First compliment

Took the opportunity and made the move to spend a day fully dressed and out today. Skirt over tights, blouse, flats, wig and makeup, forms, shapewear etc? Went to church for the first time like this - progressive city church so no issue. Shopped at dept store nearby, tried on some things (all gender fitting rooms), and purchased a couple bras. Went to Savers and got a dress. Stopped at Beauty supply store for a couple items.
But the big thing was I also went to a Target and while waiting for the family restroom a young women walked by and made a point of stopping and commenting to me ?I like your shirt?. This has never happened to me before so quite a nice feeling!
Just thought I would pass this on to others that are on the fringe of being confident enough to go as I am, and my wish is that this can happen to you also.

I don’t go out often, or often enough and I certainly don’t pass unless you are 38,000 feet above and flying fast. But, I bet every time I go out, I get some sort of compliment. I like that top, that is a great color on you. Where did you get that? Enjoy it and pay it forward. It’s so nice to just be pleasant out in the world.

Women appreciate complements from guys also Just be sure to be sincere, and make it about what they're wearing or about their makeup, not about body parts.

I've done it many times in male mode and always get a smile and a thank you. Once, I even got, "That really makes my day. No, it makes my week." I've even done it en femme. One Halloween I was out with the "girls" and there were a bunch of GG flight attendants in the lobby "in uniform". I walked up to the group and said, "I really like your outfits." That brought out a bunch of friendly chuckles.

Thank you all for the affirmative replies. I was able to follow up a couple days later by walking out of my building fully dressed for the first time ever - as opposed to sneaking out in the car from my garage. Went for about an hours walk on a couple errands. Got some double takes from people of course as I’m 6 feet but nothing too negative. Felt great to just walk out and back in. So a great day - played tennis in the morning guy mode and nice afternoon in girl mode. Wish that could just be considered normal.

It is genuinely heart warming when someone offers a compliment. I am glad you were able to experience it. Every compliment comes as a bit of a surprised and is always deeply appreciated. Last time I was out to my favorite wine bar, the server said she loved my hair (I had changed color and cut) and a little later, the woman who owns the place said, “You always look so pretty.” No wonder I love going there!
