Hey ladies,

I'm just rambling here. Have not had the chance to dress all summer since the kids were out of school. They start up this coming week which normally would fill me with anticipation for the first opportunity to dress, but I'm just not feeling it for some reason. I'll blame work only because it has been insanely busy the past several weeks with multiple client deliverables due, and I have more due in the coming weeks. As a consultant, I joke I work 30 hours a day, 9 days a week. Having to work several hours over the last few weekends, I have no pink fog right now. I know this will change in time when that work-life balance swings back to being more normal. On a different note, being in this slump has helped with thinning out my wardrobe. I told my wife I have too many items that I no longer wear and need to donate them. I think I got rid of almost half of my clothing. Don't consider it a purge because these were styles that I no longer fancy or consider appropriate for a lady my age. So with that, it's just blah blah blah for the time. Thanks for letting me rant for a bit.

Hi Misty, IMO, ranting is a good thing. No apologies necessary. It lets off steam, frustrations, pressure, etc. Good mental activity. The old Primal Scream. Been there, Done that. Hopefully, things will improve and give you something to look forward to. Curious, is your wife on board?

Nancy,
Yes, my wife is on board and very accepting. We have a few ground rules such as not dressing in front of the kids.

Don't worry, you will get a chance in the not-too-distant future. Think about just how good it will feel!

Misty, I have gone through periods where I haven't dressed. Usually related to other issues in my life. When the issue abates, my desire to dress returns.

Rant away. Don?t feel pressured to be something. Lots of people, cis trans, gender variant? go through times where the can?t indulge every part of themselves. You only have so much time and energy in any given day. If dressing makes you happy you?ll find your way back just like I do to ice cream 🙂

I had the same kind of feelings lately [Or, maybe lack of feelings is more accurate]. I recently booked a hotel to relax, dress and have some femme time. When I got there, I just wasn't feeling it. I did slip into a nightie but, I went no further. I just didn't have the energy, or desire to go all out. I wasn't happy about my appearance. I didn't have the "Pink Fog".

I've been a dresser since I was very young. I know "slumps" happen but, when you have an opportunity, and it gets wasted, it's a bit of a speed bump.
