Hello Lovely Ladies!

Isn't receiving compliments wonderful? For me, the very best compliments are the most unusual. Here's two:

1) My Texas Bestie Sandy Clifton and I were in Las Vegas getting professionally dolled up prior to a photoshoot on The Strip with our favorite makeup artiste/photographer Lindsey. Our rule is everything is G rated but wardrobe changes are in the plan so Lindsey might see us in our undies. No harm.

Well, in prepping I put on my ultrasheer nude pantyhose and black stilettos and am just sitting/relaxing on the bed. Lindsey walks by and catches a glimpse. Involuntary but very audible gasp. Best compliment ever!

2) Oooh, here's another great compliment. I got a makeover at the Austin TX MAC store several years back. The check out gal looked at the finished me and said "my, you're a tall drink of water"! If that's not passing, even for 10 seconds, I don't know what is. Thanks, check out gal, you made my day!

Your turn! What are your favorite/most memorable compliments? Tell all!

Hugs, Michelle

I don't count compliments from servers, SA's, etc. Because they're often disingenuous. It's their job after all!:battingeyelashes:

My best compliments have come from 2 sources: Young GG women and men who have come on to me.:daydreaming:

The young women could have just as easily passed me by. But, instead asked me to dance and/or complimented my look in some way.

I know what men want and they aren't that picky!|
But, I'm complimented by the ones that sneak around in front of me at a concert for a peek. When they've been looking at just my backside for awhile!:daydreaming:

And, the kinky men who come on even harder after I pull out a mask and put it on to scare them off! WTF!?
Unfortunately I'm not into men.

I have had some doozies which is, in part, what keeps me coming back for more.

There was this one woman in Ft Worth who was talking to me at a bar, and I told her I do not dress up all the time, I just do it for fun and entertainment. She then said I would make the perfect husband and said if I ever got divorced, that she wanted me. I am pretty sure she was not joking. Wow. That was a surprise.

This is something I've posted before, sorry for the repetition however some years ago while on Helen holiday I was sat in the car enfemme talking handsfree to the SO.

A young female, late teens, early twenties, walked by on the opposite side of the road accompanied by what I took to be here younger brother.

As she passed by she looked back and said something which I took to be some derogatory remark. Ignoring her and carrying on my conversation she stopped and then walked back to stand by my driver's window. Fearing an altercation I quickly hung up on my SO.

Anyway, what she actually said was, " You look fantastic". To say this took me by surprise is an understatement. The young boy by this time was stood next to her with a very puzzled look on his face and in the most innocent of ways only children can asked, "Are you a man?". So I answered truthfully that I was and they went on their way.

A second instance was when I met one of this forums members, Helena, in the lounge of a hotel, again when on a Helen holiday. Helena was on a walking trip with a friend and in drab so just me enfemme. The three of us sat chatting over drinks. So, just for a little detail I was wearing black heels and hose, a black tailored A line skirt, cream satin blouse with a string of pearls for good measure.

Pausing for a moment, Helena stopped, looked me up and down, paused and then said, "You look immaculate!". Now those sorts of complements I'll take all night. I'm sure I blushed.

A compliment i guess.

Having construction workers and linemen rush to hold the door as i enter or exit the Sheetz gas station.

Then tell me "have great day ma'am"

Biggest compliment? Probably at the local wine bar. The proprietor and I are about the same age and often talk of olden days and times of yore. On one ocassion, she asked if I had played any sports. Of course, being from a farm and small town, I rattled off football, baseball and basketball. She looked puzzled, and said, but Minnesota didn?t really offer those sports for girls until Title IX, some years later. It was then that I realized she had seen me as a woman for several years. I quickly reminded her that I had seven brothers, so I had to play everything, which was also true.

Just yesterday morning. My BFF of over 60 years called while I was in the playhouse dressed like this.

He said I looked hotter than most of the women he'd seen lately. What a great friend!

One day, I was going to see the janitor of our building, I had black leggings on, a white coat I love, hand gloves, white sneakers, but no make up, no jewels, no hat, my hair was long but with a big baldness at the very center...A kind of feminine guy you would say...And there was the mail man who said, "have a good day madam"...

Best day of my life, I had always hoped I could pass with a minimal change in clothes...That was it!!!! So happy.

Another time a guy kissed me at a party where I had come fully dressed, even if he knew I was transgender...He said "you're very cute"...I was in heaven!

Thanks for reminding me these two perfect moments :daydreaming:

My boyfriend always tells me I look gorgeous and beautiful when I wear lingerie in the bedroom. I wore a bridal nightgown/negligee on our first romantic night together and the look on his face when I came to bed that night told me everything even before he told me how gorgeous I looked. Just his looking at me as I came to bed was so validating.

