Back in my 20's and 30's, I never went to clubs because I always felt stiff and awkward just bopping around to the music. Then I found country dancing and discovered my dance grove. LOL.
Fast forward 30 years. I'm home alone for a few days so naturally I'm all made up. I was playing with a vintage juke box I recently inherited and started dancing. I suddenly realized, I'm dancing like a girl. Moving my hips and arms like I've seen them do, and it feels so natural. Now, that would probably change if I did it in public. I think my problem all along was that I was trying to dance like the wrong person and that's why it felt wrong for all these years.
Excuse me while I go and dance some more.
