Well today was most definitely something different . I have my birthday coming up next Wednesday on the 24th. No biggie except for the fact that I realized my driver?s license expires on my birthday so dressed put a bit of makeup on
Mascara eye liner and lipstick for the final finish. Went in wearing coral color slacks and a black blouse some jewelry and my hair brushed well. I had planed to pull my hair into a ponytail but forgot a tieback so just left it hanging loose. That was a slight problem as the clerk said we need you to pull your hair back enough so my eyebrows were uncovered and this isn?t allowed for your license photo . I hadn?t been out of the shower that long so it was a bit fly away After trying three different times all was finally ok. Only thing is the name I had to use my male name for legally binding so to speak . This is the first time I?ve had my picture taken other than selfies or friends taking pictures. I was actually very pleased with the photo plus being In color as well. Bright red lipstick really enhanced my Id photo. Has anyone else done this it?s definitely new for me.

Susan, That's great. What was the reaction of the DMV worker?

Susan,

It certainly sounds like you were treated with the utmost respect by the DMV worker. Here in the UK it's a bit different. Most of those sorts of things are now done online. It made me wonder what would happen if I submitted an obviously femme photo while renewing my driving licence in my drab name.

That is something I have thought about for my license and passport. Given my first name is actually Kim, only my gender marker would be discordant.

Congratulations I did the same thing in Fla. 4 years ago with my DL.

This sounds like something every day trans should do. But, CD's like myself r way more likely to be pulled over in drab.

And, I don't think the officer would be amused to see me all made up in my license. I'm barely recognizable when dressed anyway!:heehee:

Absolutely total respect commented on my nails and color she liked them. Mine at the moment are light pink gel with French tips.

I'm curious, does your new license with the pretty face say M or F?

Definitely still marked with the M

Mine is marked with a M as well, but my pick is girly. The woman at the dmv took it twice she said the first on was terrible.

I've been told (but I haven't confirmed) that here in FL if you ask them to change your sex on your license they will with no questions asked. Of course if that's true then what's the point of having it on there in the first place?
