Do/did you under-dress? How far did you take it?

It wont be about a decade yet before I can think about retiring so underdressing at work is a big part of my way to stay connected to Sophia and keep my dressing desires fueled. If you underdress, how far do you take it?
Does it help keep the fog at bay or enhance it? Getting caught would be a disaster for me so Im pretty careful about getting too crazy and I cover up well.

When I first read your post my mind read "Dues it help keep the fog at ebay or enhance it?" Suppression of the need to express myself did lead to ebay and under dressing. When I was still working I was in a professional office environment. On occasion I wore panties and pantyhose. I would never have worn a bra as the straps and band would definitely had shown through my dress shirt. The pantyhose became a nuisance when using the bathroom, the same with a panty. However, after I retired or took off a day for a "mental health therapy day" things were different, especially in the fall and winter. My under dressing consists of a bra and panty under a camisole, usually in black or white, and pantyhose. My male outerwear during the fall and winter is a sweatshirt and regular fitting jeans. To add some volume to the bra I use a larger Nerf ball that has been cut into two half spheres which are easily removed if I want to just wear a flannel shirt and no sweatshirt. As long as I am in an environment where my shirt is not stretched due to flexing my body the bra straps and band do not show.

Nope. Never. It's either fully Marketa (make-up not included) or drab mode, but nothing in-between. Only exception was when one weekend, which are almost 100% Marketa-time, I found out I lacked some ingredient for planned lunch and needed to go to local shop. I thought for a second and decided that taking clean men's underwear for like 20 minutes is pointless so I went in my panties, but that's only under-dressing instance I recall.

Before I was out to my wife, 5 or 6 years ago, I did a lot of business travel, maybe 40+ weeks per year. I wasn't able to take complete outfits with me; they were safely stashed at home. However, I did sneak panties and pantyhose into my luggage sometimes, and sometimes if I didn't, I would buy panties and hose at the destination. I wore them in the hotel room, but also at work. My job was teaching computer programming; if my students only knew the instructor standing in front of them was hiding a big secret! So yes, I underdressed for a long time (decades) when I couldn't wear a full outfit. I flew underdressed (panties and hose only) dozens, maybe hundreds of times. I also underdressed when I could get away with it when I was not travelling. Sometimes that took some stealth, but I enjoyed the thrill. I don't wear hose now unless it's cool weather, and only with femme clothes, but I still wear panties every day under my cargo shorts on days I don't dress completely.

One summer, I was really into wearing panties to work. I got a couple of 6-packs of Hanes cotton panties. I was supposed to wash them every week, but washing them in stealth mode proved to be more difficult than I thought. But they were cheap enough that I could go buy a couple more 6-packs. I would get all different styles: Full coverage, French cut, hipsters. bikinis, whites, pastels, whatever suited my fancy. I went to work the whole summer in panties.

To throw my wife off the scent, I threw a pair of clean tight-whities into the wash every day.

I have an enlarged prostate (BPH) and I have a weak stream and problems emptying my bladder completely. This is much worse if I'm standing. So, most of the time I'll be sitting like a girl unless I'm in a really groady gas station bathroom and want to stand as far away as possible. So, I have a ready-made excuse for sitting. And no one can question my assertion. So, girls, sit if you want, and blame BPH. One other tip. Keep your panties around your knees rather than your ankles to avoid exposing secrets to anyone glancing under the stall.

I loved wearing panties to work. It kept me constantly in touch with Steffi. It was also pretty exciting to be keeping such a secret from everyone.

I admit I'm fortunate in that regard. My wife doesn't mind my dressing as long as I observe the boundaries.

That being said I was going to wear a garter belt and stockings one night to a dinner with a neighbor. My wife remarked that I might want to switch to pantyhose as the garter tabs were visible when I sat down. They stood up under my pants leg. Something a woman would zero in on immediately.

I took her advice and changed my hosiery selection.

Interestingly, since my partner and I got together and explored Natalie a lot more, I have desired to underdressed less and less. I think there is an element there where, while still not completely over the thrill of dressing in public, there is far more to it. And I tend to separate my two sides a lot more than I used to.

I often wear panties. I prefer cotton briefs. To me they are more comfortable than any men's styles, especially when the weather gets warm. That said, I have never found panties comfortable to sleep in ... too restrictive!!

When I was working, I went to the gym everyday, dressing in the men's locker room. I could slip on a pair of gray or white panties (briefs) and nobody looked twice. Not sure i couldd have pulled that off with bright or pastel colors, lace, floral prints, or thongs!! I tried wearing panty hose under my clothes but found it just too hot. I have some pull-on bras i used to wear to work on occasion. The straps are thin and smooth and with the padding removed from the cups they were completely undetectable.

Panties sizes are completely different from men's. Missies are 5. 6 and 7. Plus sizes are 8, 9 and 10.

I've got all kinds of panties: cotton, satin, microfiber, and lace and briefs, hipsters, hi-cut and bikini. I may even have a few thongs.

