdressing.

Those that have read and followed some of my threads (especially in the photo section), could you see the relation of his car building and my crossdressing as well?

Have you ever experienced this kind of relation, if so what?

I can see how this is relflected in the way you approach crossdressing. Clearly, for you, there is a creative element involved. The enjoyment, perhaps, comes from discovering, envisioning and assembling the elements required to achieve a lovely and often a novel outcome. Or in other words, finding motivation and satisfaction in the process.

I am not particularly creative. My thought process and the choices and even the appearance I hope to achieve could fairly be described as boring and conventional.

I am a fan of "Bad Chad" too. ;) Nothing to do with CD, but he gives me CONFIDENCE to try things like welding and actually cutting up perfectly good things for creative purposes, that I previously would have NEVER dared to do before. As to CD, I am always looking for "different angles", so to speak. My "changing appearances", impersonations, Vintage and Goth forays are examples. As I do NOT go out, I do not have to worry about trying to "look normal". I am always looking for some new makeup idea or dressing format that I can photograph or have fun with.

I think I agree it may be the passion and creative outlet aspects of cross dressing that links it to other activities like car customization (or model building in my case)

Been a car/truck enthusiast all my life. I now work full time for American Muscle, American Trucks, Extreme Terrain, and Ecklers.

Not car building or customization specifically, but the number of CDers I have met in person or online that are also involved in some creative occupation - music, theater, fine arts etc. has been impressive. Gotta be a connection!

See how I relate is that I do not cower away chasing my dreams, taking risks, or getting uncomfortable and do not let others (especially those who do not care about me) persuade what, where or how I want to crossdress. I do what makes me happy, no matter if I look like a fool in other’s eyes. My crossdressing could be deemed to be authentic and for sure selfish. I am willing to step out of the box to satisfy my crossdressing aspirations whereas many fear to do so. I just cannot keep the passion within myself.

I not only am creative but I teach creativity at the college level using electricity and electronics. Doing it right requires a lot of knowledge. It feels sometimes like I read half the library to learn enough to create something useful. In that regard, I regularly read several fashion blogs that focus on the Over Age 50 clientele. That way, my CD creations have an element of usefulness that my electrical creations usually have.
