Early this morning I was going through some of my Joanie clothes, and put on a dress, and decided to put on a pair of 3" heels, for practice. I know some of you wear heels all the time, but I never wear anything over 2" outside the house, and only wear my kitten heels outside once in a blue moon. So it also turns out that this is about the fifth day in a row of dressing. My wife was out for the morning, and by the time she got home I had changed back to boy mode (I hadn't shaved or put on makeup). I said to her "I figured you are ready for me to have some non-Joanie time". She said didn't mind me dressing; the only thing she minded was the "clomping" up and down the hall! (She *never* *ever* wears heels).

Clomping is real. I asked my husband not to clomp up and down the stairs.

I don't clomp because I don't wear shoes in the house.

I wore hi spike heels around the house for years when I first began dressing, (clomping). After the first year I noticed all the rubber tips on the heels were gone!

I was marking up my hardwood floors!

Then, gradually I learned the proper way to walk in hi heels. NOT heels down first!:thumbsdn:

Now, I walk and dance in 4"+ spikes all nite and my heel tips stay intact. No more clomping!

Clomping usually happens when you try too hard to put your whole foot down at once. It's hard with heels but your heel should strike the floor first.

If you live in an upstairs apartment with wood or tile floors, don't be surprised if your downstair neighbor asks who you had over last night.
