Whilst out shopping today, I called into the optician's to get a small repair done to my glasses and got talking to another lady in the shop. She started to admire my hair and told me I could do with braiding it. I explained that is something, for some reason, I have always made a 'pig's ear' of doing. Before I knew it, she asked me if I would like it doing, told me to sit down and proceeded to do the most gorgeous braid for me. It felt and looked so cute.
When I told her I was trans, she said her daughter was also trans, but had sadly lost her life at the hands of bigoted family member a few years ago. She said she had so much love and respect for both the trans and crossdressing communities and how sad it was that we are so put down by people who don't know and don't want to know any better.
I came away with a tear in my eye. It was amazing and what a very kind lady. This lady is proof that there are a great many out there that do support us.