I think that the most important thing is the width of the gusset (between the legs). I have a simple rule of thumb (technically finger. The gusset should be as wide as the middle finger is long. If the gusset is not wide enough, you get a "wedgie" and you junk falls to one side or the other. Not very comfortable.

I?ve underdressed many times with a bra. I?ve never been discovered because I always wear a t-shirt under a dress shirt, and never a tight shirt. The looseness of the dress shirt provides all the protection needed to avoid detection. Add a racerback bra, and you are even less likely to be discovered. I always liked the knowledge that I had something in common with the women in the meetings at work. I?ve done this over 35 years (sparingly) and still never discovered.

Within a few months of our wedding, I wore a pair of my new wife's pink bikini panties to work one day. At the time the anxiety outweighed the enjoyment by a wide margin and I never wore a pair of panties for more than a few minutes for the next thirty years. No guarantees, though, but can think of worse problems to deal with.

I did underdress in my younger years when I started buying my own, usually just underwear, bras or pantyhose weather permitting. These days (56 now) I do not underdress unless you include the hanes cotton full briefs I wear under my work supplied uniform (by definition I suppose that does apply). My daily clothes are all from women's departments, basic non-descript jeans and tops (just find them more comfortable than mens), sports bras (no forms) and the like. I guess I would be a MIAD minus the dress. Dresses, forms, wig and makeup (poorly applied) are for when I stay home.

The pullover bras were not appealing to me as I much prefer underwire and so changed to underwire bras with foam pads which were then replaced by small silicone forms and silk camisole. Getting dressed became one of the highlights of my day and it was my secret what I had on under my office clothes and it sure helped get me through the day. I recently started dressing again after a two year break, but am not sure if I will underdress again. It takes a lot of work and precaution.

Mildly feminine panties were my first personally owned feminine clothes. I'd buy silky microfiber bikini panties, just in solid colors, with minimal or no lace or other decorations, and they swiftly became my preferred underwear when still outwardly presenting as a male. At the time, I'd been writing a lot of fiction stories where the main male characters engaged in crossdressing, and I told myself that I wanted to know how it felt to wear silky panties, while either tucked or untucked. (I really liked how it felt!) I also rather fondly recalled my teen years back in the late 1960's and early 1970's, when very similar bikini-style underpants, with no fly, were marketed to young men.

It was that last reason which I used as an explanation to my wife, when she eventually noticed my new panties in the family laundry or as I undressed for the night. (I usually did a fair share of our laundry myself, so for several months I had been able to occasionally run a batch through which she would never see, which included a few thongs and more lacy panties.) I did not admit to her that I had a gym bag full of other feminine attire which I liked to try on at home, when no one else was in the house, nor details about the erotic fiction that I was writing. (She knew that I was writing erotic fiction, primarily as commissioned work for others, and she knew I often did online gaming with a female avatar, but at that point she didn't know how much I was enjoying 'being female' as expressed in writing or gaming.) When she saw my panties in a batch of laundry, I simply stated, quite truthfully, that I used to wear similar underwear when I was in high school, at which time a lot of young men found bikini underpants to be fashionable, and that these women's panties were essentially the same, and I liked how they felt. She gave me a kind of sideways, skeptical look, and then shrugged and said, "Well, okay. Just don't wear mine." Which I honestly had no interest in, because her preference in panties were high-waisted white cotton women's briefs, which would have felt no different than my usual 'tighty whitey' men's underwear. (Nor did I have any real interest in her other clothing. She wasn't at all my size.)

Most of the time when underdressing, I would not be tucked. That led to an external appearance little different than when wearing male underwear. Experimenting with tucking did enhance my writing about crossdressed male characters, though, as I refined the details based on experience at home.

All of this was long before I had any conscious desires to dress visibly in women's clothes in public. My secret gym bag back then only contained a couple of skirts, several more lacy panties and thongs, and some blouses and pantyhose. I think I also had a few sports bras, and there was one waist-cinched steel boned corset that I had bought on a whim. I did have a feminine wig, but no shoes. And no makeup, since in that phase of my explorations, I had a full beard and was quite certain no one would ever mistake me for a woman, no matter what I wore.

My underdressing remained limited, for two years or so, to just wearing panties under my male clothes. A few times I dared to add a sports bra, with no breast forms, or even the waist cincher corset. I didn't buy breast forms or women's shoes until after my wife passed away, and I began exploring the idea of being clean shaven, and seeing if with makeup, shapewear, breast forms and the like, I could actually look female when in women's clothes. It took me four months or so of at-home private attempts before I was able to step out the door as a woman. But that, and what followed for me, is a tale in itself. ;)

Do I underdress? I sure do. Once years ago, when I was between jobs, I took a vacation for a month while my wife stayed home and worked at her job. I drove from coast to coast wearing panties every day and a bra and camisole most days. Now, with both of us retired, I don?t get to dress much at all but I will still underdress as often as I can. Mostly just panties, but in cooler weather when a jacket os a sweatshirt is appropriate, I will add a soft cup bra and maybe a camisole. Sometimes, if I feel adventurous, I will add pantyhose as well.