I was at a half price books in Dallas fully en femme, and a check out lady said "oh, you look so pretty!" Made my day.

I often wear red nail polish in male mode and I have received many complements from women about it. Love them all.

I was walking from the parking lot to the restaurant where a bunch of us local girls were meeting. I was wearing a very chic jean skirt. I was passing by a group of young people and some GG in the group yelled out, "I really like your dress!" I don't know if they had made me or not, but it was a wonderful unbidden compliment from a random stranger.

I was dressed at home about a year after I came out to my wife, but the first time she had seen me fully dressed with a wig. She said I looked like my cousin. My cousin and I could pass for brother and sister.

I was waiting in the hotel lobby dressed to the nines. I got thirsty and ask the receptionist if I could find a glass of water. She said that the cafe is closed but I could go to their restaurant and they should be able to get me some water. The greeter obliged and came back with a glass of iced water and handed it to me with a genuine compliment, "I like your dress", with a big smile, the authentic one.

I was shopping at Macy?s for hose. The SA offered to help, but I knew what I was looking for. When I checked out, she commented how nice my makeup looked, especially my eyes. I couldn?t help but smile. I?m pretty sure she read me, but it made my day. When I/we go out I always dress to blend in. I have to thank my supportive wife for her advice and help.

I've only received two compliments, so they're both my favorite :) The first was when i attended a forum on Transgender issues during Dream Week. I decided to go in Cassie mode. It was a Saturday; held downtown in a highly public area we call "The Pearl" here in San Antonio. When I arrived and parked the car, I had to walk through a highly traffic area and then i realized, i didn't know exactly where the forum was being held. So, I walked into one of restaurants of the venue but was still closed. I walked up to the bar and asked for direction to the room of the forum. The young man answered me has he was washing a drinking glass. I said, "Thank you." He replied, You're welcome, Madam." ...He called me 'Madam: daydreaming: One may not consider this a compliment, but I sure do...

The second compliment occurred when a friend of mine and i stopped by a restaurant for a drink at their bar. I was in Cassie mode and my friend is a Cismale, and one of two who know about Cassie. We were sitting there, and my friend struck up a conversation with the gentleman sitting next to him. My friend turns to me and says, Cassie, i think this man went to high school with you. Now, normally, the music of terror would have speared my head. But for some reason, i remained calmed. The man was indeed a former classmate and bandmate of mine, two years younger than me. We actually had a nice conversation about the old days and present day. He was not taken back by my appearance. When our conversation ended, he got up from his seat, walked over to me and kissed me on the cheek and said, you're beautiful Cassie, be happy and left. How about that..:daydreaming: :battingeyelashes: :daydreaming:

I was at a makeover at Jamie Austin’s in Mass, I was outside where he was taking pics of me. I was maybe 20’ from busy Rt.12 and standing parallel to it so I could just look eyes left and see the traffic. It was a nice sunny day and I was dressed in a brown skirt, white v neck blouse, white 4” heels, pantyhose, blonde wig. I looked like a secretary that worked in the office building I was in front of when a guy driving by was looking at me and the road and me again and yells out a “whoo yeah baby” with a fist in the air. I still have the pics of that day, if he only knew….

I am so happy to read of these positive experiences. It makes me want to complete my looks, (make up/wig), so I can go out on the town. I have seen photos of most of you and can only someday hope to achieve the beauty of you all. Your dedication shows in your photos. I am so lucky to have so many pretty sisters here. Hugs, Meg

I'm not young and hot anymore, but two stand out :

1.)Once in a goth club restroom I was having a conversation with a woman who asked if I'd ever had a baby

2.)Once at a trans/crossdressing hang out I had a woman tell me she thought I was one of the GG wives

I want to look good when I dress pretty. Ideally, I want to look so nice that others' say, "I want to dress like that." I don't know if I will ever know if something like that happens. Anyhow, I don't get many compliments. Sometimes, --rather rarely-- I go out in public, and I get a lot of compliments. That's when I know, "THIS outfit is a winner!".

Here is a blog post from my blog when I had an outing like that: https://joeypress.wordpress.com/2018/11/28/christmas-shopping-2018-part-1/
I have had another outing or two where I received lots of compliments. Those were good days.

Once on one of my Camille days in a hotel, I was walking down a wide hallway. A well dressed gentleman was walking in the opposite direction, against the other side of the hallway. As we passed he looked at me, smiled, and said "You look beautiful". I was on cloud nine as I headed back to my room.

I was also told on another recent hotel day that I "look great" by a kind woman who offered to take my photo. It was nice to hear, though as she clearly identified me as a CD'er or trans woman, it didn't feel quite as wonderful as that other time. I think I'm always hoping to recapture that moment again. :)

My best compliments have all come from my wife.
Just the other day she said "You make a very pretty woman!"
She has said the same or similar things several times over the years.
She has also said several times "You are better at makeup than many other women I know".
A couple of months ago she saw some very recent pictures of me. One of them she really liked and she said "I can't get over how beautiful and feminine you look in that picture!". She has brought up several times that she is really impressed with that picture.
I love her so very much!

Last year at Diva Las Vegas, I got on a hotel elevator with two twenty-something GGs. I was dressed nice for a limo tour later that evening. The GGs both exited on a floor prior to mine, and one of them turned around and said, "You look lovely, and I hope you have a good time tonight." Goosebumps!

One year for Halloween, I stayed home and handed out candy but did so as Petra. High black heels, black tights, black mini dress, silver belt, Playboy necklace, wig, make-up, and C cups. Got a few compliments. Probably the best was the group of teenagers who came back and started asking me the usual questions because the first time they were there, they actually thought I was woman until I spoke up.

I had been growing my nails long, and had gone to the doctor's.

As I was walking out, I had to sign some forms, and the receptionist saw my nails. She said, "Most girls would kill to have [natural] nails like you."

I can't think of any actual compliments, but I'm over the moon when I'm "mistaken" for the real thing. For example:

One Halloween, I was dressed as a witch at a family restaurant (hint, think pizza and a mouse). One of the workers wanted to be "kissed by a witch." He was pretty insistent.

I went to a GG friend's house, to introduce her to Sara for the first time (she knew I was coming). When she opened the door, her first words were "OH, you're not..." before she was able to figure out that it WAS me.

The (more recent) rest area worker that assured me that the ladies' room was, indeed open.

There are only a couple others in my life so far, but I treasure them all.

FWIW, the closest I ever got from my wife when she asked me to take the trash out (to bins in the fenced-in backyard). I reminded her I was still in a nightgown. She said "if anyone sees you, they'll just think it's an ugly woman." Not exactly a compliment, but I'm so desperate for acceptance that I'd take even that.

I'll answer this one just cause Michelle asked. And I hope you didn't get caught in those floods down Asheville way.

I have received many wonderful comments and compliments. Not that I am that stunning, but I do try to look my best and project a feminine confidence.

Anyway the best occasion I received compliments was at the 2018 Crossport Holiday party. My weight was good and I rented my sparkly vintage Oscar Delorenta dress. And took great care in my makeup. There's a LOT more to the story.

Anyway I got to the party fashionably late, and walked into the decent sized and quite crowded steak house. I took offy overcoat and made my way to the front matre'de station. The girls working there eyes lit up. I asked for my group, and the girls argued over who would get to take me back to the room. On the way no less than four or five other patrons fawned over my dress . I felt like a celebrity on the red carpet.

That, girls, is one heck of a compliment.

A few years age I was in a shopping mall just window shopping mostly when I felt the need for the restroom. As usual the was a line and I waited my turn. I was next in line when a lady comes out of the stall and comes over to me and exclaims that she needs help with her zipper and turns around with her back to me. I found a loose thread hung up in her zipper and cleared it. I zipped her up and she gave a big hug and smile. Not really a compliment but it sure made my day.

I was out shopping with a friend and we got separated while leaving the store.

So I just waited a few minutes until she appeared.

She came back laughing, so I asked what was so funny.

Do you want the good news or the bad ?

She went on to say a friend she met on the way out, asked her if I was her mother.

Yesterday. My wife and I walking through a town a few hours away from home. Dressed in our Victorian best for their Halloween event (Victorian themed) and having people calling out how lovely us ladies look. And the gentleman who actually stopped and tipped his hat to me. Was I made? Probably by some, but not all. A bonnet can hide a lot of male features and I made sure I kept from speaking very much. My voice is my biggest giveaway..

Jenifer, yeah that's pretty good. I'll admit that I do like a bit of plunge in my neckline, so I try to present a nice decolletage. I've had more than one person ask how long I've been on HRT (which I am not). Yeah, that always gets me.

My very first time out dressed in public I was a bit nervous, of course. I then got a complement from a store clerk about the pendant I was wearing. It was an enormous confidence booster!

One of the first times I walked into a store a clerk called me "ma'am" and said I looked "absolutely adorable." Another time a lady complimented my blue sweater and my boots in the parking lot.

Once while at a club with some other CD's, I went outside for a smoke and a GG mentioned how nicely I was prettied up.

I suppose the max was a guy who approached me in a parking lot with "I'm likin' what I'm seein'" then proceeded to hit on me. Based on what others told me that night, I was doing something right.

I was out with our local group for a GNO on Saturday night. I was dressed as a theme park tourist. Basically a simple outfit that a GG would wear when visiting a theme park. Towards the end of the evening a woman who had also been dining there with her SO came up to me to say that she had been given two roses. She wanted me to have one in support of what we were doing. I was speechless.
